    It looks great, one helpful tip might be that you have to be more cautious when detailing moldy or mildew ridden interiors. I wouldn't use the steamer until AFTER I have used an APC on the mold. When you use the steamer right off the bat you are spreading the spores all over the place and attaching those spores to warm water. The best video I have seen to date on moldy interior is on AMMO NYC's channel where he goes into deep detail about it. I think you guys do fantastic work though and no one can say you don't work hard!

      I think a UV light disinfector would be a great investment he could put it inside before he even touches the car it it would kill all the mold, fungus, and bacteria.

      They used an ozone machine to pump in oxygen that kills the bacteria

    • @Fr8train003
      @Fr8train003 2 года назад

      @@ExxonYT It pumps in ozone (O3). The machine splits oxygen gas (O2) into single atoms of (O). The single atoms of (O) then perform an “oxidation reaction” with oxygen gas in the atmosphere (O2) to form (O3). Hope this helps.

      He might not have mentioned it in this video, but they do use an ozone machine before starting. He showed that in another video. I don't know if that's comparable.

  • @RedDetailAZ
    @RedDetailAZ 2 года назад +48

    alright so here's my thoughts, 1 totally optional but i didnt see you do it in the video which is ozoning the trunk. 2 with that level of bacteria growth every single piece of trim inside the vehicle has to come off and be scrubbed. 3 I would of wore a hazmat suit during the interior process.

    I'm so wary of the fact that you wre unable to remove the carpet. Even though you extracted all the mold and discolouration, the carpet itself likely still holds toxic mold spores which can resurface in the future. When a building has carpet mold, the most thorough practice is to remove the carpet, treat the area with mold killer, and replace the carpet. You guys did a great job with what you were able to do, but I'm concerned that a significant health hazard remains as you were unable to remove/replace the carpet or flush out the internal vents.

    It is impressive! And I'm glad that the owner loves his first car that he ever got for himself. I hope that it is cared for better than before. Certainly, the owner needs to make sure that items get changed - like the carpets - and that he takes the time to get the trim pieces removed and cleaned of mold *behind* the outer surfaces. And that ventilation system should get treated if possible.

    I have a few concerns with the Lexus padding under the carpet. May appear and smell better but the padding they use holds quite a bit of moisture if not removed and dried. Not sure on the staples except where the door trim panels are. Lexus designed this method for better seals and sound deadening purposes. I would also have painted the wheel Wells black, maybe the wiper blades and the undercarriage. I am sure it was discussed. Overall great job. I use compressed a lot when cleaning interiors. Seems so much faster. Thanks for the video.

    This is an incredible transformation, but I’d never feel safe in this car. There’s definitely still mold behind the dash, behind the door panels, and in the vent ducting that couldn’t be reached. Also Likely under the carpet as well. Amazing work though 👌🏼

      There is just as much, if not more, mold under the carpet. Agreed this was a fantastic clean up, but it made zero sense to clean up the carpet instead of just ripping it out clean and installing a new one.

      @@thiswashard855 they said they would of stripped the carpet out and cleaned it completely but when they removed some of the parts inside they found it was stapled down and they didn’t know why so they did what they could

      @@jessica5221 I agree, the team did the best they could. They're cleaners, not interior trim installers. I was referring to the customer who wanted to just wash the interior, instead of properly removing it all, cleaning, and replacing it. This deep clean couldn't have been cheap.

      @@thiswashard855 I get you. The guy did say he was gonna have the carpets replaced when they got his reaction and I’m guessing whatever else might need replacing
