It's been a good year even though my girlfriend broke up with me and my childhood friend died because of COVID but I'm glad i found out about hololive and fell into the rabbit hole it made me happy
I've always thought of half 2018 - half 2019 as the best year of my life. I got into college, I had my first serious relationship, my first job (though I hated it) I was in the top of the world. Of course things came to an end and the only thing in my life worth keep doing is college. When 2020 arrived so did social distance and online classes and I admit it, although I have my family with me it's been tough. Can't go anywhere, can't do anything unless it's via zoom, but at the same time this year has been a bless in disguise. Without the lockdown I think I would have never gotten into Hololive. They been around for two or three years now and I've been a fan for just a couple of months. So yeah, I'd like to thank the translators and clippers who provide us with so much content. The heroes of this community. And I would like to thank the Trash Taste podcast bois for introducing me to the world of vtubers. 2020 is such a weird year for me It started pretty rough, from getting kicked out from my univ, this c word bullcrap, and some smaller fk ups that screwed me over and over, but then since i discover hololive, slowly i started to develop something that i never really felt on my entire live, and it is motivation and desire to actually become productive and getting new skills (actually starting to learn video editing, writing, and playing instrument) I have no idea why these vtuber girls is the one that spark the flame inside me, but i'm glad that happened to me
or a universe where there there is no Kiara at all, cause the design of the characters sometime based on the person themselves, they talked with artists and they come up with a look together ... so yeah ... we might not even have Kiara at all

I relate so much to this story. My life was completely changed for the better because of the fighting game/smash community where I met so many new people and getting to do so many things. I hope everyone finds that one niche or at least has that “best worst” timing. :)

I have very mixed feelings for 2020. In one hand, due to COVID-19 I lost my job in June, it's the best job I've ever had and I loved it. On the other hand, having more free time I adopted a dog, she's the goodest of girls! Also I've been able to have a much healthier lifestyle doing exercise everyday and eating better. And I'm going to spend christmas with my family for the first time in 3 years. And of course, I fell in the Hololive rabbit hole, so I guess this wasn't that bad of a year at all.

If it wasn’t for 2020, I wouldn’t be the positive, energetic person i’am today. So many blessings happened this year in our lives but a lot of us only focus on the bad. It’s through struggle that we become our best versions and secure our best lives.
2020 is the worst year ever and telling my future children about 2020 would feel heartbreaking to talk about because of the people I lost. So Imagine their look on the faces when I explain to what kept me going. Before 2020 I had odd belief that Kizuna and friends are the four horsemen, miku and friends are gods. And now hololive is full of saints. These wholesome moments that each girl has spread among the views has been very sweet and nijisanji are also saints as well. When 2020 hit, I had this feeling that these girls were going to play a bigger role in my life and so far I’m still here, making sure I’m being safe, wearing the mask and washing my hands. And it was all thanks to them. Just like the Catholic Church where they have a lot saints; I hope we get more saints in the future. I know we lost a few but as long they are remembered their legacy lives on. Let’s continue to support these girls and continue to support each other.
I graduated and got a ba had a job lined up when I graduated. I had plans to go out do more and devote myself to finally actually starting my life but unfortunately c19 happened. I wanted to go and travel more, wanted to actually start to date, and break out of this sort of shell that I put up when I was focusing on school. But now my job fell through, stuck at home, distant and some close family are dropping, and I still work a pretty crappy customer service retail job where I have to lie through my teeth about being ok about them not wearing a mask because I like having money. Yeah 2020 really sucks so far and honestly I have no idea how I'm keeping it all together. But knowing that someone like kiara is experiencing seeing similar to me is very comforting and lifts my spirits even if it's just a little.
It makes you think that we have to thank CovID. Had the "C" thing not happen... Kiara wouldn't have stayed and become the idol she is now. Her original plans may have been squashed, but... now she has HoloLive. A blessing in disguise.

