I completely understand why he didn't tell her. Daryl knows her better then anyone he can see how broken she is and how bad she is hurting telling her about everything that happened would have just completely pushed her over the edge. He loves her to much to see that happened to her so he did what he thought was right. And I believe he was right to do it.
The difference between Daryl telling Morgan but NOT Carol about what happened is that Carol would DEFINITELY kill more people and "degrade" her humanity (in her eyes). Morgan can take that information, feel sad, and maintain is no killing. but not Carol. That's why he didn't tell her. just like Morgan said in the episode...
I feel like no one understands what Carol is going through, nor why Daryl didn't tell her. She is trying to hold on to what little of herself she has left. Yes she's badass, but like Daryl, she's so mentally and emotionally fragile. All the killing she's done, has taken it's toll on her. She's sacrificed so much of herself, and is desperately trying to hang on to what is left. Daryl knows this, and is trying to save her mental state for as long as he can. He cares more about her well being, than what she could offer in this fight. Neither one are being selfish. If anyone else saw her, and how she is barely holding on, they wouldn't tell her the truth either. The poor gal deserves a rest.
Language Unifies. You're on the internet. We have our own dialect here. If I said to someone on Tumblr, that this episode killed me, they would know that's a positive thing. In the real world it means something else. So those junkyard people and the kingdom people, they are their own society and create and manipulate your own language and dialect. They didn't de-evolve their language, they CHOSE to speak that way and form their own unique society around it. Think about your own fandoms... they all have their own language too.
In 2-3 years? No. And this "internet" language you are referring to is created by lazy children, just like all slang terms are. See any children in the junkyard? No. And you're whole argument is destroyed by the fact that NO ONE ELSE DOES THIS. Every other group that's been met continues to maintain a clear English language.
and groupthink is a powerful thing... things can change in a couple weeks. Add that to some stressful situations, and the desire to make sense of it? Conformity.
...and you know they have some serious dance parties when they go into the cave part... I'm sure somebody's got an old solar powered diskman & some sweet dumpster speakers... all kinds of Ministry, Nitzer Ebb, Kraftwerk... Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy... :)
I feel like Daryl not telling carol about Glenn and Abraham is pretty stupid. It's pretty much there to setup future artificial drama. And what's wrong with carol? She left because she couldn't kill to protect her friends. Now she's sitting in a house and worrying about whether people died or not when she straight up ditched the crew! And I swear to god I'm going to kill rosita my self 😂
Fareed Ahamed no its not yes he should of told her but daryl cares way to much to tell her that negan killed them both she would go straight to the sanctuary and try to kill them all carols been through so much and yes we aren't getting the badass carol but she is takeing a break yes she will find out eventually but for now daryl doesn't want her to do anything stupid amd get killed
Fareed Ahamed it's not that she couldn't kill. It's that Daryl clearly sees it's taking a toll on her. That's exactly what Daryl would do, because he doesn't want her to put her through that. It's not like carols going to get pissed if she finds out. If anything once she finds out is when we see her kick some savior ass. This isn't artificial drama. This is organically what these characters would do.
Carol is having a crisis and is borderline suicidal. She doesn't want to see death anymore especially brutal tragic ones, she is afraid of seeing people she loves die.
Here's my take on the Carol story: It's clear that carol is afraid of what is happening to herself and is probably becoming a very sad person because of all the shit she's gone through. It wasn't until Morgan showed up and stated his philosophy that she considered that maybe she does not have to be this murderous person. Up until Morgan showed up, everyone has said you just gotta do what you can to survive. Which led her to become a cold person where she did things like kill and burn the body of Tyrese's girlfriend. She sees how well not killing has worked for Morgan and she thinks maybe that will make her happy too. But she can't do that as long as she has people to defend. So she decides to leave. Sometimes people spend so much time looking after others that they forget to look out for themselves. I think what she is doing is very realistic. Maybe it's not exciting or what people want for her character but its not bad writing (in my opinion). Now, I will say though, it could be done much better. Instead of the writers having Carol say things like "I dont want to kill" have her say that she doesn't know if she can do it anymore. Sort of subtlety hinting that shes becoming depressed and possibly suicidal, like the comic version of her character. Because then the audience will at least develop some sympathy for her. And it will add more impact when Daryl decides not to tell her about Glenn and Abraham. He cares about her and wants her to be happy. Then after living alone she will eventually realize what she is missing and she can come back.
