you mostly talk about story or general setting, which does not help at all. You need to talk about the gameplay and mechanics. This video feels ai-generated, I dont think you even played 90% of those games you "recommend"
As of august 2024, I'd add to the list also Brotato, Cult of the Lamb and The Rogue Prince of Persia. Even if the last is still at the beginning of early access, it's already amazing and the roadmap update Evil Empire published this week is very promising 💪
Firstly, thank you for featuring Oblivion Override. It's my favourite roguelite and probably will stay so. Secondly, Blazblue Entropy Effect OTOH has no ties to Blazblue other than the sprites. The characters in the game are sentient robots, not the Blazblue characters, who are merely playable husks. You don't play Mai Natsume, Kokonoe A. Mercury or Ragna the Bloodedge there, you are just playing a lookalike. Even the main hazard of Blazblue, called Seithr, has been replaced with Entropy Particles.
@@Jaleel92 listen i get that you love the game, it is very great. But as a metroidvania addict myself it's a bit tiresome that whenever i discover a cool new metroidvania. That everyone comments on whether or not it's a HK clone/ripoff or whatever. I just want more good metroidvania's so if they're a bit similar what does it matter? But you took my rather blunt remark very well so sorry for calling you elitist. It's just that the fandom isn't making the best impressions lately. I suppose they're all losing their minds waiting for silksong
So so so many better rouguelikes better than HAdes, I genuinely don't know why so many people have praise for that game, it gets boring /repetitive so quick, combat is terrible.
