my primary tip still stands. Go into settings -> controls, go through each button one by one and try to figure what each one does. you'll learn multiple things this way. 10:28 if you open the chest, you can click on Rename on the bottom right of the chest storage squares and doing that will make the name appear when you hover your mouse over the chest. no need for signs to label chests. Simple tip for moving items between your inventory and chests: shift click an item to put it in the chest or back. When you find a chest like underground and want to take all the items out of it, there is a loot all button on the right.
I definitely love episodes like this. It’s so rare to see blind terraria play-throughs hearing you come up with different ideas on how things works is awesome and such a fresh experience in content nowadays. Honestly I loved seeing you troubleshoot how the hell you place a door down lol genuine content is how RUclips should be and I always feel like you put all your heart into your content even if it’s not something your really enjoying. Excited to see this series grow and see how well you learn terraria in future episode!!!
The loom realization might single-handedly be a reason to watch this series to the end. These moments are few and far between in Terraria letsplays The ore progression follows the real world in terms of coolness! Copper < Iron < Silver < Gold/Platinum (idk which one you have). And then it all goes to heck Also, an obscure kink of terraria mechanics about the previous episode: hammers and explosives can only break natural walls (walls generated with the world) if they aren't completely surrounded with other natural walls. And when you see background move slightly as you do with some sort of parallax effect, it means there isn't a wall there, it's just background! (and you can't put torches there) Also, yes, hammers can change shape of blocks and platforms Also, more homes and a new weapon would help you and answer some of your question, I feel like
The emeralds are one of the 7 gemstones in the game always hold onto them. First thing I’d recommend doing is saving up 15 of any 1 kind. With 15 you can create an upgraded version of the grappling hook at the anvil, you will not need the original grappling hook. all you will need is 15 gemstones. The gemstone grapples have a longer range. There’s a specific slot for you to equip grappling hooks and they’re a vital part of exploration through all stages of the game. Gemstones are also used a lot in the magic class which is my personal favourite as in my opinion it provided the most fun playthrough
I recommend crafting a bunch of platforms and just trying to get to the edges of your world just running from enemies there's lots of really good surface loot in chests
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a let’s play on terraria, so this is a huge amount of nostalgia for me and potentially a lot of others, thank you for making these videos! Terraria is one of those games where you’ll want to keep the wiki open in a different tab, but since you’re playing blind we’ll try to tell you only the essentials. First off, you need much better gear. At this stage in the game, you’ll pretty much find all of the resources you need in order to progress underground, weather it’s in the form of metal ores (preferably silver or tungsten, gold or platinum) for armor & weapons, or as accessories you find in golden chests, or as a crystal heart to increase your max health. After that you’re gonna want to build houses, a lot of them. You’ve already met your guide, Brandon , but there are several other npcs for you to find, all who need housing. I believe you already know this, but as a refresh all houses require a closed box with an entrance, a chair & table, a back wall, and a light source (usually torches). In order to see who lives where, click the house icon above your armor and accessory slots. Finally, or anytime you feel prepared, really, you should be able to take on the boss. I’m not gonna tell you what the first one is, or how to get to it if you fail on your first attempt. Good luck and have fun! P.S, regular rope can be placed on itself when there are open tiles beneath it to create a descending line. Also it’s a good idea to litter your caves with platforms for easy traversal.
I won’t bore you listing every pickaxe because there’s over 30 but the best way to know the tier list is in the description of the pickaxes as you craft them, they will display a set pickaxe power which determines how well it can mine. Some materials require a set pickaxe power to be able to mine, but note that the pickaxe power goes all the way up to 210% so if you can craft a pickaxe with a higher pickaxe power than your current one you probably should. This power rule also applies to axes and hammers
Gold and Platinum are the highest tier metals before you kill the corruption's boss and there are several gem types that can be made into magic weapons and armor as well as grappling hooks where topaz is the lowest tier and diamond is the highest also you can press LEFT CONTROL to enable/disable "auto cursor" which helps you place walls, torches and mine blocks it's a very useful game feature that smoothes out the experience, I recommend you use it
honestly episodes like these are so relaxing and fun to watch, no rush, you are taking your time figuring things out and i think that is the true experience, keep up the good work
Place chests under the floor, this way you can access them while also having access to crafting stations Copper ore is beyond worthless unless you like copper bricks focus on exploring the surface for loots and weapons
I love episodes like this, you never really know what new thing you may come across with this game, so at a minimum you should definitely record all playtime, and then maybe cut out massive grinds, like item farming if its taking a long time
Hold shift to hold out a light source, this will automatically pick the most fitting light source to hold in the moment and doesn't require the light to be in your hotbar. Press H to use healing items, J to use mana items and B to use buffs like potions and food. For the love of God please press Ctrl for smart cursor, it works for wall placement, torch placement, mining, and much much more.