2020 overall was horrible but there are things we were blessed with and the current situation magnified their value. This was the one for Kiara and Kiara and the rest of Hololive was the blessing for us who fell into the rabbit hole during the tough time.
So she is probably on the working holiday visa. That visa lets you do whatever in japan (with some rare exceptions) during a entire year, like working in whatever sector you want, durint any duration, etc. The thing is that like kiara says, its only one year and then you need to leave japan, you cant renove it, its only one time per person. What someone can do before the one year is over is get a japanese company to want to recruit you permanently , go back to your original country (since if I remember corectly, supposedly you can't search for permament job while on working holiday visa, so you must go back fisrt to your country), and then get a new visa with that company (only in case you have enought education background that inmigration whould aprove it) I guess if she wanted to go back to japan and she has enought education background, she could get a more typical working visa if covers would manage it, since there already a few westers youtubers working in japan as youtubers so it seems like imigration would aprove it
There were many bad things that happen this year but there were also good things that happened as well. Kiara and the rest of HoloLive EN are one of those good things. Remember, there is always a sliver lining in everything.

I graduated uni online, and the online format was slightly better for me, which pushed my final grade up a boundary. I'm currently doing an extracurricular year with a smallish local charity, which means they're incredibly flexible and I still have loads to do
I know most people got into hololive during this year, especially how I feel like most people were online often due to the C-word. Personally I got into this massive rabbit hole around november last year and goddamn it had helped me for a year that I didn't think it would get this bad. I am forever thankful to them for their silliness for these really bad times.

Just did some digging and she is probably now eligible for 3month,, 6 months or 1 year work visa, registered as an entertainer. Which is just fine for her, because she mentioned that she does not intend to live in japan long term. That she was always meant to stay in Austria but visit Japan when she wants to.
I can kind of empathize with Kiara in this. I also moved to Tokyo in January 2020 with lots of expectations, and it just went everything to hell. Lots of people in the same situation. But that's never the end of the story, you just need to keep fighting and eventually everything will sort itself. Right now I'm chaging my visa to work visa for a top level company, and that would have never happend if Covid didn't broke loose. Also, for anyone wondering, it sounds like Kiara came with a Working Holiday visa, they give you like a one year free visa, but only once in your life. She's also transfering to working visa now like me. But I thought she was already living here and she was half Japanese.
i think hololive can very easily get her a working visa considering she literally works for a japanese company, but i heard japanese beuracracy is slow as shit so it might be problematic in that regard especially with covid

Much respect to Kiara. She didn't have to go into that much detail for us but she did. 2020 has been a hell of a year but Hololive has become the shining light for a lot of people myself included.
If it wasn’t for 2020, I wouldn’t be the positive, energetic person i’am today. So many blessings happened this year in our lives but a lot of us only focus on the bad. It’s through struggle that we become our best versions and secure our best lives.

2020 is the worst year ever and telling my future children about 2020 would feel heartbreaking to talk about because of the people I lost.
So Imagine their look on the faces when I explain to what kept me going. Before 2020 I had odd belief that Kizuna and friends are the four horsemen, miku and friends are gods. And now hololive is full of saints. These wholesome moments that each girl has spread among the views has been very sweet and nijisanji are also saints as well. When 2020 hit, I had this feeling that these girls were going to play a bigger role in my life and so far I’m still here, making sure I’m being safe, wearing the mask and washing my hands. And it was all thanks to them. Just like the Catholic Church where they have a lot saints; I hope we get more saints in the future. I know we lost a few but as long they are remembered their legacy lives on. Let’s continue to support these girls and continue to support each other.

