Clip on bow tie, velvet slippers in the rain, 1.5” notched lapels..??? And the cream bow tie!?? He looks like the entertainment at a 4 year old’s birthday
Well I won’t be calling on Mr Porter for any styling tips. It may be called a tuxedo elsewhere in the world but it’s a dinner jacket in the U.K. and it’s NOT worn to a wedding. The jacket on the first choice (Dolce and Gabana) was too short; he looked like Norman Wisdom. No 2 looked like a kids entertainer with that cream tie (does it rotate?). Truly shocking advice.
Mr porter , can you make a video go to school styling clinic ....pleaseeeeee
Wear a velvet jacket on a rainy day?!?! Wtf??
everytime i watch Mr.Porter video, i always like the background song of their videos but i don't have any clue whose song are they played.. can you suggest me song like this ? for study and working purpose..
"My fiancé..... And I"
Tomat
Lol! To emphasize that he didn’t pick it 🤣
The Shirt of Option 1 should have shirt studs or a piece of fabric covering the buttons, Options 2 and 3 are not black tie, maybe Black tie optional, but the optional is for the Guests, not the Groom
Poor guy is gonna he the worst dressed man at his own wedding.
Option 3 is something i'd definitly wear, the second one is not what i would wear to my wedding. Thanks for answering me MR PORTER.
Like c'mon... what about a proper black tie?! You know studs, backless waistcoats and BLACK, silk, SELF-tie bowtie? If he want's a twist he can opt in for a different colour commurbund or a maroon bowtie or as suggested a COMPLETE velvet suit with different piping.
Love option 1, can't beat that James Bond look =)
you should NEVER wear derby's with a tux. patent leather derby's are for military dress uniforms and thats it. you should either be in Balmoral's or patent pumps
Option 1 is the most contemporary for a wedding without being informal, but Option 3 is the best in my opinion
Notched lapels and belts? Really?
3 is a winner !
Who the hell wears a dinner suit to a wedding?
These suggestions are horrible.
Can't go wrong with option 1 but instead of darbies go with Oxford or Wholecut Oxford. Don't be 90% man. Option 3 has too skinny of lapels. Way too skinny. Otherwise, looks fine for a black tie optional wedding. That dark blue makes it more interesting.
Tom Ford velvet evening jacket in a jewel tone. You’re welcome. Make their wedding about you.
Option 2 looks great but i don't know about for a wedding.
Oopsie, there go my panties.
Option 1.
Yes I am not saying that is does not look good, as it does look fine but, in a black tie setting, which they are aiming for, it is not appropriate to wear a watch at all. This is do to the fact that timekeeping is not a priority in a black tie setting so a visible watch should never show. Just my opinion on black tie etiquette.
I like option 1 & 2 however none of them is ok for a wedding. Morning dress for daytime weddings and white tie for evening weddings, that's the proper dress code for a cerimony.
2:32 ARGH that grip makes me cringe
Option number 3 looks absolutely dashing.
As a groom, Italian Elegance is a no brainer. As a guest to a summer wedding, I would choose Contemporary Cool. Midnight Cowboy would be my choice for spring, autumn, and winter weddings.
Love the scooter prop ! Cheers
Nice last outfit, loved it
in option 3 the neck tie can be dark blue too instead of the black one
You deserve more views and more followers ;good job
Please make a school and house TEEN style clinic
so classy! I love!
That second look with the velvet is so elegant. Totally copying it when I get married
Black tie is wrong for a wedding. And certainly not a skinny fit one!
what kind of sult will in wear for Christmas
They all look very sharp but, there is one big mistake in the first ensemble. That mistake is that you had a watch with the suit, where in a black tie setting it is not appropriate to sport a timepiece.
oldtimetricks you can if its a thin evening watch with a dark strap and dial but you should never glance at your watch in company as it shows you have better things to do.
I hate black tie weddings, A dinner jacket is for dinner! DUH!
Now i am going to every wedding i know, invited or not.
Love option 3 aswell, but overall for a black tie I'd go for the first
Patent leather derbys aren't just for military uniforms.! Lol that was funny to read though...
I love this videos
I am agree italian designe
Option 1 because i'm Italian...:)
3 is the best..for sure.!!!
I like option 3
I WOULD PICK NR 1
I love the velvet jacket from option 2.
Bravo! Bravo!
Me encanta!!!!!
