Chicken necks and hand lines is what we used when I was a youngster in Toms River NJ, we’d catch a garbage can full and then have a crab boil miss those days. If we have a big fish on we'll say he's a big one, the same with a crab when we pull a big crab in we'll automatically say he's a big crab using the word generically We never had a problem with any crab getting offended lol.