Carol is afraid of what she can do, of the lengths she is willing to go, she fucking killed a child and then she saw a mirror of her old self in Jessie and Sam and they died a horrible dead, man why is so difficult to understand ?????? 😒
Even some of her decisions may be justified in that confusion/fear, but there are things too forced into the storyline like the kingdoms people empaty towards her or that sudden emotional breakdown when asking if everyone was OK which doesnt make sense in the narrative. And we have seen a lot of those convinient/force dialogues on TWD lately (like Gabriel´s speech about how strong and amazing was his group ... that ended up saving their lives).
doesn't make sense? How does her break down not make sense? She's fearing for her actions, She's with and comprehending her actions. Yeah she's going to cry at even the thought of them getting killed while her being gone. How does that not make sense. The same with the Kingdoms sympathy, but that's mostly from the Ezekiel, and pretty sure we established their relationship at the beginning of the season.
You^ think it's boring. I think it's building a real character. Everyone isn't gonna be a badass you can kill without remorse. You want that? You got Rick, Daryl, Pretty much anyone else but Morgan and Carol. I'm glad (and agree) with Morgan's choice not to kill. And I'm happy he got through to Carol in a way. I find it interesting. I understand not everyone does but there's literally NOTHING AMC could do to make EVERYONE interested. NOTHING. So they add characters and tell stories that they wanna tell. You should focus on what interests you in the show. I don't think there's ever gonna be a show that has this big of a cast where you're gonna love and find interest in EVERY single character.
TheLibertini see the way I think about is that it's true to her character and builds her character out in a brilliant way. I mean everyone wants her to kill kill kill, murder when that's not what's true for character right now, and she puts a different perspective to this whole zombie apocalypse thing. We know she's a badass. We know this because we know her, but knowing her also comes with all the baggage as well. So when we do finally see her go all out, it's not "oh Carol going crazy again" which is kind of just whatever. It's when we do finally see Carol go nuts just like Morgan, it's "oh shit. You are in for it now", and that's earned through that building of her character. Maybe that's not the best dramatic choice for what's going on currently. Maybe that's not what's the most interesting for everyone especially with people with different views, but it provides a different perspective, and it feels more earned when we do actually see that other side to her that is subdued.
The scavengers were just speaking in code. The might talk normally. I heard a theory that they're mental patients that escaped when the apocalypse hit. And they adopted the style of their caretakers name tags to name themselves. Like Tammy L. Jade .S and Brian.N. I like the theory. I hope they're not just people who devolved over like 3/4 years
Nizzle Prizzle She's Yeah the first 2 seasons were about 7 to 8 months. Then34 through now has been about a year and a half. At least that's how I've been seeing it. The only major point where everyone changes drastically was between Season 2 & 3
I mean think about it like this. Why do people talk differently when moving to Australia, or London, or Georgia, or Boston or Compton for that matter? People assimilate differently in different cultures. I don't see them as them "forgetting" how to speak english. It's that they've developed their own culture, systems, and langue amongst themselves, and that foundation of that culture could very much be built on their leadership. Look at the kind of leader she is. She commands a certain level of respect at all times. That's bound to influence these people and their society. Really not that surprising to me at all.
I really have to disagree with you.Carol doesn't want to become a soulless killing machine. I think she's done more than enough for the group and she just wants to try to feel like a normal human being... I also think she knew deep down Daryl was lying. I believe Daryl did something that was very un-selfish in lying to her.The garbage people are odd... but they may have just dropped words to make talking short. They may just be quiet and are moving away from lengthy conversation. After all, we had groups who became cannibals and the frikkin' wolves who carve W's into their hands. I mean... if you're OK with them and not the people who talk in short quips to reduce talking time... I don't know.
Hahaha when Shane said there was a Harry Potter Convention when this all started and all these people were stuck there, I was lmbo. Bwaaahahahahaha Both Rosita and Daryl were telling people to grow up.
"What your holding onto its already gone, wake up man." "Should have told that to Carol" Yeah no, I love you guys but y'all don't understand the characters if you want her to lose herself just so you can see a couple kills on screen.
The actress for Jadis said they don't talk in complete sentences because "It's very succinct and to the point. There's no need for extraneous words, it's just what you need and direct"
That spiked zombie was hilarious. It reminded me of the fight between Captain Kirk and the Space Lizard. The weird 'Trash People' with their formation choreography and trippy music reminded me of The Warriors. "Warriors....Come out to play-yay..."
When the weird scavenger lady first started talking she asked if they were a "Collective" or if they had a "Leader" that made me think of the Borg maybe they were at a Star Trek Convention instead of Harry Potter.
