I love the MicroKorg, I really do, but I think its a mistake to label this thing as a good synth for starters. Starters have no idea what certain terms mean. "Cutoff"? If you dont know, you really dont know.
The time I played with this was fun, but I didnt know anything about what anything meant, and the few knobs to navigate all these unknown parameters... Enough said.
The Microkorg is AWESOME, but the UI is not friendly to beginners.

​​@@lmk19848 I wouldnt say its basic, it is quite extensive. Its great for beginners as far as features go, but actually tweaking it is not user friendly. Only untill you understand what things mean will you be able to properly tweak this synth.
Knob per function would be more user friendly for beginners. Get a Minilogue XD instead.
Microkorg could need an upgrade with more knobs.

This thing is the most complicated and confusing instrument I own. All I can do is turn it on and tweak the presets a little bit. I don’t see the hype in this instrument at all. Haven’t seen it do much of anything impressive. I regret buying it whole heartedly…🤷🏻‍♂️
