I wanted to address some of the main comments we have received on this video. Re-griping this pistol: This was the first time I had fired the pistol and I was just trying to adjust my grip between shots until I found my correct grip with it. You will notice in the close up videos that were shot later in the day I wasn’t doing it anymore because I had found my correct grip for this pistol. Many people will do this with new pistols, you will see people like Tim from the Military Arms channel do it at times with new pistols also. Thanks for watching! Gun that Matched the watch: I agree this was a silly comment and should have been edited out. It was a long day of filming really didn’t think it was that big of a deal. It makes more since for me because I primarily open carry. But it was kind of a silly comment.
I support your right to open carry but think that decision is sillier than the accessory comment. Limits your options in a deadly situation where you may need to choose your reaction and timiing.
No need to explain yourself man. Fuck these keyboard warriors. Youre actually on the range getting gun time to learn your new firearm and improve your skills. Thats all that matters
I've had the manual safety, (Mass Compliant) version of the P365 for 2 years now. Although I have shot it less than I would have liked due to the ammo shortage, the gun has been completely flawless. No defects, no failures of any kind with brass case, steel case, hollow point, and plus P ammo. It's accurate, easy to conceal, and does everything you need in an EDC gun.
700 rounds through mine in several weeks. 0 malfunctions. I'm not a Sig fan, and this is my first Sig to own. I like this gun more every time I shoot it.
Damn people, chill out about the watch comment. Some people take things so literal. I guess you have too much time on your hands to call people out on a comment. The man did a great job, thanks for the informative video.
Great review, thank you. I waited almost two years to buy my P365. Mine was manufactured January 2019. 400 rounds through it and zero issues. I shoot 124 grain, the recoil is very controllable, even with the short 10 round magazine, and this small gun is very accurate. For conceal, it’s my favorite all around handgun, and it’s very comfortable to carry all day.
I've been extremely happy with mine so far. I've owned a number of different single stacks from different manufacturers over the years, and the P365 is head and shoulders above the rest, and not just because of the game-changing capacity.
Waited until Sig got the problems lined out and bought one in July of last year and have never had a single issue. Love, Love, Love the little gun that can! Eats everything I've thrown at it, including my own reloads, ball ammo, hollow points and critical defense rounds. 12 + 1 with extended or 10 + 1 flush mag, what's not to like. Shoots POA and POI! Looking forward to picking up the new 15 round mag. Thanks Sig!
I’ve been shooting/caring one since last July, at this point I’m around 600-700 rounds down range. It has been fantastic, 100% problem free. I haven’t had any issues caring it or shooting it. Actually, I was even thinking of getting my mom and my little sister one. Love the P365!
I have close to 2000 rounds through my P365. I love the size, the round count, and the ability to conceal the firearm. This thing has a crazy great trigger in it. Very shootable. You can control the recoil and get right back on target. Sig hit a home run here. Top sold handgun in 2019.
My wife and I each have one. Born on dates in May, 2020. 700-800 rounds through each with no problems. I check a few of the primers each time at the range and so far no sign of primer drag. We got a couple of their “Tac-Pacs” that came with 3-12 round mags and a holster. Previously a Glock guy and I still love them, but I retired my G19 for concealed carry. I also put a manual safety on the one I carry. I’m just not comfortable without some sort of trigger safety.
I’ve got a new sig p365 one that was made in 2019 and I’ve put a little over500 rounds through it and had no problems with it and that is now my new primary concealed carry weapon
Ive had my P365 since july 18 with zero issues, have close to 2000 rds. down range. This is my EDC with 12 rd mag and 12 rd extra mag I carry. Love this gun, shoots very well and I don't even feel it after short time when carrying
I have a June 18 P365 and carry it whenever I am in a state that allows me to. I have shot 200 rounds of HST 124gr through it and another 300 rounds of Blazer Brass 124gr with NO issue. Yes, it has a primer swipe, but so does my Shield45. Great gun, easy to carry.
Just got one and put 200 rounds through it today. 150 rounds of Federal steel case and 50 rounds of Hornaday self defense. Zero malfunctions and very accurate! I had trouble at first finding the right grip but after adjusting it was fabulous to shoot! Great little self defense tool, smaller and higher round capacity than the Glock 43 I've had for years! Good video brother!
I have been waiting for a year for Sig to work the bugs out of the P365 . After watching this and other new reviews I pulled the plug today and bought one . Under five hundred with free shipping . Can't wait to get it . Very nice review .
All of you clowns giving the guy a hard time about his grip are perfect shooters aren't you? How many different types and sizes of pistols have you shot? Good video... good review. Well done sir.
I just think it's a bad habit he has. I don't think I'm a better shooter or anything. I just never developed that habit. There are a ways of unlearning it but first you have to be made aware that you're doing it because some people don't actually realize that they do it.
You are correct it is a bad habit. I have large hands and it was the first time I ever shot these small pistols. When getting used to a subcompact I will re-grip at first until I find the right grip and hand pressure for these guns. I release my hand to reset my grip until I find the grip that work to control the pistol with out over pressure in the hands. Very small guns with thin small grip are easy to over grip when you have big hands. The Guy from Military Arms Channel does the same thing at first.