I STILL wonder where the hell Morales is. I do think he'll make a comeback. I also have no problem with Carol having a selfish moment in TWD. If you think about it, Carol's always been thinking about others since season 1, whether it was the safety of her daughter (hence why she was still with her abusive husband during the start of the ZA), to thinking about the others in the prison by killing the infected peeps, to thinking about Rick's group in Terminus, to thinking about Lizzie and her sister, and so on and so forth. This is Carol finally standing up and being like ''This is what I have to do for ME. I care too much and I just have to take a step back and put myself in priority or I'm going to lose my mind', and yeah that's selfish but she NEEDS that. I think we as humans need to take a moment to be selfish, to think about ourselves first for a while, because if we don't take the time to find that balance for our own mental/emotional well-being, then we aren't going to be any better to those we love. You CAN lose yourself if you care for others more than yourself; you have to draw a line somewhere, and this is Carol drawing that line. Like you said, she went from an abuse victim to a badass (much like Daryl went from an abuse victim to a badass but in an earlier timeline); she's trying to find that in-between place. That place of caring for someone else AND for herself. So she needs time to reflect by herself, without the constant worry of the people around her, but she's finding that hard to accomplish. I also see a lot of people comparing her to other characters like Rick or Michonne and being like 'well why aren't THEY like that?' because THEY aren't Carol. Every person has their own experience and reaction to those experiences, you can't expect people to deal with trauma in the same way. Sometimes PTSD hits one person earlier or later than another--I mean there was a time that Rick was McFreakin losing it while everyone else was like 'Are you OK my dude?' and the hissy fits that Daryl threw in S5 were no better. But again, everyone's different. Also, while I DO think Carol needs to talk about her emotions more, her problems aren't going to be solved by just asking Rick or whoever what they did to cope with it. Coping is also a very unique process. I think the respect and admiration comes from Morgan and Ezekiel. Ezekiel already likes her on a personal level, once he saw through her bull he knew she was a good person to be around (to the point of being smitten with her, although I don't ship it LOL), and I think Morgan just filled in the rest. I mean, he SAW her take down the Wolves almost single handedly, so I'm sure he shared a story or two; to the Kingdomers she must be like a legend LOL. Plus she has the respect and personal interest of their leader, who they look up to, so they know she can't be that bad and like Shiva, may just trust her because he does. For me, it's just funny. It's hilarious to see Carol be like 'Get off my lawn!' while Jerry just stands there holding a cobbler along with Ezekiel's posse (I'm sure they want to all take a peek at their boss' crush). I don't find any harm in any of it. I know you say you understand it, and I can respect that even though you know all of this you don't like it, but I don't know? Personally, I think you're being too hard on Carol? Back in JSS you guys were kind of complaining about how she was too much of a killer, but now that she's not killing then she's not worth it? I just don't see Carol being in a place where everyone's going to be happy with her, and that's OK, I've liked her since the beginning and now she's my favorite character. I'm still rooting for her. I wanna add a tidbit about the JunkYard peeps and the way they speak and act. At first I was like yeah...this is kind of reaching; it's a bit too weird and unbelieveable' but then I was like, 'You know, Ezekiel has a tiger?' and I think THAT'S 500x more unbelievable than finding a group of people nerdy enough to start a short hand language with you. It's like pig latin--no one really needed it, but the people who can speak it feel cool. It's a form of intimidation as well, it isolates Rick's group from their own, further labeling them as outsiders and putting a wall between them. Us vs Them. They're not like us because they don't dress like us, or know our language. There's less sympathy to be shared and less holes for Rick's group to poke through. It's all a face they've made for themselves, much like how Ezekiel is a 'king' with 'subjects' and has ''authority'. I'm starting to sort of embrace the silliness and diversity of it all? We've never really had so many communities, especially ones so DIFFERENT from one another. The Kingdom, The Saviors, Alexandria, and The Hilltop are so close but at the same time they feel like other worlds completely. If anything Alexandria is the most vanilla out of all of them, it's like picking the Human race in Warcraft LOL. I can dig it. I ALSO disagree about Richard LOL. He's a red shirt just like that kid Morgan's training and I honestly don't want to waste my time finding out about his tragic back story. We have too much going on right now to focus on such minor characters.
Maybe the new group are people who escaped a mental institution and stayed together the best they can... I'm waiting for an explanation, because right now it feels kinda ridiculous.
I thought it was weird how the woman talks, but it's even weirder once you know that it's only been less than two years since the outbreak in The Walking Dead TV universe.
bandito_x 9 You have to look at baby Judith as a reference. Lori got pregnant in like season 1 and had Judith in season 3. Now Judith is like a year and some months or something. So yeah, it's around 2 years.
bandito_x 9 time doesn't pass the same way in the show as it does in the real world. They can't stop the actors from growing. But they have used many different babies/toddlers to keep Judith young. The official timeline in the show is just under 2 years
I get what you're saying Eric with some kind of guerilla tactic to start the war between the Kingdom and The Saviors. But it means that the Saviors would probably strikes back and kill Kingdom's people before the war. So I think Richard's strategy makes sense from his POV, he wants to play the emotional card with Ezekiel. With only one victim, Carole, and one that is not from his people, he can bring Ezekiel and so The Kingdom to war mod in a very short time. Of course its only based on the fact that Ezekiel likes Carol very much. ^^
I really enjoyed his character and I would love to see him back. Haha sorry if it's annoying but I am allowed to make theories and speculation just as much as the next person :P
Tara promised that she wouldn't tell about the Oceanside people, buuuut they also said they would take her safely back to her people. Soooo, yeah. We all know how that went...
