Thanks for posting this video. I sure wish I had all your equipment. My biggest problem is getting the log to my sawmill. A tractor would make life easy but it's not an option in my suburban back yard. I love seeing the freshly milled lumber you got - congratulations!
Really do appreciate the time it takes to keep changing the camera position and set up. That and the editing that goes with it all. You make excellent videos considering that’s not what your real purpose is!! Keep up the good work 👍
Those are some awesome boards and your sawing skills are becoming spot on. Glad you realized that undercut on the tree was too deep and your notch was started higher than necessary. Didnt need that wide of notch. These would have help prevent that long heart splinter you pulled. Over all though great job seeing that wood in your house will be very satisfying.
I'm surprised you didn't see any pine bettle damage. I have the same species of pine in my back yard and when I moved in I had to treat my pine trees as well as my neighbor's in order to save them. I still lost one but I have six years of new growth on those remaining and am hoping that they will stand for a hundred years to come.
Ya that is some nice looking wood. Too bad it's not for sale. I could use a few board feet of it... Be safe out there nice video. !!!!! Thanks for sharing.,
Glad to see that you're having fun. A customer came by and picked up some lumber that hadn't been of the mill one hour when he got there. Anyway, as he was leaving he said "Have Fun." What else could I possibly do? I was sawing logs wasn't I? Just under 900 board feet of fun today. Ponderosa pine.
You need to make a arch shape hauler for the tail end of the log to keep from dragging the tail end of the log in the dirt, this will also make it easier to haul the log out of the brush.
I just came across your site today very interesting. I too own a 3000 although my is gas and has a loader. Hear in Wisconsin we need beet juice or other non freeze for tire ballast. Keep on doing it. 😊
The lt10 looks like a nice mill, do you find it difficult, as your cutting boards to get the mill to accurately give you 1 inch or 2 inch boards? It looks to me like you would have to sight down the blade, maybe even use a tape to set the cut height. Ergonomically is this difficult?
4 cuts and log was square . looks like there was a lot of waste. lots of tasks for bark planks great for holding Steele up . for spacers to dry your planks .Iadmire your strength doing it al yourself .
That s the perfect model sawmill sure wish I could affordability to own one ☝️. Good job 👍 Have plans for the house ? Sure would like u to do a video on that ???🤩🇺🇸👏🌽
look like you were using a regular tape measure on those logs if you were grabbing a log tape with a stinger nail might make ur life easier especially when measuring long logs
www.baileysonline.com/Forestry-Woodcutting/Tape-Measures-Log-Rules/Logger-Tape-Measures/Spencer-100-Logger-Tape-Model-900-with-Bailey-Nail.axd I love mine. Buy once, cry once.

Looks like you have the perfect set up! Everything clean and tidy!
Loved all the wood I saw today. Your are truly blessed to have such wood on your own land. The hundred year old tree was amazing too.

No need to apologise you’re not responsible for weather conditions, love watching your channel 🏴🏴🏴🏴
Jamie McKenzie Thanks for watching!

All those angles add a lot of time to the task. Most folks don't realize that. Nice job! The kiln looks good in the background too!
Yes they do! It’s worth it when the video comes out nice though.
fantastic camera angles.... makes the video very enjoyable.......great work !!
fieldagent59 is in the forest Thanks! I did some experimenting in this video. Glad you enjoyed it!

Great job on the video editing and camera angles. That log turned out some nice lumber.
Chris Cox Thanks Chris!
You sure do have a nice place and seem to have everything to work with
Tôi rất ấn tượng với việc làm việc của bạn.Tôi rất yêu thích nghề mộc. I am very impressed with your work. I love carpentry
And that's how's its done son, drop the tree... haul it out and no b/s. Thanks for sharin.

Darrel Carson There’s nothing quite like peeling boards off of a tree. Very rewarding work. Thanks for the support, Darrel!
nice job , felling and the clean-up
Excellent Video and beautiful lumber.
Dillons Woodworks Thanks Mike!