The ore tier list from worst to best goes: (The / symbol means it's the same tier, you can get either one in a world, there can be little differences between the two) Tin/copper, lead/iron, silver/tungsten, gold/platinum, meteorite, demonite/crimtane, hellstone, palladium/cobalt, mithril/orichalcum, titanium/adamantium, chlorophyte and finally the best one, luminite
This is a really cool way to see the game, Ive been playing for like 2 years and It's really cool do do reminisce about how the game felt when I started playing. Bless the algorithm and keep doing ya thing, it do be cool
if you find a desert cactus armor is some of the best starting, (you can hold shift and hover over it to tell which thing you need to break the cactus)
i would suggest placing the cam where the map is so we can see your full armore. also clicking the hammer at the crafting menu shows you all the stuff at once so you wont have to scroll. and i like episodes like this where you figure stuff out, it what makes this different from all the other terraria lets plays if seen
If you put shift and hover over something like blocks or a tree it'll use the correct tool automatically (it will not automatically select a hammer for back walls it will instead try to place torches) it's previously stated hammers for destroying back walls you can also use hammers on normal blocks to change what they look like you can even Hammer platform to turn them into stairs (pls fix the house)
Press Ctrl to change to smart cursor which auto selects blocks closest to you for torches, walls, mining, axes, and other things that are important, also THE GUIDE TELLS YOU HOW TO MAKE STUFF, but you can also use the wiki, tables, chairs, and torches, and walls make a room for npc's to move into, use your scroll wheel to move around your hotbar and for thing in your inventory use ESC to open and move around/use that item, when in the inventory you can Ctrl click things to favorite things to the inventory, this just means they won't be moved or trashed if you auto chest items or sort your inventory, and the little hammer let's you open a bigger crafting menu so you don't have to sift through the long list of craftable items, and the name of the game is EXPLORE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, in the SKY and definitely in the ground as deep as you can go, you can find gold chests in the underground, but your first priority is to get a good weapon but making it or finding it in any of the different biomes, explore every biome from surface to the caverns, it will have good loot and some new surprise's, the frost biome is the easiest from the start other than the caverns, the desert and jungle and corruption are the hardest, I'd say go to the corruption last
YOU DID IT IM SO PROUD :))))))))))))))))) Like episodes like this, wanna see everything. The crafting guide that showed you how to make a bed also displays the crafting bench you need to be near to make it (to the right of the bed recipe). The bed requires you to be near a sawmill.
You need a wall to place torchers. The background changes in different biomes/layers. When you're underground it may sometimes look like there is a wall but it's just the background.
i havent got much experience in this game, but i have learnt that if you press ctrl there are many little QoL things the game will assist you in, like using tools without having to specifically aim at the block right in front of you, or placing walls in a room
Easy tip: try pressing cntrl and placing and mining stuff some of it might be easier for you but if anything is harder to do just press cntrl again its called smart cursor and is just to make some things quicker.
hey gv to know what tier a material is hover over your pickaxe axe hammer (tools in general) and you can see fro example: pickaxe power xx% that tells you how good your pickaxe is p.s flippers allows you to swim sincein terraria you can only jump in water and walk along the bottom :)
You can push control for smart cursor it'll try to guess what you're trying to do and highlight where you're about to place with yellow (it will even perfectly space out torches for you)
A tip if you're gonna summon a boss, you'll need speed and a ton of space, and you can use wooden platforms to build platforms in the air to give you vertical space. You also don't need to be right near a campfire for it to boost your healing speed. Like someone else said, check the controls out to learn a bit more about your new gears. Lastly, look at the crafting recipes for the bars to see how many bars you need for upgrades and which ones have better stats. By the way, I'm enjoying the format you currently use, where you talk out your mental process, maybe shrink your facecam and move it onto the minimap, that way we can see more of the screen. Keep it up!👍
I love this game but it can be really confusing at the start, especially playing blind! Don't worry though, sooner or later you'll get the hang of it and I'm very excited to witness it happening
Hey man, on the off chance you see this comment, I feel like this Terraria series could help you spike up in popularity man. There’s a lot to learn in Terraria, and with TModLoader, a Steam extension for Terraria, you can try doing a blind playthrough of the Calamity Mod! It’s possibly the most popular Terraria mod ever, adding tons of new bosses and possibly doubling the amount of content! Keep up the content man, there aren’t enough Terraria RUclipsrs in the community! ❤
love seeing a gamer on the rise!!! awesome series so far BUT nah just kidding lol.... But forreal though on a side note its not like minecraft that much. Youre doing great though
Mmm yes, the average minecraft progression First punch a tree, then mine iron with your wood pickaxe, then mine copper with your iron pickaxe, then mine gold with your copper pickaxe and finally mine diamonds with your gold pickaxe.
Hello , can i suggest something? Terraria is a very long through game , if you want to make it loke that it will probably take a looooong Time , what if you made a stream where we help you ? That would make it easier for you . Or just rely on the guide he is kida enough but you need to explore more and find things , and most importantly, having fun . Also , the guide can show you crafting recipes and the require object to make them