My theory about The Heapsters is they are survivors of a plane crash from a northern European country... Blind Wave made the comment about them not being able to speak in full sentences, and to me that makes sense... Kind of like the plane crash or ship wreck books and movies
Whats not believable is putting so much immortality on chars like Glenn or Darrell like with the latter just walking out, back to hilltop, somehow, even after he was pursued by the superior militant force and with roaming zombie hordes, Darrell is just immortal. And while Glenn got his, eventually, he was basically Asian Jesus for the longest while only to add onto suspense rather than character development.
And about Carol, let's Name some questionable kills Rick has done... I'm waiting... Everyone rick has killed were either trying to kill him first, Had already attempted killing him/and/or his friends/family. Carol though? She kill Karen and David in their sleep while they were sick. Yes she thought it was for the greater good but it did nothing, everyone got sick anyway and were only saved by Daryl & his group bringing back meds. What she did was wrong and cold blooded, Then not long after that she's exiled and runs into Tyrese, Judith and the two little girls she cares about. What happens then??? She sees one of those little girls kill her own sister and then had to put her down. Now while we may say she had no choice and she did the right thing (which i do believe) In all actuality she did have a choice. she could've just left her there and went on with Tyrese & Judith. Or Stayed with her and let Tyrese and Judith leave. I understand they discussed those things but she COULD have done that. which is a thought I'm 100% sure runs through her mind all the time. Then on top of that she mercy killed one of the Alexandrian's during the wolf raid which must not have felt to good. By that time though she had come to terms with everything she'd done and believed heavily she was right for doing so....Until she met Morgan. Morgan was the man who didn't kill. The man who showed her that murdering people should be conflicting. Making her feel all the buried guilt of all the kills she's done. And on top of that she witnessed the wolf change and save Denise after she herself shot and killed him. PLUS she indirectly killed Sam by threatening him with walkers making him scared during the walker invasion. which she clearly thinks about when visiting Sam's grave and placing the cookie on it. I know this is a novel but I'm trying to bring it all home here lol. anyway there's A LOT that her character is going through. and while everyone loves to says she's been this way for 2 seasons it's really only been one. She wasn't in every episode of season 6 and was only in 2 episodes the first half of 7. She's had minor roles in episode 9 & 10 but no more. So it hasn't been on going EVERY episode for the last 2 seasons. Point being it makes lots of sense why she feels this way guys
Rorschach from Watchmen speaks JUST like that. I'd put it to being mentally unstable, distancing themselves from humanity to become something else. I wouldn't say they were devolving, speaking in a fractured way like that makes you grind your teeth with how annoying it can be, or threatening it can be. They would only ever be respectful of someone if they felt someone were just like themselves.
I, for one, am pretty intrigued by the scavengers. they do give off kind of mad max-esque vibes, which I love in post-apocalyptic universes. is it realistic for a community/cult like this to emerge within just a few years after the initial outbreak? probably not, but this is a show about reanimated corpses walking around, so I'm not so sure realism is what they're aiming for here. :b
oh, I'm very much familiar with the existence of cults in our time, so I guess it is plausible for something like this to exist. it's just that (to me) this particular group feels like something bred from the environment rather than something pre-existing. I guess we'll find out as we get to know more about their background.
It's a show about zombies and you think people who after seeing the shit the world has turned to they decided it was better to be essentially invisible is too out there? To me it feels like the less militant version of the amazon ladies camp. Each community seems to reflect it's leader for the most part. Hilltop (until recently) have been submissive in the extreme much like Gregory. Alexandria has been the most proactive as that is what Rick encourages. The Saviors follow Negan's lead. The amazon camp leader was quick to judgement and willing to decieve Tara, and her followers were for most part happy to go along with it. Jadis seems if not unemotional then very calm and hard to provoke. It stands to reason she would encourage that same behavior in others.
It's not about that, it's about how they talk and act and their names, Also it's obvious the casting choices for the group was very specific about their physique as if they're an entirely different race that developed after the apocalypse as if they are Like trash Elves or something.
