It's amazing how the parrots pick up sounds and imitate them I see this video is 11 years old. Mr. Boggie is a great bird and so smart. The woman in the background has a nice singing voice. Thanks for sharing this video!

How do you keep Boggie safe from your cat? My cats briefly caught 2 parakeets (separately) and killed each of them with a puncture wound by accident. The feline instinct to catch prey was too great, even though the cats were well fed. Wonderful video! 😁🐦💕🐺🐈🕊️
You have to be always attentive when they are at the same place. Have a spray water bottle, and if the bird stay on top its cage it's going to be fine. Place the cage where cats can't go up easily

I don’t think you mean «rite of passage», the bird isn’t going through a ceremony... But it sure may be showing hormonal behaviour... 😊🐦 Boggie is just sooo cute! It is amazing how she and other amazons imitate babies crying so perfectly!

And for other birds can see there in control and will bite and bite but clipping there wings can help them see there not in control and there temper cools down

Please please keep your cat at a safe distance from your bird! Predator and prey are never a wise mix even though they live together I see the cat is clearly showing more than a healthy interest in your bird! All it takes is a minute and this would be beyond tragic. What a beautiful bird. I hope you still have her/him and they’re healthy and happy 🙏🏻

ahh!! I think he needs a friend, another parrot! parrots r known for flying in flocks! she/he cries, too! he must be scared/stressed with the cat also! u sure need to keep an eye out over them! YES, pls don't clip it's wings, they r restricted enough, must be frightening for them. they need their natural freedom!