I graduated and got a ba had a job lined up when I graduated. I had plans to go out do more and devote myself to finally actually starting my life but unfortunately c19 happened. I wanted to go and travel more, wanted to actually start to date, and break out of this sort of shell that I put up when I was focusing on school. But now my job fell through, stuck at home, distant and some close family are dropping, and I still work a pretty crappy customer service retail job where I have to lie through my teeth about being ok about them not wearing a mask because I like having money. Yeah 2020 really sucks so far and honestly I have no idea how I'm keeping it all together. But knowing that someone like kiara is experiencing seeing similar to me is very comforting and lifts my spirits even if it's just a little.
It makes you think that we have to thank CovID.
Had the "C" thing not happen... Kiara wouldn't have stayed and become the idol she is now.
Her original plans may have been squashed, but... now she has HoloLive. A blessing in disguise.

However, she found another fulfilling endeavour as the ruckus raged on around her, and that saved her from losing all positivity she had towards her in light of the 'C' situation.

A lot of fans cite the olympics as being truth cause of this but i legit cant tell if she was seriously a part of it or not.or just in japan to support her country in person. ofcourse if she was an athlete she'be smart to play dumb and keep it hush cause thats a good way to expose identity.. so its hard to say.

2020 overall was horrible but there are things we were blessed with and the current situation magnified their value. This was the one for Kiara and Kiara and the rest of Hololive was the blessing for us who fell into the rabbit hole during the tough time.

I think discovering Hololive along with EN's debut has been the 2020 redemption arc for a lot of people.
So she is probably on the working holiday visa. That visa lets you do whatever in japan (with some rare exceptions) during a entire year, like working in whatever sector you want, durint any duration, etc. The thing is that like kiara says, its only one year and then you need to leave japan, you cant renove it, its only one time per person. What someone can do before the one year is over is get a japanese company to want to recruit you permanently , go back to your original country (since if I remember corectly, supposedly you can't search for permament job while on working holiday visa, so you must go back fisrt to your country), and then get a new visa with that company (only in case you have enought education background that inmigration whould aprove it)
I guess if she wanted to go back to japan and she has enought education background, she could get a more typical working visa if covers would manage it, since there already a few westers youtubers working in japan as youtubers so it seems like imigration would aprove it

For me, I dodged a massive bullet this year. I graduated uni online, and the online format was slightly better for me, which pushed my final grade up a boundary. I'm currently doing an extracurricular year with a smallish local charity, which means they're incredibly flexible and I still have loads to do
I know most people got into hololive during this year, especially how I feel like most people were online often due to the C-word. Personally I got into this massive rabbit hole around november last year and goddamn it had helped me for a year that I didn't think it would get this bad.
I am forever thankful to them for their silliness for these really bad times.
A lot of people where extremely upset about the Olympics of 2020 I actually didn't know Kiara was actually competing well hopefully will see her in 2021 hopefully Hatsune Miku will still be at the opening ceremony

Just did some digging and she is probably now eligible for 3month,, 6 months or 1 year work visa, registered as an entertainer. Which is just fine for her, because she mentioned that she does not intend to live in japan long term. That she was always meant to stay in Austria but visit Japan when she wants to.

I can kind of empathize with Kiara in this. I also moved to Tokyo in January 2020 with lots of expectations, and it just went everything to hell. Lots of people in the same situation. But that's never the end of the story, you just need to keep fighting and eventually everything will sort itself. Right now I'm chaging my visa to work visa for a top level company, and that would have never happend if Covid didn't broke loose.
Also, for anyone wondering, it sounds like Kiara came with a Working Holiday visa, they give you like a one year free visa, but only once in your life. She's also transfering to working visa now like me. But I thought she was already living here and she was half Japanese.
i think hololive can very easily get her a working visa considering she literally works for a japanese company, but i heard japanese beuracracy is slow as shit so it might be problematic in that regard especially with covid

And yeah Hololive probably has someone in human resources what can get all the paperwork and proof for them to get it. Ever since this CV (this is just a short abbreviated form of that-thing-that's-happening-world-wide-that-shall-not-be-named-for-good-reasons) is out and about and non of us can be bothered to go outside and we're just stuck here with the internet and our thoughts. However, ever since dropping into the V-Tuber Rabbit Hole 2020's a bit more enjoyable and less depressing.