These comments are brutal lol. Give the guy a break. Appreciate the time making the video. I’m trying to figure out if the kinks are worked out before buying one and this was helpful.
That’s great man! Glad its running good for ya. Personally I thought it was a great little pistol and perfect for concealed carry. Thanks for watching!
I bought my P365 a few days ago loved it, except the rear sight. The rear dovetail was loose so that the rear sight would just slide back and forth. Very disappointed that they QA missed this called them they sent me a shipping label and I mailed it out to repair. My P938 had to be mailed back for repair when I bought it be because the extended magazine would drop out of mag well when shooting. I will probably keep my 365 but I might be done buying sig after this. Don’t like having to mail everything I buy for repair as soon as I buy it.
I have had my P365 since May of 2018 with approximately 600 rounds through it with out a single malfunction. I absolutely love this gun for EDC. Sometimes I just forget that I even have it on me.
Philip B I bought mine at the same time, over 1200 rds thru it, not one issue. Eats everything from cheap steel to Hst 124 +P. It’s my edc and I can’t see that changing
Bought an early model and had all kinds of problems with it ... FTEject, FTFeed, and a lot of FTGoIntoBattery. Sent it back to Sig on Voluntary Recall and replaced about 10-15 parts including a new barrel. No problems since then. Have bought two more, one built Nov 2018, the latest built in Jan 2019. All shoot just fine, no hick-up on any. Nice review. Most early complainer just refuse to acknowledge that the problems are fixed.
I’ve had my 365 about six months it’s an absolute gem. It is a beautiful gun, and is very accurate. I’ve put about 1000 rounds through it with zero problems. It is moving my P938 to backup. I am very pleased to have both these Sigs in my CCW rotation!
Mine is a Oct 2018 model. Light primer strikes was my main problem but discovered clearing the striker of factory grease (leaving it bone dry) fixed the issue per Sig's customer service help.
This is why I waited a little while and just purchased a new one recently after reviews showing the problems were fixed. I don't think they could afford to acknowledge another issue. I am very happy with this over my old and enjoyed P.C. Shield.
I have over 1800 rounds thru my 365. Never a problem of any kind. Wonderful weapon. Just as good as the Shield--better for the number of rounds carried. I would like to see a safety on it--but that is me. Great gun!!! My gun was made in June/July 2018. Thank you Sig.
@@sarez0220 Interesting--just have not seen one. Maybe at the NRA show in Indy or the Conceal Carry Convention in Pittsburgh in May. Thank you for sharing.
Now I am up to over 2,000 rounds--no problems. At the NRA show in Indy, Sig says the gun will have a safety this summer. Sig does not give any hope to retro fitting the current 365 with a safety. Sounds like i need to buy a new one. Great Weapon!!!
I bought mine in March 2019 and put about 400-500 rounds through it with no issues. Shoots great for such a small pistol and boggles my mind how it can fit so many rounds in such a tiny volume!
I bought a P365 in November/2018. No issues whatsoever. I had heard of the issues mentioned and pretty much waited until they had some time to deal with it. I learned that any P365 manufactured after July/2018 was good to go so I decided to buy one. I was looking at both the P365 and the Glock 43. The extra capacity sealed the deal. I bought some of the 12 round mags and that gave me 13 rounds before a mag swap vs. 7. No regrets.
Thank you for explaining everything in detail! I really wanted to buy this gun but I was concerned about the issues people were talking about. Now I feel confident about buying it for conceal carry.
TacTuner, it's a good video, don't take any criticism too seriously! If you keep at it, a year from now you'll be amazed at the improvement you've made in videos- because everyone goes thru that process.
Thanks for the support man! It means a lot. I know it comes with the territory. Don’t mind the criticism if it’s at least respectful but it is social media so what do I expect right! Thanks again bud!
@@tacticaltuner4217 Hey no prob! It takes guts to just put oneself on YT, because the Gun Community eats its own! Instead of spending time trolling videos to bash guns one doesn't like- people should be sending emails and letters to their politicians about gun rights!
I haven't had the best experience with mine. I bought it brand new at the start of July, so it was the very latest version with the external thumb safety. I had multiple FTEs and a few light strikes. I sent it in and, wow, they shot a whole 40 rounds through it and replaced the recoil spring. When I got it back, I still had FTEs, no light strikes, but started having FTRB failures. So, I sent it back a second time and I just got it back to day. This time, they replaced the entire slide and fired 150rds through it. I haven't shot it again myself yet, so we'll see. Jury's still out on this one. The only good thing I'll say is they have VERY fast turnaround service. Both times, it was only a week door to door.
Love the 365. Bought it new in 2023. Just noticed, after one year, the front sight is dead. Sig stated their sights are warrantied for (5) years. They sent a prepaid label to ship back the slide to replace the front sight. Hopefully the replacement will last longer.