The way they gathered around the group in a cinematic way as if they know they're being filmed. That was stupid. Also when Michonne asked the girl about where are they taking Rick, and the girl silently raised her arm in a graceful angelic way. Please, poor directing is poor directing, there's no excuse for that. I almost felt like I'm watching an episode of The 100.
I'm thinking that the people who are part of Jadis' group were not all there before it all went down to begin with and once it went all to hell they went even further over the edge. Perhaps they were part of some cult prior to it all ending. Hence them acting the way they act. Let's face it...if civilization went to hell many people would basically snap and not act the way they acted before.
The Trasheap community seems to me to as being based off of crows (not GoT), the black clothes, and their landing formations reminded me of how crows land on electrical wires.
I think they speak like that to preserve energy. Jadis implies they are finding rotten food so aren't getting what they need. They are all skinny and gaunt, their movement is limited and slow but also deliberate and Jadis says "We take. We don't bother." Remember in season 5 when the group were on the road they used the same method of preserving their energy. The garbage group has just been doing it longer. I like them and I hope that they're developed well. Unlike Carol.... Oh Carol 😫
i have not read the comics but from what I have heard the govern'er chops ricks hand off?? what if that blade that pierced his hand gives him an infection and he has to amputate it, do you see that as a possibility?
The writers of the tv show have said in interviews that they are not going to have Rick's hand cut off because it's annoying to have to edit it out of every scene. And the creator of The Walking Dead Robert Kirkman says he regrets having Rick's hand get cut off in the comics because it limits things Rick can do in the story.
PlasmaBoom thank you! I thought Rick loosing his hand was a pretty ridiculous decision. I was freaking out last episode thinking he was gonna loose it for sure .
Its not so much that I have a problem with the dumpster brigade, as I do enjoy Mad Max-ish post apocalyptic tropes... BUT when you realize its only been a couple years since the outbreak, then I find it hard to believe that groups like that would exist so soon.
The Savior guy was a jerk, but you have to admit he was provoked. If I was in the Kingdom guy's shoes and I knew that Savior jerk had a short fuse, I wouldn't add all of the extra stuff to my words that are just gonna aggro him. Kingdom guy had it coming for not using his head to know how to not make him mad.
Thank God for you guys! Some people with some sanity at last. I saw so many people loving this episode that I was beginning to think there was something wrong with me. I agree with absolutely everything you mentioned. At this point all this stupid illogical crap in the show makes me just angry to the point I dont want to watch it anymore. Also it looks like in the past the creators deviated from the comics in ways that made for organic plot development and now its more, "lets change this, this, and that so the people dont know whats coming and the hell with plot or character development".
OK I'll try to explain myself, If you liked the episode good for you I'm glad you enjoyed it! MY PERSONAL opinion is that I hated the episode for ALL the reasons that the guys mentioned. BUT when I saw that many people liked the episode quite a lot THAT made me think that maybe I'm crazy and I imagined all the things that buged me. When the guys said all the things they didnt like AND it matched my opinion exactly, FOR ME that was sanity restored and I saw that I did not imagine all that was lacking here!!! Didn't mean to offend anybody..
Julia 1883 no worries! sorry you didn't care for it. I get what you're saying though. Personally while I agree about some of the flaws, I still enjoyed the episode and like the new group so far, but I can see how some people might think it's too over the top.
The trash people talk big but they have no idea what Negan and the Saviors are capable of. I just cant wait till next episode because my boy Negan is coming back and eventually we will get to meet "the new and improved Lucille."
It seems like recently everything the writers add into the show that was not in the comics is never very good. The Saviors whistling, the Tara solo episode stuff, these junkyard people, the current Carol story, etc.
Clearly killing is taking a toll on Carol and I don't blame her. if you killed as much as Carol, from slaughtering entire groups single handed, to putting down 10 year old girls, etc I'd bet you'd be singing different tunes.
I know it's too early in terms of story line but how about this, does Jadis become Alpha and her Junkyard crew are actually the Whisperers?.... I am possibly getting wat ahead of myself there but there is something about them that just screams The Whisperers to me.
Morales coming back is a joke. You read comments on Trevschan2's videos and you will get it. Whenever there's some new character in Walking Dead, It's Morales.
I still believe it can happen. Not many characters have left the show and not come back. I really enjoyed his character also so I would love to see him back.
This was a weird episode, the most weirdest being the introduction to The Scavengers. I felt their speech was a bit weird but it also sounded very cave man-ish but I think with time they will become a vital part of the story just like all the other groups. I do 100% agree with you guys though that Carol's storyline is annoying right now. Thats why I wanted Daryl to tell her the truth because then bad-ass Carol could return. That Walker scene was fucking intense and cool though, reminded me of Luke Skywalker fighting off the Rankor in ROTJ XD
I get it too why Daryl is doing it but I want carol to know now lol. And the new group is definitely um interesting lol I want to know more about them actually.
