Nice, Zambo! Was thinking about this set the other day, but I was picturing the minis. I took a quick sniff of most all at the boutique and was given these nice sprayers of Rimbaud and Dans Paris. Turns out that my time was worth it as I've become a big fan of the latter. Maybe, I'll put a small bottle on my wish list;))
Dans Paris is so unique! Do you get the cilantro note as well or is that just me? Dans Paris is not a love at first sniff for me, but feels like something that could become addictive over time...
Yes the packaging is very satisfying, both gritty and smooth at the same time…..so strange that a fluffy rice powder sends you immediately to white porcelain tiles. I get it-it’s the connection to powder after a shower-but that’s a few steps removed. You must be a good chess player. Or maybe that’s how smells and connections work, multi leveled. I’ll have to watch for that in the future. I’ll be curious to hear your take on Rimbaud, since that’s the only one I own. And finally what I’m most interested in-the book collection in the background. Everything is too blurry so I can’t make em out.
i can’t STAND chess! All those hierarchies… blech! I wore Rimbaud for my morning walk today, a perfect choice for that purpose. Fresh, calming, airy, with sort of clean, white musks. I got stronger-than-expected iris and white florals, and less-than-expected vanilla. Also something wine-y or metallic. It deserves a full wear. Right now, I’d say I don’t like it quite as much as the new Lavande 31 from you know where. That lavender goes in a more oily, green, yoga studio/ health food co-op/ southwestern sagebrush kind of direction. The Celines are all VERY nice but very dressed up feeling to me.
I will wear cologne franciase on my next trip to the med! you’re the best!