As of June 14, 2019 My P 365 Manufacture date: (04 Feb 2018) has had 4,600 rounds of N.A.T.O. Spec. Sellier & Bellot 115 gr. FMJ ammo. I've had zero issues with 2 user error failure to lock back due to riding slide lock. I own 10-12 and 15 round magazines and ran them all. I have only 200 rounds thru the New 15 round magazine's and they ran flawlessly. I will now carry the 15 rd. magazines pocket carry and use the 10 or 12 round IWB 3:30-4 o clock.
I waited until May of 2019 and purchased to most updated version. I have exactly 300 rds through the pistol. Zero problems with assorted ammo. My next trip will be shooting a box of Federal HST 124 gr. (my preferred edc ammo). So far been very good. After 500 rds. if everything go well it will replace my G43. The P365 has turned out to be even better than I've expected. I like this pistol for those times when something smaller is needed for concealment to compliment my primary edc the P320 compact.
Mine has a born on date of January, 2021. No failures with ball, HP and +P HP. No primer drag either. Simply flawless. The size makes it absolutely the very best CC pistol in the market today. Trigger is wonderful. Just a pleasure to shoot. Not snappy, even with +P.
My research seems to agree with yours. I have P365 with birthdate April 2018. It has the new sites, but the old trigger bar spring and firing pin. I wrote sig an email requesting that they replace the above and they pretty much told me not to worry about it. Since this is to be my new carry gun, I do worry about it. I then wrote a second email to sig offering to return the gun and have them replace the trigger bar spring and firing pin at my own expense and they refused this as well. That really surprised me, since it was going to be my dime. I then sent a third email asking if I could buy the parts from them and then hire a gunsmith to do the work. They said yes. I have 4 sig pistols and love them all. Their PR department needs some work.
Wow that is disappointing, and sad that Sig is treating their customers like that. Thanks for letting us all know. I sure hope that you get it they way you want it eventually. Please follow up and let us all know how it turns out. Good luck with it bud and thanks for watching and for the info!
yeah their cs people aren't too hot. i had an issue with my x5 shooting low. called them and they said there is nothing wrong and if i sent it back to them and they determine nothing is wrong they would charge me . they put on a too tall front on x5's and won't remedy it. the x5 is my first and last sig .
I’ve put 500 rounds through mine. Dec 17th birth date. Brass was flawless. Winchester steel case in the 150 round box I had 5 FTE steel in the chamber. Just being honest on its reliability. It’s just steel case ammo where it gets crappy with reliability. Steel case ammo for me is just range ammo. It’s cheap and you can buy more ammo than brass for a cheaper price. I wish it would cycle every type of ammo through it but it is what it is. So far brass cased ammo has not let me down. I also carry nickel plated brass defensive ammo with no troubles. Just something to remember if a guy was thinking about buying a P365.
Just bought mine and fell in love with it!! Started looking at it to see the manufacturer date and was suprised to find it was made on 11/8/19!! Lol. I was born 11/8/70! Thinking on calling it my little Scorpio✌😁 I absolutely love this little gun!
I have a sig. P365. Put around 350 rounds down range with zero malfunctions. Born on date 2/22/19. I really like this gun and plan on carrying it after a few more range trips.
@@byronmarquart6608 - - - Use a MagLula mag loader to load the mags as fully as possible, then let them sit that way for a week to break them in. The mag springs are known to be very stiff.
It’s called primer drag because the resetting the next bullet is so fast that it cant get the ejected shell out fast enough, but the bottom line is the ammunition thats out there doesn’t flash as fast as the gun fires and ejects so the fix for most are try better ammunition so we tried it and the primer drag was nil then, I have shot probably shot a 1000 rounds and not a issue and for for the last eight months i have owned mine not a single problem also my triggers pulls at 5.5 pounds and is getting better as i shoot it more the other i bought i gave to my son also again not any issues, to be honest with you i have bought and own just about every brand of small hand gun out there I guess to try and find the very best concealed hand gun made plus i just love to shoot and this little fella sold me with the magazine the amount it can hold for such a small pistol as it is, 12 rounds vs 6 rounds in a gun fight might be your life so we need every advantage we can get, i have heard the Remington has put a great little concealment pistol out but i yet to see it, but once again i cant say enough about joe my little brother that hangs out under my belly as i carry appendix and its perfect for that carry spot. Love it
Dag0288 it called milking the grip. Readjusting after every shot. Might be the size of his hands or the placement of his support hand. This usually caused by the pistol grip shifting in the hand. Or placement of support hand is not stable or grip not tight enough. Seeing his grip from the side it’s obvious that his support hand finger resting on the front strap of the trigger guard is the cause.
It is not an issues of under-griping the pistol, It was a new pistol to me and the first time I had shot it. I was adjusting my grip between shots until I found my grip with this pistol. You will notice in the up close shots of the gun I am not doing it anymore. These shots were taken later in the day after I got use to my grip with it.
Been carrying mine for over 7 mo. Probably around 500 rounds through it. Not one issue at all. Ran every round i put through it. Maybe Im lucky. But I am very happy with it.