I don't understand why people don't get Carol , she started off as a weak abused woman and then became a strong killer. Do you really think a little bit of that weak woman isn't still there? It's not like she's been killing people all her life. Obviously it's going to get to her. She adapted to the world she lives in but that doesn't mean she has completely changed.
Shane has a problem with the show having "weird ass" people and I'm just sitting here, thinking they're basically all the fun. I mean, it started with Daryl, then Michonne, future serial killer Carl, Carol and Morgan (with their respective extremes) - they are all "weird ass" people. As for the groups they encountered, the most fun ones were Termites and the Wolves (who should have stuck for longer, given the build up they had) and it was because they were both weird as fuck. So I have no problem with those trash people, quite the opposite.
It seems every good show starts to go downhill after the rating go up and actors become rich and famous. They don't seem to try as hard as they did, before fame you do your best cause you want people to like it, now its like just give new episode to fans and follow the script. The show started to go down after Beth died at end of season 5. Season 6 is all about Alexandria and nothing really exiting. Season 7 first episode, sing me a song, and hearts still beating were ok, other 7 episodes are disappointing. Their rating will go down huge and season 8 could be the final i have a feeling.
Daniel Styles don't see anything wrong with the show everyone is over reacting because a show has to build a story and not just go straight to the action i think the show is fine adding the new group is cool doubt the will actually help rick mabey a betrayal but just relax and enjoy the show its a cool twist and the show is getting leading up to the war hence the name march to war
Shows don't go down hill, because the actors stop caring. Shows go downhill because there is no long term plan for most of them and they are kept on the air for years because they are popular. That forces the writers to constantly come up with new stuff which makes the stories weak.
Daniel Styles what are you talking about the best season was season 6 hands down. Without a question. Every other season pales in comparison. Just think about it. Giant zombie heard first episode, back to back with wolves invasion, carl losing an eye, attacking savior compounds with introducing negan by the end. Down hill my ass lol
the writers has been holding themselves back since after the premiere. who cares about a little bit of backlash. we want to see why Rick's group is the most bad ass one ever that'll defeat Negan. too many irrational character traits and actions don't support that claim at least not right now. And if that's the point and they all get on board eventually this whole this will just feel like they dragged out these storylines because they couldn't think of anything better
I think the new group seems like a bunch of loner misfits and outcasts from other groups that managed to find each other and decided on rules to be different. cause the names sound almost self chosen. almost like the bratva in arrow. a new family where the old you doesn't matter
This was probably one of the best breakdowns of what the state of The Walking Dead is at this point. I agree with pretty much everything said here. From Carol's irrational uninteresting storyline where she is treated like a queen for god knows what reason and her swaying rollercoaster of ideals and emotions. To Rosita's bullshit and even those really weird scrapyard Skrillex groupies. Great review.

I feel like no one understands what Carol is going through, nor why Daryl didn't tell her. She is trying to hold on to what little of herself she has left. Yes she's badass, but like Daryl, she's so mentally and emotionally fragile. All the killing she's done, has taken it's toll on her. If anyone else saw her, and how she is barely holding on, they wouldn't tell her the truth either. The poor gal deserves a rest.
shotgunxshogun People react differently to things though, some are mentally stronger to deal with it.
Conformity.
A noticeable slang can develop fuckloads faster than 2 to 3 years, by much.
The junkyard looked like the most safest place that we have seen. so many gates and it looks like a maze. I would hold up there
SnickerDoodle It probably smells like shit.
@mantis Smell like shit or be eaten by zombies or get found by not so nice group. I rather smell like shit.
MANTIS there's rotten corpses walking around dude, i think is safe to say that they're used to bad smells by now
...and you know they have some serious dance parties when they go into the cave part...
Fareed Ahamed nah... there are two sides to every motivation.
Fareed Ahamed Rosita can get these hands!!!
I see you've got Hershel, Abraham and Glenn on the desk there ;)

Here's my take on the Carol story:
It's clear that carol is afraid of what is happening to herself and is probably becoming a very sad person because of all the shit she's gone through.
+Jenna Rowl We understand it, just don't find it compelling. But I'm glad some people are enjoying it :) -Eric
I hope they're not just people who devolved over like 3/4 years
It's only been about 2 1/2 years since the outbreak btw.
Darkpoet1792 hmm weird. I just judge the timeline in how old Judith looks and it seems like she's about 2 years old.
