Hey man I just want to say thank you for making the video humorous and easy to understand. My dad and I bought one of these last winter and we were going to lauch her on her maiden voyage in the spring. But dad decided it was time to pass away before this great event. I think he must have guided me to your video because I needed to smile through the tears of missing him so much as the voyage began without him here. Great video. Made my day.
sorry bout your Dad man.... lost mine too. how do you like the mower? i need to get one quick because my riding lawn mower (craftsmen) just bit the dust and I'm going to rebuild the motor (which my Dad taught me how to do), but in the mean time i need a mower that can be folded up and not take garage space. thanks! Home Depot wants $359.00 for this ....

I picked one of these up yesterday..... was just gonna look, but tractor supply had it knocked down to $259!!!! Sold! Got her all set up out of the box, and it smoked when I first started it(I thought maybe that’s just a new engine?) Ran it about one minute, started to see little oil coming out of the muffler. At this point I shut it down and double checked the instructions, figuring maybe I missed something. The only thing I did not do was check the oil level after I filled it, which I really did not think was necessary. So I went back outside checked the oil level, which was fine, wiped the oil splatters of the deck, fired it up again, no smoke ,no oil, mowed the entire yard without incident. Has anyone else had this experience? Really loved the personal pace, got a really nice cut. And the all-wheel-drive made it considerably easier than my old rear wheel drive mower. My yard is about 70% hill.
I have one and not bad. Store it in the in vertical position, it's design to drain the fuel in the carburetor into the tank in order not to clog carburetor passages.
We just bought one of these mowers. I thought about my back when it came time to get it out of the box, so I cut both sides of the end panel of the box so it folded down to the ground and I rolled the mower out on its wheels. Easy enough - zero lifting. Putting it together was just as easy. The high rear wheels really make a difference - don't even need to use the front-wheel drive function. It starts on the first pull and is miserly with gas. All in all, a good mower, IMO. Thanks for the review. Cheers.

Enjoyed your video. But...it seems that after you take out the white bagger unit, you could use a knife or a box cutter to slice the box from top to bottom at both corners of one end of the box, then just roll the mower out instead of having to lift it out of the box. Think that might work? For us older folks with less than Herculean backs.
Those 2 personal pace models the first one is the one with push button electric start or the model with blade break clutch and there is a model with personal pace is the model 20332
Good one think you only get free ones in USA and Canada... I'm in the UK just paid 😢 for one .. but your right you do need it specially if the grass is a little high.
Like your presentation. was trying to make my mind between Toro and Honda, Got first toro and when i started to mow the lawn i realized the Blade was bent.so i returned it. Now thinking with care what to buy.
Just bought one several things I don’t love how you have to adjust the weels one by one them it’s front drive rather have self prepel with the back weels over all I do like it but wished it wasn’t fwd and the weels adjustment one by one sucks !
Some of the questions were not answered, particularly one about adding the whole bottle of oil that came with it. I added the whole bottle and it looks like it overfilled the engine. Could that be a problem? If so how do I correct it? Should I drain out some? and How do I do this? Thanks otherwise a great video
Hey Robert, the owners manual on mine said to add the whole bottle. I’d check your manual and makes sure it says the same since it’s been a couple years.
Is the grass long? My first thought is that the mower is betting bogged down, but if not, it may be an issue with the mower. Should be under warranty if you just bought it.
I have the same problem. My 12 year old rusted out Toro that I had before this would plow through 10 inch grass with ease. I finally sprung for a new Toro, and it bogs down at the mere sight of tall grass. I'm incredibly disappointed. I have the updated version of this mower (purchased in Fall 2021). For some inexplicable reason, they removed the side discharge from the new model. The lack of any option for a side or rear discharge (other than bagging) is incredibly stupid. The mulching blade simply can't keep up unless you go painfully slow, back up and go back over the same spot multiple times. I really regret this purchase.