Picked mine up in Nov 2018. It came with a dim sight and Sig sent me a prepaid label, had it back to me within a week. I’ve put in excess of 1000 mixed rounds (steel and brass target, at least 200 Gold Dot and 124 gr HSTs with no problems at all. Absolutely love this gun for EDC. With the idiots running Calif it makes no sense to carry my G19 with a 10 rd mag when I can carry this Sig instead. Hopefully the state will lose their mag ban appeal and I can get the 12 rd and maybe even the new 15 rd mags for it. My plan would be 12+1 for concealed carry with a 15 rd spare.
BOD April 16, 2019. I have only fired ten rounds so far and they have the primer strikes. I do not care for the 10-round magazines; I purchased the 12-rounds.
Nice video! I’m very happy with mine. Historically, I’ve never had an issue with any Sig. I feel they will address any issues with this awesome firearm! Looking forward to more good stuff from you! Cheers from Texas!
1100$ in Costa Rica out of my budget so I went with glock 19c paid 975$ guns are really expensive here nice little gun tho!! sorry for my bad englesh guys
Dude,we have a multitude of native North Americans that are less proficient in English than you...No apology necessary. Tough that you have to pay roughly twice what we have to though..
Mine is a late 2019. 500+-rds of many different brands, bullet types and weights fro steel cased 115 fmj’s to my carry ammo 147gr Ranger xt. No malfunctions or primer drag of any kind.
I bought my first sig saur in feb. The born on date is 1-30 - 2019. I have put between 350 to 400 rounds through it. I used fmj as well as hollow points. Also used differing grain of ammo. No hickups, none, zero. However, i do see a substantial ammount of striker drag. Im not sure if that means anything, some you tube warriors say it does and some say it dont. Anyway thanks for sharing.
Primer drag maybe bad and it my not matter. I could find concrete info from an machinist or engineer that said it would have negative effects for certain. I wish one would give us an answer.
@@tacticaltuner4217 As a gunsmith, I can say that eventually your firing pin will break in this firearm, probably sooner than other firearms that don't drag quite as much. I just got to test fire one of these this past weekend, and I did notice quite a bit of drag on the primers. That being said, many parts in firearms wear out sooner or later, including firing pins (I can't tell you how many of those I've replaced, just in general), and pretty much any other small moving part. Use it enough, it'll eventually break. Personally, unless more data comes in on this being an issue, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just keep your shit maintained, as per the norm. I intend to purchase at least one, maybe two, to add to our collections, as I'm thinking it'll be a nice pocket-revolver replacement.
@@DrRageFist awesome intel brother, i agree that eventually you will have issues with something in a handgun especially if you shoot it enough. Im a retiered leo here in south Florida. I carried the same Glock 23 for close to 20 years. I always took as many tactical firearms classes as humanly possible both on and off duty. Went to the range when ever possible and i have thousands of rounds through that bad boy. The only issue i ever had was the extractor claw got chipped and it wasn't expending the rounds properly. Keep getting jammed. Easy fix and i got a bunch more rounds through it. Thanks again for the intell
Mine was born November 2018 and has had zero issues (1000+) but came with the infamous dead front sight. Called Sig and they sent me another one free. Great customer service and great little firearm.
In addition to the 365 bought in January of 2019, I have two other Sigs. I have a 938 and a 229. I have yet to have a failure to fire or any other issue with any of my Sigs.
I recently purchased a 365X made in Sept 2021, having just bought the pistol I don't have hardly any rounds put on it. I did check my spent rounds, no primer drag 🤞
I just bought a Sig P365, 2 days ago, on October 30, 2019. I ordered 2 blue label Gen 5 MOS Glocks. A G19 with factory Ameriglo night sights and a G45 with factory Ameriglo night sights. I had seen a few videos on the P365, and the shop I go to, had a few in stock. I buy all of my firearms from The James Madison Gun Shop, in Brush, Colorado. The owner is a super cool guy, is very honest and has some of the very best pricing around. In many situations, he is even cheaper than many online stores. Due to my job, I am able to purchase blue label firearms. The shop owner had some blue label P365’s in stock, with factory night sights. My Sig was manufactured in January of 2019. Hopefully, it will not have any of the same issues older P365’s had. The only issues I have observed with my P365, is the takedown lever is very stiff and is almost impossible to get it to move. My other issue is with both magazines. The rounds don’t want to eject. Even manually trying to remove them is difficult. I’m hoping both issues will go away in time though as the firearm breaks in and gets more use. I paid $445.00 for mine. From what I am seeing them selling for, that seemed like a good deal to me and so as a result, I pulled the trigger, (pun intended) and bought one. It’s my first Sig Sauer, and if I like it, I will go back and buy a P320 as well.
Jason Ralston Little trick to get the rounds out of the mag...press down on the end of the round, primer side. Release and thumb them out. I had the same problem, but figured this out and I can unload one in like 5 seconds now.
Great review. Mine was born in May 2018. I have gone to the range about 10 times with it, shooting about 100 rounds each trip. I am very happy with it and I have noticed nothing wrong yet.
Too early to tell if your SIG P365 is a good one. Fire at least 2,500 rounds and if none of the many problems surface then you're good. BTW: Don't use it for self-defense until the shooting of those rounds.
