- Elden Ring DLC Lore is as fascinating as Elden ring dlc gameplay or elden ring bosses , and I have a theory on the elden ring lore and it is a first on RUclips gaming where will answer all the questions left behind in elden ring , questions like Who is Messmer ? Why is Miquella going to the Land of the Shadow , Who did Marika betray and also discuss the ending of elden ring shadow of the erdtree
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is the most anticipated Game of 2024 and it will be releasing on playstation , PC and Xbox on 21st June 2024 and bring a closure to the entire elden ring saga . In this Video we are going to try and answer some of the most important questions left behind in the elden ring shadow of the erdtree trailer and in my lore theory we try to uncover the entire elden ring story in a way never Done before If this theory is correct , Miyazaki and Fromsoft has pulled off the most amazing in game story and show us , how it all makes sense now .

Mesmer having red hair kind of reminds me of radagon (marika's secret identity). not sure if it relates to your theory though (godwyn having the golden hair of marika's side and mesmer having the red hair of radagon's side).
Yeah I agree that’s the one thing I keep thinking as well , Messmer has a lot of resemblance with Radagon . But my only thing is , that would be too obvious and Miyazaki loves to keep it vague
it is not light give birth to shadow，but “contrast” give birth to both light and shadow at same time.
i think this is the case of the origin of the story.
marika was in this “shadow realm” all of her life，but without contrast she didn't know what shadow is or what light is，
then the Gold seduced her，promising to show her the world outside of the “shadow realm” and make her a god.
when marika finally saw the world outside of the “shadow realm” for the first time，she now realize that the place where she was living in should be called “shadow”.
when she knows the contrast the gold and the shadow were born at the same time
That’s an interesting thought , makes a lot of sense . But what I keep thinking is , why call it land of the shadow , I mean whose shadow ? That name is a very interesting choice of words for Miyazaki to keep , unless there is a hidden meaning which the game will reveal
@@solverses the difference of the colors of the sky as you mentioned in the video，i think that is because this shadow realm itself is some kind of dome，which is created by the shadow tree（which must have a different name in the past）.
so “shadow” is referring to the dome maybe？
living in a dome is technically living in the shadow
@xx-fw1ej it’s an interesting theory , it could mean u r living under the shadow of the old tree . But even then what is the inner meaning behind that ? Why r they leaving in the shadow of the old tree ? The name of the place is the most intriguing part about the dlc for me
@@solverses i think “shadow” has lost it‘s literal meaning in this game，in the game we say “maliketh is marika’s shadow”，what does it mean？ can we use another word to describe their relationship？
in my opinion we can roughly rephrase it as“maliketh is marika‘ servant”，i know “servant” may not be that accurate，but it dose make sense if you think about their relationship.
so “shadow” in this game has the meaning of “inferior”，and the title “shadow of the eldtree” describes the hierarchical relationship between eldtree and shadow tree.
marika uses maliketh to hide the death rune，she also uses the shadow realm to hide the origin of the eldtree，considering this they do have the similar function，maybe this is the reason why this place is called shadow.
@xx-fw1ej That’s a good point . It’s just 9 days to go , there will be so much lore to cover and revisit this video and see what clicked and what didn’t . But I really feel all the unanswered questions of Elden ring will be answered here and what I’m most curious about is Godwyn
Miyazaki always leaves stuff out for interpretation. doesnt even know himself whats up. jjrm might filled all the holes. he also might not have.
I would be very surprised if he didn’t know , but yeah surely likes to keep us guessing 😅
I think there will be another DLC. Fromsoftware isn't exactly denying it but they are exactly affirming it either. I think the lands between are lands between light and shadow. I think we will get another dlc that is the land of light
That's a good point, it's strange that a game of this magnitude in scale and success is just left alone after just 1 DLC , while dark souls got multiple dlc . My only doubt is , these dlc takes a year to make and maybe they wanna move on to Dark Souls 4 or Sekiro 2 or Bloodborne 2 .
@solverses probably take another 3 years to make the next dlc. They have multiple teams doing multiple things so I imagine 2 full games will release by the time we get that next DLC
