    Hi everyone this video was shot in the week before Coronavirus lockdown here in the UK. Please forage responsibly and follow government guidelines about going outside. Thanks!

    Hi. In our country ( Ukraine ) we make a spring salad with it. Some boiled eggs , some wild garlic and some mayonnaise. Delicious.

      Hi that sounds delicious. I have heard of this with asparagus but the wild garlic idea sounds great!!

      God keep you and your countrymen (and countrywomen) during this difficult time AND give courage and wisdom to those now defending the Ukraine. Also, grant that the United States and other countries come to the aid of Ukraine in a supportive manner.

    There's a patch about five minutes walk from me. It goes in everything I eat this time of year. Thanks for the information about the flower buds as I never knew that. Nice one.

    I just cant believe how they have access to just such a large variety of fruits , trees and plants. Feels like they live in paradise. Fresh produce right on their door step , surrounded by nature and enjoyed together in a close knit family and community! All the money in the world cant buy what they have.

    I used to pick wild garlic but since I got ill in March 2020, I lost my sense of smell. Now I can't really do it because when I try to smell the leaf, I can't smell anything, which is really off-putting. I miss the garlic smell.

      @@abcsol5083 There are some days where I can smell a few things faintly but not garlic. Apparently this is common with long covid unfortunately. :/

      @@aesaphyr Hello - has your sense of smell gotten any better since your last update?

    • @aesaphyr
      @aesaphyr 2 года назад +1

      @@beeticket I can smell a number of things, maybe with about 25-50% of the intensity with which I could smell them pre-covid, but still can't smell a bunch of things, and garlic is one of those things I can't smell. There are days every now and then where my sense of smell vanishes completely. I think I just have long covid quite badly. I'm also still having fever - and my covid infection was in March 2020. :/

      @@aesaphyr Thank you for sharing your experience. I know someone going through the same thing as you, and asked on his behalf. The thing that keeps me hopeful is that there isn’t any longterm COVID data, since it’s only been around 2 years, so you never know if your sense of smell might be right around the corner in coming back. Hope it does soon. (Also zinc is said to help)!

      Hi yes you can but it is invasive - see how it takes over in the wild. Maybe in a container would be good. Lift a few bulbs from a wild patch where there is plenty growing and plant them up.

    Shame these chanel seems to have ended - nice vedio.
    Anyway, I'm often put off garthering from the wild, other than friut,or if really remote, because if we all take 5%, it will not be long before there is none. So I order and planted my own wild garlic last autumn and it seems to be doing rather well :)
