- WHAT TIME IS IT? Time to review every episode of Adventure Time season 2! I discuss and rate all 26 episodes in the second season of the hit show, as well as give my opinion on recurring themes and much more! I've talked quite a bit about the show in the past, but now, I'm giving it a closer look, and finding some of my opinions have changed. So come along with me as I investigate the big questions surrounding the success and quality of the show.

This series is really reminding me of how much I love Adventure Time. Haven't watched the older episodes in years, and this is quite nostalgic for me.
I'm the other way around, I only really watched the first few seasons so going forth most episodes will be brand new for me
I miss this channel
The Eyes has my favorite line in any Adventure Time episode, that being "The horse is tearing us apart again!". The line delivery is so funny
As for the question of why PB's bathtub is bird themed... well, we see her riding on a swan in "Dungeon," and she has her Morrow in "Death in Bloom," so she's been shown to have at least _some_ interest and relationship with birds.

Good video! Always love these! I like how you pointed out how a lot of stories in this season are kinda more "traditional" stories, just with an AT twist. Never thought too much about that, but you're right! Though, if I may add, this is possibly the raunchiest season of the series. 🤣 I believe this season has the distinction of being the only season in the show (and possibly all of Cartoon Network) to have multiple characters in multiple episodes utter some variation of the word "pervert", to say nothing of the liberal usage of the term "sexy", explicit references to "grinding", the way Hunson AND the pods are drawn, and a slew of other things. Some stuff I didn't even get at first. For example, I only JUST got Ice King's "holes are holes" joke this year. 🤣
Been a longtime watcher of this channel since the original rants years ago. Just wanted to thank you for still making content, cheers

Genuinely surprised thst you gave Video Makers a badventure time, I always thought it was good. Although I think its just the nostalgia of watching the episode for the first time as a kid. Something about most of the characters just chilling in the treehouse at the beginning is very comforting to me.

I'm so pleased PieGuy's back to doing this! I legitimately thought he gave up on Every Episode of Adventure Time! I really hope he'll get through to doing season 3 one day (but obviously no pressure or anything I can wait etc just want to show support)

For some reason, this season feels more nostalgic than season 1 does. It could be due to the fact that I became more familiar with Adventure Time by the time this came out.
This was the first show I watched where I got REALLY sucked into a season finale. Looking back, with how much I distanced myself from the show after the first few years, part of me wishes it ended here, despite loving seasons 3 and 4.
I used to hate the later seasons too, but recently I started thinking of them as just part of the wider narrative of the overall show.
Just like how the Harry Potter films get darker and moodier as they go on, reflecting how Harry loses his innocence throughout the films and eventually it cumulates in one big war, I think Adventure Time has a similar thing going on. A coming of age story that loses direction at the time where Finn loses his direction in life, and gets darker in the darker times in Finn's life.
There's a RUclips video called "Why I love Adventure Time - emotional maturity" that explains it better than I ever could, but it's worth a watch! Also, after Adventure Time Pendleton Ward got a Netflix show called The Midnight Gospel and it's just the weirder episodes of Adventure Time turned up to 11. Super artsy, super depressing, nothing really going on.
3 months later since I visited his channel and he's still gone, I'm growing a bit concerned now, hope your doing good PieGuyRulz!

Season 1 Adventure Time was decent, but Season 2 Adventure Time was when the show started to truly be good.

PieGuy, I appreciate these vids. Although I haven't really watched your Emmy videos or your podcasts, you have always been one of my favorite youtubers. Watching these vids transports me back to my high school years in a way. It sounds weird, but I'm kind of glad your channel never got real huge. Makes it more comfy, I think.

Im so glad you chose to revive this series, I recently started an adventure time rewatch with your S1 video, and I abandoned it, but now I plan to revive it.
I definitely disagree with a couple of your opinions, namely on Death in Bloom which is one of my favorite episodes. However, your ideas were, as usual, well presented and agreeable.

I appreciate the production of this video. The fact that every episode you review has a little snowflake to compliment the Ice King theme.
In addition to that the words in the snowflake reflect the episode quite well with how the words are laid out.

its been like 6 years since I last watched adventure time lol
The seasons progress kind of like Harry Potter.
Season one and the Philosopher’s Stone is almost exclusively magical and wistful. A big focus on who’s good and bad. One fight and the threats gone.
Number 2 and Chamber of Secrets is a bit darker and explores darker elements without knowing it. In AT, it’s the Lich, and in HP2 it’s horcruxes.
In Azkaban and Season 3 alike, they revisit lots of previous concepts, in adventure time, the Zombie Episode, Susan Strong and the idea of Finns heroism are brought back, and in HP it’s Harry’s parents, Ron and Hermiones antagonistic relationship. Voldemort and the Lich take a backseat.
Season 4/5 and Goblet of Fire really feel similar. It starts off kinda light hearted but in a more adult light, enjoying old characters and concepts (Quidditch, The Burrow in HP, Hudson Abadeer and NEPTR in AT,) but both take very dark turns near the end. In AT it’s the revelation that Billy is dead and Finns dad is alive, with the more present threat of the Lich, which till now was a slightly scarier villain. Similarly in HP, a role model for Harry (Cedric) dies and he realizes Voldemort is a more present threat.
Rip pieguy channel
1. I can forgive Crystals Have Power for its writing for its comedy.
2. Heat Signature is the first episode of the show that I actively disliked. Some episodes before may have been mediocre or boring, but I full on hate this one.
3. Since you have seen distant lands, I’m surprised you didn’t mention how Peppermint Butler ended up with Finn and Jakes bones like he said would in Death in Bloom.

Its worth noting Heat Signature was probably supposed to come before Video Makers considering the episode they're watching at the beginning of Video Makers is "Heat Signature 3" implying they've already shown the first one
I started this video last year and it took me till this year to finish it
You know I think it would be a cool idea if; when your finished with the series and if you still have the energy; to go back and compile all of the top and bottom five episodes from each season, put them in a big list, pick from it, and try to figure out what your all time best and worst 5 episodes from the entire series are. It would also show if the earlier seasons best episodes still hold up against the later seasons best episodes.

Hey, PieGuyRulz. Whenever you get this, I would like to say that I’m glad you finished off reviewing the bad Seddie arc. During the beginning, you said that this arc was when the Schneider’s Bakery shows started to get bad. So, in your eyes, before the Seddie arc, early Schneider’s Bakery are the following shows/seasons:
1. All That
2. Drake & Josh
3. Zoey 101
4. iCarly (original; seasons 1-4; 1st episode of Seddie arc is the 2nd to last season 4 episode, the final season 4 episode is the crossover with Victorious; the rest of the Seddie arc is in season 5)
5. Victorious (season 1; all of the 1st season aired before the Seddie arc)
What did you overall think of Early Schneider’s Bakery? I know a little bit about why you love it, as before the Seddie arc, the shows were all fine, having the early Bakery's charm and really memorable stories. Yes, there have been a few bottom of the bakeries from early iCarly (iMeet Fred, iDate a Bad Boy and iOMG), but there have been much more Bizarro Bakeries too, which includes a few from early iCarly. Just wanted to know how you like the early Bakery's shows/seasons.