It's a sweet mower, most important to me is wheels are sold in store at home Depot and at Lowes ,tires are better than Honda mowers being I owned both over the years ,bag stays putt, great bracket design that bag sits , it claims not to have to change oil and I like this mower ,with store bought and not internet ordering like many other mowers ,it was so good I bought a second to replace the Honda mower.its better
Is it an either or situation with the side discharge and the bag? My son mowed the lawn with both outlets closed and the lawnmower stopped after one pass. Is it because the grass had no outlet and clogged up the undercarriage?
Yes. I'm guessing the grass build up got too much for the mower to handle in "mulching" mode. I made a video recently explaining the different mowing modes...might be helpful?: ruclips.net/video/Z7IpSZIjgOY/видео.html
TIP for anyone who bought the newer 2020 model of this mower: Do yourself a favor and register your mower. When you do, you can check a box to indicate you want the (FREE) rear discharge chute. You're going to need it for wet or tall grass. This mower bogs down very easily in less than ideal conditions.
Great video! One quick question. I bought this mower in the fall of 2020, and it worked great! However, in the spring of 2021 the bagging system started to not work properly only filling the bag about 2 inches before clogging. I have washed under the deck and have washed the bag a few times but no success. I have also tried a new blade. However Just a few days ago though I used a power washer to clean more grime from the deck, but because I just mowed my grass with another mower, I have not been able to test if the better cleaning job worked. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone else had the same issue or if it is just me, I have not found any RUclips videos about this issue with this mower so I thought I would comment on this one. Thanks!
I bought the Toro Smart stow used it once & now it want start? 6/13/22. I was told to add the whole content of the oil that was included. What could possibly be the problem???
Hi. I just bought this lawnmower today. Assembled it, added gas & oil. Pulled it several times & it won't start. I made sure the spark plug was in. I'm so frustrated. Can you help a girl out!
Awesome video I do have a question as we have the same lawnmowers I wanted to confirm that the top lever will also turn off the engine when you let it go again?
Just bought the TORO 22" Model 20339 this morning. Love it so far. Can anyone tell me why half the grass trimmings are coming out between the Black shout door cover and the Red metal body when I installed the bag . There seems to be a 1/8" to 1/4" gap when I open the Black rear door ? Thanks Dan April 25, 2020
@@justinstallkamp8552 ....... Justin, many thanks for your reply. Two things, yes I got the 8 inch piece of foam. What a joke. I also found out from a Kid working at Home Depot that the mower equipped with the Mulching blade is NOT Intended to BAG the grass, rather to just spread it around.. He suggested I buy the High Rise Blade that really sucks the grass up as it cuts it, and then Bags the grass. So I bought a new blade for my New Toro and that really works. Cost was about $20.00 CAN. Many thanks, DAN
I'm sorry to hear that didn't work, I work for their customer support, and that's pretty much the only solution we currently have for that. I'm glad to hear that the blade helped tho!
@@justinstallkamp8552 ... Justin, The Toro Mower is fantastic. Too bad such a small adjustment in manufacturing can be so negative. Maybe you could encourage the company to retool in the future. Or, for the price of a High Lift Blade, give one away as an incentive or Reward for purchasing this product. Cost to the company maybe $5.00 Can ? P.S. build that into the selling price !!!! Again, I love the "Starts Every Time' feature. Thanks again, Dan June 21, 2020
That's where you can connect a garden hose. Connect the hose, turn it on full-blast, then start the mower and run for a few minutes. It helps keep the underside of the deck clean, so grass clippings don't build up there. Cheers.
You have three options. Use the bag, leave the bag off and mulch, or put the discharge shoot on. I alternate between them depending on the time of year and how tall the grass is. Mulching doesn't work very well if the grass is thick or long....it bogs down pretty quick!

Great tip! I have a video coming out this week talking exactly about that!
Thanks!
thanks just bought about to see how it works
I bought the Toro Smart stow used it once & now it want start? 6/13/22. I was told to add the whole content of the oil that was included. What could possibly be the problem???
Great video! Just got this mower today at Home Depot.
Thank you! Enjoy!
That’s a nice dirt mower
Great video, this is exactly what I was looking for.
