Bryan Kohberger had identified a single target on the night he allegedly murdered four college students in Idaho, a new book has claimed.
Murder suspect Kohberger was fixated on Madison Mogen when he entered the off-campus house in Moscow on November 13, 2022, according to journalist Howard Blum.
The 29-year-old criminology PhD student is currently awaiting trial for the murders of Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin, who were all found stabbed to death.
Officials believe Kohberger was after Mogen because he passed the rooms of two surviving roommates before starting the killing spree, Blum told ABC News.
“If he was just on a killing spree, it would have been natural, instinctive, to go to one of those doors,” he said. “Instead he goes up this narrow staircase and he turns directly into Maddie’s room, and I think Maddie was his target.” (Yahoo News)

Howard Blum did not speak to the Kohberger family. He did not speak to the victim’s families. Many involved with the case are under a court order to not discuss the case. So who are his sources?

The vast majority of people who are subscribers to true crime channels are without knowledge and insight when it comes to criminal behavior, crime scene investigation or forensics.
Most of what’s contributed is nothing more than emotion or the parting of something someone else has contributed.
Sorry to burst anyone’s bubble here. but that statement is an accurate one or I’d not have stated it.
    Point being..
To a versed investigator or someone involved in criminal investigative analysis, who’s had first hand exposure and experience in such things..
They recognize and understand the situation better than most.
And this also applies to someone who’s experienced this on an intimate level..
Yes, others who’ve committed such crimes.
It’s simply amazing that people continually debate the possibilities.
That they create such nonsensical scenarios and theories based on nothing but imagination.
I don’t see the continued discussion as to who or what is responsible for committing the Idaho 4 homicides.
It’s obvious where this one leads.
I certainly hope Koghberger’s trial date is not forever prolonged.
His aspirations of being the know-it-all professor will never come to fruition.
He made too many mistakes that led law enforcement to him rather quickly.
His story will eventually be told.
But it will never shut up the mass of know it alls we’ve had to listen to since day one.
They’ll simply find another case to inject themselves in.