Although it's slightly painful watching a newbie figure out what does what, I love your problem solving skills in Terraria

If you have 50 silver and a house available , merchant will come , he sells net , you can catch critters with it , most of them are baits for fishing
Place chests under the floor, this way you can access them while also having access to crafting stations
Copper ore is beyond worthless unless you like copper bricks
focus on exploring the surface for loots and weapons
10:34 you can name chests directly
I love how whenever I see a playthrough, they always want to take the umbrella slime's umbrella.

BTW CRTL is REAllY USEFUL button it activates auto select so you can auto place torches, platforms and auto mine.

Great series! Its amazing to see someone play this lovely game (: hope you have as much fun as i did playing it!
hey gv to know what tier a material is hover over your pickaxe axe hammer (tools in general) and you can see fro example: pickaxe power xx% that tells you how good your pickaxe is
p.s flippers allows you to swim sincein terraria you can only jump in water and walk along the bottom :)
I like this episode, seeing you finding out how to do stuff showing how you making progress.
But somethings you can do off screen
You can push control for smart cursor it'll try to guess what you're trying to do and highlight where you're about to place with yellow (it will even perfectly space out torches for you)
The dart trap need wires and switch to be active, it can be useful if you underground to see wires so you can avoid the traps when you holding it

Loving this series!!!
fantastic job! i just started terraria a few days ago so i was in a similar position to you hahaha.
the scary music at the begining was a monsoon, they are quite rare, but all it is it's just a lot of rain.
I love this game but it can be really confusing at the start, especially playing blind! Don't worry though, sooner or later you'll get the hang of it and I'm very excited to witness it happening
I never realized just how confusing terraria is when you first start.
Damn can’t wait for more man

@@GeeVeeOfficial Hello, I'll help ya if ya need it!
love seeing a gamer on the rise!!! awesome series so far BUT nah just kidding lol.... But forreal though on a side note its not like minecraft that much. Youre doing great though
Great Video.
My man be finding all ores while me having stroke finding good ores rn
Mmm yes, the average minecraft progression First punch a tree, then mine iron with your wood pickaxe, then mine copper with your iron pickaxe, then mine gold with your copper pickaxe and finally mine diamonds with your gold pickaxe.
Pls push control I'm begging you it enables smart cursor
honestly what i suggest doing is taking the hammer and "exploring" just how the physics of the world works with it
oh the eye. thats nice.
i again wanna say, we should only give advice about whats IN the video. no spoilers
the hammer can "reorient" blocks like you were asking
you labeled the chest with a sign, but do keep in mind you can name chests
for the most part trying to beat this game like minecraft is only going to half work. diamond is dirt tier.
Hello , can i suggest something?
Terraria is a very long through game , if you want to make it loke that it will probably take a looooong

yeah this in a livestream form could be very good.
Bro there is no copper tools in mc XD, Wood < Stone < Iron
black nail polish?
Ghrovy?!?
Hey, you're not blind at all. Smh my head
who are you and why are you in my recommandation?
liked :3