@@sweetcostarica On another p365 video you said you chose a baby Glock over a p365, so why can't you be happy with your choice, and not troll p365 videos?! Your point about 'many problems' is an intentional exaggeration... Read what he said- no problems so far in 1,000 rounds, which rules out all the previous 'problems' you p365 bashers like to allude to, except the possibility of a broken striker or unhooked trigger return spring that would result in a dead trigger. Those two problems were VASTLY exaggerated by people like you, Sig owned the issues, and resolved them back in June 2018. But many of the p365s made before June have been fine as well. Time to grow up, act like an adult, and stop trolling videos of products you don't like.
@@bikeracerdude Are you stalking me bro. I just was over at *Last Line Of Defense's* SIG P365 video discussion and now I see you here trolling me. You made an unwise statement on the popularity of the the brand new & about *2 month* old Glock 43X/48 comparing it's sells in those two month to the over *two years* sells record of the SIG P365. That was a good one. Now you are over here putting out more strange opinions like: " 1,000 rounds, which rules out all the previous 'problems'" Bro you do know many problem can & do occur after at 500, 1000, 2000, 3000, etc rounds right. - With the SIG P365 they had firing pins breaking at around 2,000 rounds, something less. So think bro. Anyway, I still like you because you're hilarious *bikeracerdude.* *Stop stalking me though.*
@@sweetcostarica I'm a Sig fan, so by definition I can't be guilty of trolling Sig videos. It's only trolling or stalking when the commenter doesn't like the product in the video- like you coming here to bash! As for the sales data I quoted, they're month to month sales numbers AND the totals for the year- so far neither the g43x or 48 have been in the top five for the first three months of this year, while both the p365 and p320 have. The p365 started shipping in Jan 2018- far from the two years you wrongly claim, and it wasn't even in full production until May or June of 2018. You made the mistake when you said "*many* P365 problems..."- it was a mistake because there were never 'many', and because the problems would've been when the gun was new, and not after 1,000 rounds. The exception to that would be the small possibility of a broken striker or unhooked trigger return spring causing a dead trigger. Those other p365 problems you alluded to always show up when the gun is new and first fired- not after 1,000 rounds. You should learn the actual facts at SigForum, DefensiveCarry, or SigTalk, instead of relying on YT for your gun info. Also, grow up, have some dignity, and quit trolling p365 videos!
So far I have put 500 rounds through our sig p365 with no problems other than the primer drag but it doesn’t seem to be a issue or causing any malfunctions. The gun was built in August of 2018. It seems to be a great little gun I purchased it for my wife as concealed carry gun. I was considering purchasing the new P365 XL when it is released
I looked at one at a gun shop today and noticed how gigantic it makes my S&W Shield G2 look and it has more ammo capacity. What I’m happy about is that it’s not a DAO it’s more like a Glock trigger something that was keeping me from wanting it. I must have one.
C.E. VIII I’m mostly referring to the long heavy trigger pull and long reset of DAO pistols that cock the hammer back and release the hammer as the trigger is pressed. I like to refer to the glock style trigger as well Glock style trigger as it has a small amount of take up and then boom it fires with a short reset of the trigger. So there is a huge difference as DAO triggers mostly resemble the trigger of double action only revolvers and Glocks are not. I used to own a Sig P250 that had a really smooth but really heavy DAO revolver like trigger that for me was hard to hit my target with as regardless of how carefully I pressed the trigger and how well I gripped my pistol I’d consistently pull the muzzle way down. Long story short, I know my shit and I know what I’m talking about haha.
Bought a new P 320 Compact last year and my head is still spinning with what is going on with unsafe ramblings about it. Thinking about adding the P365 and the few negatives will not deter me from getting one. Excellent video.
i have close to 1500 rounds with the p365, no issues whatsoever with the exception of the original 10 round meg , sig replaced it and i have zero issues with it. i carry this gun everyday and shoot it once per week , primer drag is going on with both the shield and G43 (refer to a video by legally arm america about this subject) if any of you are worried about the striker, you can change it to all steel for about $100.
Ya I mentioned the G43 and shield in the video to. I see reports of a lot of pistols with drag. I personally don’t see any issues with this gun and really really liked it. Thanks for the info and for watching bud!
The review on the newer or revised version is needed. The upgrades like with any engineering project should have happened but sales & marketing push products out too quickly. I am a retired engineer, now a goat rancher. My goats are smarter than many marketing folks that I worked with. The comments by users have even more value because users bought one on their own dime & are more straightforward than most gun writers. I always lean toward user comments. Other issues not discussed but are obvious are its size. It is small for a purpose. It is designed to be carried comfortably and carried a lot while not necessarily shot shot a lot. One writer who did a 2000 round & a 4000 round test whined about the grip and mag changes. His gripes would have carried over to my Kahr MK9 too. This is life with a compact/micro pistol. The small size results in trade offs. As a combat soldier, ammo capacity is important. Despite statistics, my. real life experience is that bad things happen quickly. Having more ammo in the weapon is a necessity. Larger ammo capacity is a force multiplier for users. Also carrying a spare magazine makes sense simply because bad unexpected events do not fit a statical model. This pistol with its small size (and trade offs ), appear to match my requirements. My comparison is my Kahr MK9. Size is close, reliability seems fixed, good accuracy, better sights, & more ammo capacity. These advantages impress me. I’m open to comments if I’m mistaken. 😎
You make some real good points. I agree. My thought ms have always been if the gun isn’t comfortable to most people wont actually carry it daily. So the gun has to be comfortable. The gun has to be reliable, carry the gun with the highest capacity that you can comfortably carry, next carry the gun with the longest site radius that you can comfortable carry. I think body type plays a big roll in what gun to chose for EDC. Thanks for the info and perspective. Will give viewers something to think about. Thanks for watching.