That’s my life was dam easier as just today I bought my very first mower . Good job buddy
Thanks 👍
Low-key Lawn Care Are you not using gas stabilizer ?
Honk Watch your language
Thanks this was a big help with this new lawnmower.
do they have a rear wheel drive version... front wheel drive is not so good from others i have had... thax
Mine came with a little bit of oil plus a full bottle of oil should I still add the whole bottle of oil in it?
Best video by far 😀🤩🤩🤩
Thank you so much
Thanks!
How is the mower holding up ??
Great so far!
You don’t need to add oil before you start mowing ?
What is the blue circle thing on top of the mower for..it has oil drops on it with two locked sings?
It’s to add a water hose to rinse the undercarriage.
Great demo. Really appreciate it.
What’s the blue thingy me bob on the deck I have seen them before but not sure what they are
That’s the deck washout feature. You can attach a hose and it washes out the underside of the deck.
Low-key Lawn Care wow that’s a Great future thanks for replying have a great day
Can the lawn mower also be used without the bag?
Yes!
Thank you
What's the purpose of the blue knob on lower left?
The blue knob is where you can attach a garden hose to it to wash out the underside of the mower deck.
Glad I watched.
Arriving in one week.
Very nice video.
Hi. I just bought this lawnmower today. Assembled it, added gas & oil. Pulled it several times & it won't start. I made sure the spark plug was in. I'm so frustrated. Can you help a girl out!
This helped me a lot..Thanks for the Video.🙏👍.
Thanks Edgar!
I bet your one of those guy's who say, "Hold My Beer and Watch This"
I love your video, that I actually today I bought my lawn mower like yours,
What is the round blue thing with the lock and unlock and drops?
Awesome video I do have a question as we have the same lawnmowers I wanted to confirm that the top lever will also turn off the engine when you let it go again?
Yes it will
nice vid...what kind of gas do you use with it? do you just go to the gas station and fill up your gas can?
Yeah, I just go to the gas station and fill up the can! I've had some people recommend premium gas, but I just use regular.
@@LowkeyLawnCare great thanks
Has it been reliable since you got it? Nice video!
Yes it’s been great! One of my recent videos gives an update on it!
@@LowkeyLawnCare Great thank you! I’m getting it!
what type of gas do u use
Just bought the TORO 22" Model 20339 this morning. Love it so far.
Can anyone tell me why half the grass trimmings are coming out between the Black shout door cover and the Red metal body when I installed the bag . There seems to be a 1/8" to 1/4" gap when I open the Black rear door ? Thanks Dan April 25, 2020
Not sure why it’s not sitting tight. I’ll have to look at mine and see if it does the same thing...haven’t noticed it so far.
That will happen, call customer support and they will send you a foam seal kit to fix that issue.
What is the blue knob on the left side for.... the one with the water droplets 💦.. thanks
That's where you can connect a garden hose. Connect the hose, turn it on full-blast, then start the mower and run for a few minutes. It helps keep the underside of the deck clean, so grass clippings don't build up there. Cheers.
@@SCSlimBoiseID no kidding?!? That's gotta be messy, lol..
@@elfpimp1 I do it over a mowed area so all the green stuff falls onto other green stuff and the water isn't lost into the gutter. 😎
The self-propelled lever is an exact copy of a John Deere JX75!
Do you need to have the mulch bag or can you just let the clippings go on the lawn?
You have three options. Use the bag, leave the bag off and mulch, or put the discharge shoot on. I alternate between them depending on the time of year and how tall the grass is. Mulching doesn't work very well if the grass is thick or long....it bogs down pretty quick!
my lawnmower has a small plastic cap, does anyone know what it is for or where it goes?
Thank you very much it's very good machine I love it
You did a great job mowing your dirt but does it work on grass?
Bruh😂🤣😹
Cool I. Just bought this same mower today.. Is fuel stabilizer necessary?
I only put stabilizer in at the end of the season before winter hits...during the summer I don’t.
thanks ..
How about steablizer?
