I really miss Marty in the band...kinda like Portnoy in Dream Theater! No offense to the other guitarists and Mike M!!! It's just that things could have been super-sonic!!! Dave did not invent _thrash_ ... He does know how to do it. Canadian thrash scene was breaking out even in the late 70's, about the same time Slayer was still jamming out in a garage. I would say Black Sabbath was the biggest motivator, and it really took off in London, first.
