    For some reason, I am very amused that a country boy doesn't like bees!🤣🤣
    Your Mum's new garden must be chock-a-block with stuff now!

      Haha, been stung a few too many times to like them Dee! Mum's new garden was busy before she even moved in - so you can imagine how chockers it is now!

    Thanks Chris, the end certainly is nigh, once the furniture and Caravan go tomorrow there really won't be a lot left, but then as you say it's always surprising quite how long the last tidy up can take ! I love the fact that your Mum wants to take a bin of cow manure with her, my Gran used to get us to collect up dried pats that she would then incorporate into her home made compost, old country ways !
    I've just discovered in the last week, that the Farm where my Grandfather was the Herd-manager at when I was young has been put forward for town development with nearly 1000 houses, a school and some commercial units etc, which is a bit sad as it's prime farmland in beautiful rolling countryside, I'm glad my Mum won't see it !

      Thanks Andy. Yes, some of the stuff mum is taking would be difficult for many to understand! I don't question her - I'm just "staff" 🤣🤣
      Yeah, it is sad when prime farmland becomes urban living - but I guess it's necessary!

    Getting there Chris, Just a few more trips to go. I have never known of a wheelbarrow collector until now! Your Mum must have a large garden to fit everything

    Red wheel i believe was to cut furrows on rows in the garden. It was pulled behind a tractor.

      It does have that kind of look to it, but no. Answers in the next video 👍😊

    The 1st mystery item: don't know what it was, but it looks like a pouring crucible holder. One person holds the single end and the other end is twisted to tip out the contents of whatever container is in the loop.
    Red wheel thing: no idea.
    Geared thingy: part of a seed spreader?

      Excellent work Rose. This one was for a calf, made from old harrows.

    Last two bits are from a planter. First one not sure what it’s repurposed from but I’m guessing it was used to hold sheep for treatment/castrating? 🤷🏻‍♂️

      Good effort Mike! The first is a calf yoke, the others are parts from a harvester & a binder. Full answers in the next video 😊👍

    Hello👋😊 Chris, I've joined recently and have been binge watching old episodes😊 May I ask about your parent's rock collection? I believe have heard you mention your father & mother when speaking of it. Whose passion was it? Did they collect rocks from there on the farm? Did your parents sell rocks? If you have covered this in another episode I've apparently missed it, I apologize. Thank you.

    • @TheUltimateRecycler
      @TheUltimateRecycler  20 дней назад +1

      Thanks Dudley! They both were interested in rocks and so joined a lapidary club when they were young and we used to go on field trips all over the state to collect! They also cut, polished and tumbled specimens but didn't really sell much! My job would have been a lot easier if they had! 😆

      @@TheUltimateRecycler Ha, ha!😅 My elderly Aunt & I laugh at a shared trait, neither of us can step onto stones without putting at least one of them into our pocket. One good rock can weigh trousers down, but the accumulated piles left on and around my desk are unmovable!😂🙃 I would be interested in your sharing some of your Mom & Dad's collection with us, if you're so inclined. Best to you & Christine.

    I have a feeling your mystery farmyard objects are only going to be spotted by fellow farmers...
    How much of the farm buildings were built by your family and how much existed before if any?

    • @TheUltimateRecycler
      @TheUltimateRecycler  20 дней назад +1

      Yes, very farm-oriented items Martin! There wasn't much at the farm when my grandfather moved out in the 1950s. The workshop was originally a single car garage with a generator shed (and has been extended significantly). The feed shed where the binder still is was a stable for Clydesdale horses - and again extended. There may have been a separate milking shed as well. Other than the house, I think that was it! All of the bigger sheds, including the barn were built by Dad and Grandpa!

      @@TheUltimateRecycler I'd be tempted to leave a recycled time capsule, somewhere to maybe be found one day... you like your bottles, this might be a good place to leave a message in a bottle... a bottle that'll be even more rare when found in 100 years.
