In the UK we tend to prefer diamond core cutters over the TCT type you use. They don't leave a ragged exit hole which is easier and neater to make good.

I like to see that you use the blue monster and pipe dope. That’s the way I’ve always done it. Also both tape and pipe dope it guarantees no leaks.

Hi Mike, did I miss something? I didn't see you perform the backflow prevention test after the installation. Does it meet or exceed minimal performance requirements?
Yes, I did perform the backflow prevention also known as cross connection control device. Initial test it passed of course does it meet performance expectations of the end-user a.k.a. the client well there was a pressure drop. We’ll talk about that later.

Ok @ 2:00 I was not condemning your exterior plumbing job I was just saying I like to camouflage my exterior piping so it blends in with the house and doesn’t stand out like a sore thumb I like to treat my customers jobs like I would want it on my house . Up here on slabs I have to run a lot exterior . I just like to dress it up gives it a more professional look that’s all I was saying. 🤷🏻♂️

Here? A simple Charlie cheapie backflow preventer is all this required. 😂 our city’s don’t have pressure enough to require a pressure regulator. But that was thinking ahead for future replacements. You’re going to be so happy if for some reason you have to replace it again it will bee easy Peezy! Nice professional install.