Great comments. First off, it is a personal dream to have a farm/ranch with goats! Second, I agree that smaller guns will have trade offs. If someone wanted more purchase/grip area with similar capacity there is always the Taurus G2C.
That’s great, glad to hear it. Let me know if you do have any issues so that we can keep everyone informed. I hope the issues are over because I really liked this pistol.
@@chrisjgilmore1 ok thx. This is the gun that sparked my fervent interest in ccw when it first came out, so I'm really pulling for it and have been holding off for QC.
@@brianbuchert6382 I buy all black guns cause I dont care... but that is me. I think youd be missing the point if you thought like that. Not you just people.
Not that it isnt important but your at never going to get any stock subcompact to where you can do speed reloads like we do in competitions. Your not going to have an oversized mag release, magwell and large extended mags on a any stock carry gun, so from one subcompact to the next they are all more difficult to do speed reloads so with this Sig it’s not a big deal. Of course the reload quickly is always important.
You never mentioned “competition”. The entire video was about a CCW gun. You said it was your CCW so mag speed loads were not an issue. Rewind and listen to it yourself.
You are right I didnt say anything about competition in the video, I was explaining my view in our conversation here. I am saying don’t know if any sub or micro compact that has controls good enough to do good speed reloads. So that fact the the Sig doesn’t have control that aid in speed reloads it doesn’t matter because most guns in this class don’t have great controls for speed reloads. What sub or micro compact do you think has good controls for speed reloads over this Sig?
Bottom line Sig used us, the consumer as the beta tester. I agree not the first company to take this approach, but they did. Disclaimer I don’t give a rats arse what company it is but don’t piss on my leg and tell me it’s rain. Will not sell my sigs that work to cut my nose off to spite my face. This BS publicity stunt has run its course. We the community, the customer, the ultimate stake holder deserve much better, not just from Sig but from Glock S&W, FN, Ruger, all the top level charging premium price to get it right before we put our hands on it, that simple. Stop promoting a bad decision made by any manufacturer of the top of the crop. Skee
Sitting here with a real expensive SIG 320 I need to ship back to the factory, because they shipped them not drop safe. Bottom line this company seems to be specializing in producing firearms that are more expensive than their peers, have problems right out of the box and were not properly field tested. The only positive I can say about what is passing for quality at SIG is I bought a GLOCK 19X ands H&K VP-40 to do the SIG’s work and both are awesome pistols., SIG needs to start performing to Industry standards. Get it together SIG!
That rear tension pin on mine got loose after about 400 rounds...It might have been like that already. But I can move it with my finger, especially when the clip is out. That little pin in the rear, right below the slide. I read online that some other people had it happen too. Mine was born in Feb. 2019....no other problems, but not a good start. On it's way back to Sig. I don't consider it something that would make it not reliable, it shoots great and I love it..but it's irritating after only 400 rounds to have a loose part.
@@tacticaltuner4217 Ur welcome...The Sig rep told me that they have had that issue, but not lately. Who knows though..I never really trust what customer service tells me.
I purchased a brand new Sig P365 this year in late February 2019. Had issues from the very first range round fired - failed to go back into battery EVERY ROUND. Tried it with multiple ammunition brands, 115 gr FMJ loads, same issue. The "best" ammo was the Sig Sauer Elite Performance, I was able to bump the back of the slide after every shot and fire again, then bump, fire, etc. But with every other brand of ammo tried, it failed to go into battery, and I had to drop the mag, strip the round from the chamber, reinsert mag, chamber round, fire, repeat. Called Sig customer support and got some jerk of a customer service rep claiming "You just have to fire 200 to 300 rounds through the gun, it will be fine! You can send it back to us but all we'd be doing is breaking the gun in for you." I said "Okay fine, break it in for me, but I'm NOT doing this crap for 300 rounds." Sent it back to Sig, they polished the chamber & ramp, and replaced the recoil spring. Now it has ZERO ISSUES and I absolutely LOVE shooting it. How this particular firearm made it past Sig Sauer's quality control department, I have no idea. But I love it now and carry it everywhere. It does have the striker drag marks on the primer but it appears to have no effect on the gun's function or reliability.
I purchased mine around mid June of 2018 and have since put through 1500 rounds of range ammo along with 40ish of Sig V-Crown 124 grain and I've had one failure to extract. The one failure though was with Wolf 115 grain steel cased ammo so take it how you would like.
What's with your hands while you are shooting? My P365 has given me zero issues so far but a friend of mine got his finger bit. I've run every hollowpoint variation available at my local gun store including RIP rounds with zero malfunctions.