Nizzle Prizzle She's Yeah the first 2 seasons were about 7 to 8 months. Then34 through now has been about a year and a half. At least that's how I've been seeing it. The only major point where everyone changes drastically was between Season 2 & 3
Actually it's been about 21 months since the outbreak, so less than 2 years, you can check a very detailed timeline on twd wikia.
yep, he sure has, but there's nothing they can do about that lol
What is Rosita's point? I was so confused by that.
No one knows, she is just mad Spencer got what was coming to him.
Sky Ren naw she's more mad about Abraham's fate
Paul Tame well she better turn that attitude around
They're making us hate her so we won't care when she dies, good guy writers ty
Who knows, maybe she will take the place of Holly, as irrational as she is being i can see her doing something stupid.
Nobody noticed how familiar that Trailer was....
HOLY CRAP I just watched the Newest Agents of Shield and I am THROWN. Absolutely astonished
Carol never knew that Daryl was captured, and I found the trash people intriguing. I noticed the speak patterns immediately, but it didn't bother me.
@4:50 Smokey and the Bandit truck trailer
Hahaha when Shane said there was a Harry Potter Convention when this all started and all these people were stuck there, I was lmbo. Bwaaahahahahaha Both Rosita and Daryl were telling people to grow up.
"What your holding onto its already gone, wake up man."
"Should have told that to Carol" Yeah no, I love you guys but y'all don't understand the characters if you want her to lose herself just so you can see a couple kills on screen.
The actress for Jadis said they don't talk in complete sentences because "It's very succinct and to the point. There's no need for extraneous words, it's just what you need and direct"
Ha, one of the funniest reactions from you guys!! Loved it.
"Trash-valanche"
"Bitch! Go?!"
"A happy man (Jerry)"
I would have thought that after getting someone killed with her stupid plan, along with getting Eugene taken away, Rosita would have humbled a bit.
can't wait for your SHIELD reaction!!, best...episode..ever
That spiked zombie was hilarious. It reminded me of the fight between Captain Kirk and the Space Lizard. The weird 'Trash People' with their formation choreography and trippy music reminded me of The Warriors. "Warriors....Come out to play-yay..."
When the weird scavenger lady first started talking she asked if they were a "Collective" or if they had a "Leader" that made me think of the Borg maybe they were at a Star Trek Convention instead of Harry Potter.
4:13 that rhyme tho
The only thing I take away from this episode is the new and fun way to say "up up up".
Maybe the new group are people who escaped a mental institution and stayed together the best they can... I'm waiting for an explanation, because right now it feels kinda ridiculous.
Joker from The Dark Knight: "Uh...half."
I thought it was weird how the woman talks, but it's even weirder once you know that it's only been less than two years since the outbreak in The Walking Dead TV universe.
As soon as that woman said half I thought of Bernie from Bad Santa saying "Half" then boom they cut to that exact scene.
Shane: "it's only been 4 years". 4 years? try 7 plus all the time jumps they did in between seasons
It's been 2 years max
oh...whoops, forgive my stupidity:)
bandito_x 9 You have to look at baby Judith as a reference. Lori got pregnant in like season 1 and had Judith in season 3. Now Judith is like a year and some months or something. So yeah, it's around 2 years.
CGCentral HD Not 18, Chandler Riggs is 15 I think, but yeah they should've take him growing in account. I guess we're just suppose to ignore it haha.
bandito_x 9 time doesn't pass the same way in the show as it does in the real world.
"There's a funnel!"
This killed me. Lol! :-D
That walker in the trash in with spikes and shit, was metal as fuck.
Katie Stubbs bringing up Morales is the funniest thing ever lol
Eminem3DG Tyler it was a few years ago. Now it's just annoying.
I really enjoyed his character and I would love to see him back. Haha sorry if it's annoying but I am allowed to make theories and speculation just as much as the next person :P
RIP Bernie mac
Carol Get up, get up, get up, get up!
Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up!
Oh, baby now let's get down tonight
On the talking dead they revealed that the "Trash People" are called the Scavengers. :)
"Trash-valanche" 😂😂😂😂😂
I'm hoping Jerry get attacked and then revealing that he's a total badass I think that would be awesome love Jerry
They would only ever be respectful of someone if they felt someone were just like themselves.
lol I was thinking of that bad Santa scene too when I was watching it :D
Richard knows if the Saviors attacked Carol then it will motivate Ezekial to fight against them because he has the hots for her.
Shadi Wajed lmao trash elves
The way they gathered around the group in a cinematic way as if they know they're being filmed. That was stupid. Also when Michonne asked the girl about where are they taking Rick, and the girl silently raised her arm in a graceful angelic way. Please, poor directing is poor directing, there's no excuse for that. I almost felt like I'm watching an episode of The 100.
