Taurox the Everchosen, wrecker of the Dark Elves. Coincidentally both Oxyotl campaigns I’ve played ended with him dying to an ambush at Naggarond while he sieged it, courtesy of a Silent Sanctum I placed there about 30 turns earlier.
Taurox quickly became one of my favorite Legendary Lords. Absolute terror on the field and his campaign is fun. I happened to come across the sword of khaine with him as well and, my lord is he strong.
What's even scarier is Morghur with the Sword of Khaine. Taurox is tougher, but Morghur with the Sword and a Banner of Madness melts infantry armies single handed with ease.

Fun fact: in his final quest battle he has to fight morghur and beating morghur gives you missile resistance meaning *technically* the final battle actually does help with his fatal lore weakness to missiles
Besides the Brazen Bull of Phalaris, I think Taurox may have also taken inspiration from the Colchis Bulls of Greek mythology, specifically from Jason and the Argonauts. These were two immense bulls with bronze hooves and bronze mouths through which they breathed fire. Jason had to battle the bulls as part of his quest to retrieve the Golden Fleece.
His name prolly comes from the combination of Taurus and Aurochs (not sure if I spelled that right) which were massive bulls of Europe that were hunted to extinction awhile back. The nazis tried to breed them back into existence but did it in a dumb way which wasn’t really accurate but it lead to the Heck’s Cattle

Savage barbaric tribes that attacked without warning and dragged people back as sacrifices to their evil gods and so on n so forth idk how much the romans actually knew of em not a huge historian. But that being said anything from around that area would make sense for Taurox to be based on or around, but i wouldn’t be surprised if they took inspiration from other sources
Taurox is especially crazy once you reach the empire in Mortal Empires, with all its closely packed settlements. I managed to go from a Savage Rampage all the way through to finishing the rampage and then starting a new one in a single turn, before I eventually ran out of things to kill.
If my and my friend did a duo campaign of skarbrand and taurox, and just ran through the entire old world, it'd be hilarious. Legit considered one of us starting near naggarond, the other by kislev, and just seeing who gets to the bottom of their continent first

I’ve never felt so powerful and so ignorant to what’s happening on the campaign map until i played Taurox. You attack anyone you want, you get into as many wars as you want, you don’t need to finish off any enemy. 2 bray shamans, 7 gorebulls with weapon strength bonus for minotaurs that stacks, 10 minotaurs with shields. All heros with the regen item, both bray shamans with an item for winds of magic and free cygor summons. Aoe damage over time banner on 5 of the gorebulls. Sword of khaine on Taurox. I could auto resolve or manually destroy any enemy. One of the best campaigns i’ve ever had

The minotaur wasnt from the torture device, but from the minoans, hence the name minotaur... Meaning minoanbull. The Minoans appear to have worshipped Aurochs, and definitely had a strange ancient form of bullfighting too. They were the dominant force in the med until the proto greeks of mycenia took them over after a volcano buggered their trading hub (Quite possibly the origin of the Atlantean myth too)...
The only group that ALMOST destroyed the army of Taurox in my campaign was Imrick and his group veteran rank 7 dragons and by the time Taurox received enough damage to kill him, Imrick and his dragon were fleeing from the battle due to the fact there was no army from his side left. This was the first campaign that i've completed in my crusade to finish the campaign and killing High Elves because i hate them too much that i swore that i will kill them with every other faction with their own leaders.

I have been playing the game every now and then lately, and have been doing a campaign with this load of bull. I have 4 armies, with a second Legendary Lord, Taurox has the Sword of Khaine, there are only two dark elves factions left alive and Taurox himself is invading the Donut. My elf genocide is nearly complete. And that's what matters.
Got to admit I never been the best man. I managed to complete all achievement and Quest battles with the help of mods before this DLC.And I'm not the best at playing Total War so I get easy battle easy campaign I didn't know he was supposed to restart his movements somehow but I never saw that button and I did his entire campaign without it and win.
I’ve played TW: Empires a little bit… but I never fully committed to a round past 50ish turns. Fast forward to me purchasing TW: Warhammer collection on a steam sale for $50, I just conpleted my first full campaign with The Empire. It was a blast, lots of battles and politics through 300 turns. Enjoyed the play though so much, I decided to buy all the DLC for all the games on sale too (thank you Counter Strike for the god roll Factory New Bayonet Fade, you’ve been funding all my stupid gaming purchases for a lifetime to come). On this second playthrough, I’m using the Beastmen in Warhammer II. Those dicks really gave me troubles my last playthrough, but I’m here for the slaughter now. No politics, just scorched earth. The amount of anabolic jokes in this video caught me off guard and had me cackling
Ah Taurox one of the most fun campaigns in TWW2 and what a return to form for the Beastmen... is what I would say if they had any form to return to other than being shit till this DLC dropped. Anyway while Taurox was killed in the End Times siege of Altdorf by Markus Wulfhart who then kinda walked off and wasn't heard from again, Taurox is actually mentioned in Age of Sigmar kinda of. In that setting the Beastmen, specifically the ones that worship Khorne, believe in the Brass Bull which rampages in the sky. Also random note, Skarsnik is also kind of in AoS as a referenced minor moon that circles around the Bad Moon that the Grots (copyrightable goblins) worship so thats neat.