I purchased a brand new 365 yesterday (1-19-20). Date on box Nov. 5, 2019. Three FTB in 50 rounds. 12 round mag is loose. I can feel it rocking back and forth with my pinky while shooting which is distracting. Not impressed to say the least. I'm going to try again this weekend and see what happens.
Note that both Vuurapen and Armory Craft make aftermarket extended length magazine release buttons which don't require you to change your grip in order to release the magazine. Also, many people replace the stock grip module with the P365XL grip module which also makes magazine swaps easier.
My brand new 2019 P365 trigger feels rough. The primary reason I purchased the P365 is the availability of wind age, and elevation replacement sights. The trigger...well I can take care of that myself. Bought a Dremmel Tool. Still waiting for the polishing compounds and mini- buffing wheels to arrive. One would think that there was some type of quality control at the factory that this gritty trigger was allowed to leave. Of interest, my past cheapy SCCY had a great trigger right out of the box new.
I wanted to address some of the main comments we have received on this video.
Re-griping this pistol:
This was the first time I had fired the pistol and I was just trying to adjust my grip between shots until I found my correct grip with it. You will notice in the close up videos that were shot later in the day I wasn’t doing it anymore because I had found my correct grip for this pistol. Many people will do this with new pistols, you will see people like Tim from the Military Arms channel do it at times with new pistols also. Thanks for watching!
Gun that Matched the watch:
I agree this was a silly comment and should have been edited out. It was a long day of filming really didn’t think it was that big of a deal. It makes more since for me because I primarily open carry. But it was kind of a silly comment.
Yes, that was a silly comment. If you are dressed really “dressy”, you should be carrying a P938 Blackwood or SAS! 😀
I support your right to open carry but think that decision is sillier than the accessory comment. Limits your options in a deadly situation where you may need to choose your reaction and timiing.
You should pin this comment to the top of the column!
Nothing to apologize for man. You do you! Haters gonna hate! Lol. I didn’t see everyone else’s videos. Take care brother.

Thanks Sig!
Every firearm ever made shoots POI, point of impact. Are you saying that the POA, point of aim is the POI? That is what counts.
@@jeffstanley4593Yes Sir, POA .

That’s great man, ya I agree it did have a great little trigger. Thanks for watching!

I have a have shleid 2.0 and its hard to put many 9mm over it I like the p365 but I I dkmt think its better out of the box like the S&W.

Joseph Bukal Where did you purchase it ?
Everyone is a massad ayoob operator on the net.

I hot a bunch of sigs and never had to do that. Sounds like my luck with Ruger.
I have had my P365 since May of 2018 with approximately 600 rounds through it with out a single malfunction. I absolutely love this gun for EDC. Sometimes I just forget that I even have it on me.
Same here. It absolutely disappears. I loved it so much I went and got a second one for my wife.

My 365 was built July 2018 and I have over 2000 rounds through it with zero issues.
That’s great bud, glad to hear it.
Mine is a Oct 2018 model. Light primer strikes was my main problem but discovered clearing the striker of factory grease (leaving it bone dry) fixed the issue per Sig's customer service help.
I just purchased one about two months ago. I've got about 1000 rounds through it, no issues.

I usually carry mid size guns. It can be a hassle in the spring and summer. This the perfect summer carry. I carry it with the 12rd magazine.
Good job on this video. You addressed all of the issues which I've been researching.
I bought mine in March 2019 and put about 400-500 rounds through it with no issues. Shoots great for such a small pistol and boggles my mind how it can fit so many rounds in such a tiny volume!
Whats the recoil like ? does the gun have any weight to it to offset the recoil ? thanks david
No regrets.
Very nice. Where did you get your extended mags from fro the P365?

Mine is running flawless after 1k rounds, you put it on in the morning and forget it’s there
What about now? I am thinking about buying one. I bought one when they came out. Major lemon.
Just bought mine. Fired 100rds. 1 light primer strike.
Love the 365. Bought it new in 2023. Just noticed, after one year, the front sight is dead. Sig stated their sights are warrantied for (5) years. They sent a prepaid label to ship back the slide to replace the front sight. Hopefully the replacement will last longer.

What's up with his grip? After every shot his hand is flailing around...
I noticed the same thing. It is like he re-grips the gun after every shot with his left hand. He did hit all the target though.
Yes very weird
Dag0288 it called milking the grip. Readjusting after every shot. Might be the size of his hands or the placement of his support hand. This usually caused by the pistol grip shifting in the hand. Or placement of support hand is not stable or grip not tight enough. Seeing his grip from the side it’s obvious that his support hand finger resting on the front strap of the trigger guard is the cause.
SeniorTac exactly. He probably doesn't even realize he does it.
That was a quality presentation. Nice, camera work, clearly expressed thoughts, organized.
Thanks, man..
Thanks bud, I appreciate the complement. We work hard to put these together so we love a complements when we get them. Thanks again for watching!
Been carrying mine for over 7 mo. Probably around 500 rounds through it. Not one issue at all. Ran every round i put through it. Maybe Im lucky. But I am very happy with it.
That’s good. Glad it’s running good for you. Thanks for watching.