Donald Latimer I agree, that’d be a great addition. Thanks for watching!
Great job ,,from COSTA RICA 👍
Since you have a bacon board shed I will click the like button. :)

Thanks for watching! I've had several people mention beet juice. I had no idea. Thanks for sharing!
You have a beautiful place. Fantastic looking lumber. Gonna make some fine ….. something.
Nice job! Something to feed the new kiln!
I think you should learn to centre the pith. You will have less waste and will get more useable lumber from each log.
Wow that's some nice boards. Enjoy seeing the process from beginning to end. How will you dry?
Steve Hasebroock Solar kiln. Thanks for watching!

Sweet local you have there.
The three-point log skidder that you're using on the rear of your tractor, exactly what is it called and where can one exactly like it be purchased.
Overcast is good IMO the video is just fine and you're not frying!
wauhawk Thanks!
Nice job ! You do good work .
I am wondering , do you cut high stumps so that you and others will have someplace to sit while out in the woods?
That wasn't my intention, it's just how it worked out. But that is a nice idea.
4 cuts and log was square . looks like there was a lot of waste. lots of tasks for bark planks great for holding Steele up . for spacers to dry your planks .Iadmire your strength doing it al yourself .
Looks like you got end for dog from Joe 👍
By cutting live edge, can’t you get wider boards on the center and then trim off the edges?
This seems wasteful-?
So is there anything that you have to do with the boards prior to using them on walls or ceilings?
No, framing lumber can be used green, especially in an old house like this one.
very interesting video...appreciate it
A real nice mill design. What is the purchase price?
Do you collect the sawdust for anything in particular?
Beautiful timber
do you sharpen your own mill blades , or send them out to get sharpened
you just woke the bee's up
How do you stop Bears and other animals from destroying your hives?
Beautiful!! ❤️
Are you glad you had an lt10 first before your lt35? Do you miss it sometimes?
You might have me confused with another RUclipsr. I only have an LT10.
Perfect grain
Your boom pole is it home made or from a farm supply. It seems to be pretty strong..?
I think it’s homemade. It’s a hand me down.
How many 'trail cams' are you using? Seems like it would be unproductive to stop and move a camera much!
Foard Fow Just one! And yes, it does take some time...but I love seeing the final product! Thanks for watching!
I'm subbin that's forsure 😁👍
Emil Thanks!

Robert Patrene House project is going on right now. Unfortunately, if I tried to video it, I’d never get done! Thanks for watching!
what part of the state is that
👏👏👏
Awesome
Yep, Lobloly pine usually only grows for 75 years max. That one needed to come down. Nice lumber
nothing like a clena yard
look like you were using a regular tape measure on those logs if you were grabbing a log tape with a stinger nail might make ur life easier especially when measuring long logs
Damon Reuning I’ve seen folks on RUclips using those. Would love to have one. Thanks for watching!

kudos's for putting that up I was thinking of mentioning Baileys. I use 2 have a 66 flasher(log tape) but I don't think they sell that 66 anymore
Blades need sharping it was cutting crooked
Great camera placement I know u have cut hundreds of trees but you shouldn’t be out there by yourself
The chainsaw is powerful
Looks like appr. 7 or 800bd feet in that tree!
More like half that.........
10-4.
Adam Cartwright planted that tree with his brothers & father
like check.
U r cutting trees 🌳.. wht abt planting the same ... save nature ...
não sabe botar uma árvore ou chão pois deve-se cortar o mais rente ou chão ,,o taco da inclinação deve ser mais baixo ,,esse é muito grosso ok
No offence but it's a good thing you don't do this for a living. Luca
tree huggers gonna abhor this . so much triggered lol
8 minutes in and still haven't gotten to the point? Do you plan to drive around the whole farm? Who cares! I'm outta here.
Hey Gary, ever try fast forwarding to the point you want to see?
And where would that point be? 10 minutes in? 15 minutes in? 20 minutes in?
Gary, only you know that.
U didn't have to click it dummy
you stacked those concrete blocks wrong
wastegate Thanks for watching!
there is little strength when they are sideways
Good grief.