I was hoping for one of you to notice the smokey and the bandit trailer this episode.
The trash people behaviour, reminded me of bees behaviour on a hive.
lol my first thought was thunder dome too with the trash people :)
Odd but they have the numbers :D
I'm thinking that the people who are part of Jadis' group were not all there before it all went down to begin with and once it went all to hell they went even further over the edge. Perhaps they were part of some cult prior to it all ending. Hence them acting the way they act. Let's face it...if civilization went to hell many people would basically snap and not act the way they acted before.
My theory about Carol is she's going to lose her mind and her humanity and become the next big villain from the comics.
I think the Daryl-tiger thing happened because Ezequiel will die eventualy so Daryl will keep the tiger.
When you are done, you should totally react to the doctor who series! It is honestly one of my favorite shows of all time and it is amazing.
Winslow, the Thunderdome Walker. XD
Oh Carol 😫
no one's noticed that the trailer that Richard and Daryl fight by looks like Snowman's from Smokey and The Bandit
Cant wait for Eric and Aaron to react to agents of shield !!
I agree with you guys 100% with the whole Carol storyline.
i have not read the comics but from what I have heard the govern'er chops ricks hand off?? what if that blade that pierced his hand gives him an infection and he has to amputate it, do you see that as a possibility?
The writers of the tv show have said in interviews that they are not going to have Rick's hand cut off because it's annoying to have to edit it out of every scene. And the creator of The Walking Dead Robert Kirkman says he regrets having Rick's hand get cut off in the comics because it limits things Rick can do in the story.
PlasmaBoom thank you! I thought Rick loosing his hand was a pretty ridiculous decision. I was freaking out last episode thinking he was gonna loose it for sure .
Oooh! Smokey And The Bandit truck. :)
all ready 1 minute out and
200 views dang you guys are successful.
Rick needs to have a sit down with Rosita and set her straight.
You sure you don't want any clothes that are not monochromatic? Have fun at your midnight showing of Blade 2.
When you're done Avatar the last airbender, react to Korra
Yeah Doritos yes
Yeah Doritos yes please! The action in korra is so good... and the story is okay too I guess...
yes
Yeah Doritos .-.
YES! Korra is amazing!
tomorrow episode 11, be there!
Carol's standpoint is not moral. It is visceral.
Its not so much that I have a problem with the dumpster brigade, as I do enjoy Mad Max-ish post apocalyptic tropes...
BUT when you realize its only been a couple years since the outbreak, then I find it hard to believe that groups like that would exist so soon.
Did no one else recognise the truck from "Smokey and the bandit"?
Julia 1883 what's wrong with somebody liking an episode that you didn't?
I don't really see a problem when other people like an episode you didn't? I enjoyed the episode to does that make me insane?
The Bernie Mac bit was too much. Jesus that had me laughing too hard.
It seems like recently everything the writers add into the show that was not in the comics is never very good. The Saviors whistling, the Tara solo episode stuff, these junkyard people, the current Carol story, etc.
Clearly killing is taking a toll on Carol and I don't blame her. if you killed as much as Carol, from slaughtering entire groups single handed, to putting down 10 year old girls, etc I'd bet you'd be singing different tunes.
you guys should start reactions to Legion
I know it's too early in terms of story line but how about this, does Jadis become Alpha and her Junkyard crew are actually the Whisperers?.... I am possibly getting wat ahead of myself there but there is something about them that just screams The Whisperers to me.
Morales coming back is a joke. You read comments on Trevschan2's videos and you will get it. Whenever there's some new character in Walking Dead, It's Morales.
I still believe it can happen. Not many characters have left the show and not come back. I really enjoyed his character also so I would love to see him back.
They can, but there will be already too many characters in upcoming seasons.
I miss the original group in a campfire eating
Mad Max Beyond Junkyardom
Baba would definitely like it.
I think Rosita is feeling guilty about Eugene and she's taking out on others.
I get it too why Daryl is doing it but I want carol to know now lol.
And the new group is definitely um interesting lol I want to know more about them actually.
c'com do some LEGION reactions.I have a feeling it will blow your mind.
I don't understand why people don't get Carol , she started off as a weak abused woman and then became a strong killer. Do you really think a little bit of that weak woman isn't still there? It's not like she's been killing people all her life. Obviously it's going to get to her. She adapted to the world she lives in but that doesn't mean she has completely changed.
why didn't rick use the pillow behind him to push the zombie away >..>
do y'all not like michonne or something? you skipped most of her scenes... yikes
+erioe eworie She didn't really have much to do in this episode and we only have 10 minutes we can use
thats true. sorry

People are still think Morales will come back huh? I've given up hope on a Morales return.