Cheers from Texas!
rodartrobot - thanks bud! I’m glad you enjoyed the video and happy your Sig is working well for you. Thanks for watching!
1100$ in Costa Rica out of my budget so I went with glock 19c paid 975$ guns are really expensive here nice little gun tho!! sorry for my bad englesh guys
What are Costa Rican gun laws like? Its my fav country I've been too. Hope the surf is good near Tamarindo :)

Funny, a Costa Rican can buy this gun, but a California resident can’t! God my state sucks!
Sig chose to redesign the firing pin and has a new process of making them which made the firing pins tougher and harder to break
Read all about the meaningless primer drag at sig talk
William Briddon - thanks for the great information, I’m sure that will help buyers thinking about getting this pistol. Thanks for watching bud!
1000 rounds..no problems of any kind, carry it everyday! Love this gun!
That’s great man, glad to hear it.
@@sweetcostarica, sure! Thank you! I can't carry in New Jersey. My home defense pistols are my HK VP9 or my P225-A1. I trust both of them!!!
Now you are over here putting out more strange opinions like:
" 1,000 rounds, which rules out all the previous 'problems'"
Bro you do know many problem can & do occur after at 500, 1000, 2000, 3000, etc rounds right.
- With the SIG P365 they had firing pins breaking at around 2,000 rounds, something less. So think bro.
Anyway, I still like you because you're hilarious *bikeracerdude.*
*Stop stalking me though.*
Ya Id like to try the XL also. So far I like the 365 over the G43x. Glade your Sig is doing well! Thanks for watching bud!
I looked at one at a gun shop today and noticed how gigantic it makes my S&W Shield G2 look and it has more ammo capacity. What I’m happy about is that it’s not a DAO it’s more like a Glock trigger something that was keeping me from wanting it. I must have one.
Keith Whisman all striker fired sidearms are “dao”. The p365 has essentially the same trigger mechanism as any Glock.
Damn fine weapon, bought one a couple months ago, 1911 was getting a little heavy for everyday
I am getting primer swipes. Born on 1/25/19 300 rounds so far. No jams/failure to cycle. I love it. First handgun.
Ya that’s is pretty much all we got, glad you pistol is running good for ya, thanks for watching!

My trigger bar spring broke after about 500 rounds and SiG replaced it no questions asked. I had it back in less than two weeks.
Phuc dat. I don't care how fast the turnaround is, what a hassle. Who's to say it won't just break in another 500 rounds again?
The quality of spring appears to be much upgraded but it is always a concern once it has failed.
@@chrisjgilmore1 ok thx. This is the gun that sparked my fervent interest in ccw when it first came out, so I'm really pulling for it and have been holding off for QC.
Well I have Two now so I’m all in.
The springs weren't breaking- the springs were cut short on the end and coming unhooked from bar, causing dead trigger.
I had this gun. It shot great. Just a tad too short for me. Sold it and got the XL version. Very happy now.
When your out for a fancy dinner, you need an expensive gun to go with the expensive watch? WTF? You’re gonna hide the damned thing!

It’s ok with you that you can’t do speed mag reloads because it is your CCW? Excuse me but just when is important for you? When your target shooting?
Great review. I just bought mine and so far really like.
Thanks for the info, I wonder if anyone else had that problem. Glad it’s is still working ok for ya. Thanks for watching.
Great to hear you LOVE IT and it is WORKING GREAT!
I purchased mine around mid June of 2018 and have since put through 1500 rounds of range ammo along with 40ish of Sig V-Crown 124 grain and I've had one failure to extract. The one failure though was with Wolf 115 grain steel cased ammo so take it how you would like.
Sig says to use 124g ammo to prevent it from happening?
What's with your hands while you are shooting? My P365 has given me zero issues so far but a friend of mine got his finger bit. I've run every hollowpoint variation available at my local gun store including RIP rounds with zero malfunctions.
I purchased a brand new 365 yesterday (1-19-20). Date on box Nov. 5, 2019. Three FTB in 50 rounds. 12 round mag is loose. I can feel it rocking back and forth with my pinky while shooting which is distracting. Not impressed to say the least. I'm going to try again this weekend and see what happens.
make sure your base plate on the mag is properly installed
"Little bit more expensive gun to go with an expensive watch" WHAT? Lmao
Stopped watching it after I heard that...
Was thinking same. Credibility out the window after that comment.
Right?! Are you serious dude?! If that is even a passing thought in your head you probably shouldn't be carrying in the first place. Ridiculous.
Yeah what the hell is he talking about?
Don't mind showing of my Brietling at a nice restaurant, but if the general public sees my EDC,I've done something very wrong.
Note that both Vuurapen and Armory Craft make aftermarket extended length magazine release buttons which don't require you to change your grip in order to release the magazine. Also, many people replace the stock grip module with the P365XL grip module which also makes magazine swaps easier.
Great Review Sir! 👍🏾
I’m a GLOCK guy but I’m contemplating getting one of these for off duty carry. Your review is very informative.
I hear ya, I just got a G43x we will be uploading a review for it tomorrow. The 365 was a nice pistol though. Thanks for watching.
