Hi everyone this video was shot in the week before Coronavirus lockdown here in the UK. Please forage responsibly and follow government guidelines about going outside. Thanks!
No. Hoax.
US visitor here. Ordered and planted ramps 3 years ago. I harvested 5 leaves this year to add to a salad!!!! YUM!!!
Nice - great you have planted in your own garden, helps to preserve those wild stocks.
Hi. In our country ( Ukraine ) we make a spring salad with it. Some boiled eggs , some wild garlic and some mayonnaise. Delicious.
Hi that sounds delicious. I have heard of this with asparagus but the wild garlic idea sounds great!!
God keep you and your countrymen (and countrywomen) during this difficult time AND give courage and wisdom to those now defending the Ukraine. Also, grant that the United States and other countries come to the aid of Ukraine in a supportive manner.
@@ross-smithfamily6317 Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Finland and Sweden will all do something worthwhile before the US does anything "hard" aat all. The US wants the next war to be with China, a war they foolishly think they will win.
There's a patch about five minutes walk from me. It goes in everything I eat this time of year. Thanks for the information about the flower buds as I never knew that. Nice one.
I just cant believe how they have access to just such a large variety of fruits , trees and plants. Feels like they live in paradise. Fresh produce right on their door step , surrounded by nature and enjoyed together in a close knit family and community! All the money in the world cant buy what they have.
Wild garlic, sour cream and home bread!! I was born and raised on wild garlic :)
Thanks for sharing. I am plan to grow some in my backyard this year.
I really love wild garlic now, I made with mixed salad, stir fried chicken breast, grilled chicken... oh so delicious and smell amazing.
Damn player I wish we had wild garlic like that in North America.
Who ever knew our forests had such simple bounty!
its amazing what you can find out there when you look!
Thank you very much. 👍

Not one human owns land it belongs to all ...
Agree wholeheartedly but afraid the corrupt legal system doesn't 😢

Hi! Would Lily of the valley mix in a wild garlic colony and grow together? Thanks!
Hi, how many days does wild garlic need to harvest from the date of budding or planting?! Can he handle high scores?
eeeeeez briteesssshhhh
I think wild garlic helps bears and wolves fight fleas and worms.
I used to pick wild garlic but since I got ill in March 2020, I lost my sense of smell. Now I can't really do it because when I try to smell the leaf, I can't smell anything, which is really off-putting. I miss the garlic smell.
Did you recover your sense?
@@abcsol5083 There are some days where I can smell a few things faintly but not garlic. Apparently this is common with long covid unfortunately. :/
@@aesaphyr Hello - has your sense of smell gotten any better since your last update?
@@beeticket I can smell a number of things, maybe with about 25-50% of the intensity with which I could smell them pre-covid, but still can't smell a bunch of things, and garlic is one of those things I can't smell. There are days every now and then where my sense of smell vanishes completely. I think I just have long covid quite badly. I'm also still having fever - and my covid infection was in March 2020. :/
@@aesaphyr Thank you for sharing your experience. I know someone going through the same thing as you, and asked on his behalf. The thing that keeps me hopeful is that there isn’t any longterm COVID data, since it’s only been around 2 years, so you never know if your sense of smell might be right around the corner in coming back. Hope it does soon. (Also zinc is said to help)!
Can I grow wild garlic in my garden? Where can I get the seeds please? Thanks.
Hi yes you can but it is invasive - see how it takes over in the wild. Maybe in a container would be good. Lift a few bulbs from a wild patch where there is plenty growing and plant them up.
where I live foragers strip the woods bare, I wonder what gives them the right to so, t have seen cars loaded up with it, they're in and out like a flash.
Sad when people are so greedy.
Shame these chanel seems to have ended - nice vedio.
Anyway, I'm often put off garthering from the wild, other than friut,or if really remote, because if we all take 5%, it will not be long before there is none. So I order and planted my own wild garlic last autumn and it seems to be doing rather well :)
