Cheese And Potato Croquettes | Holiday Party Appetizer | Cheese Croquettes | Easy Party Starter
For the filling:
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup shredded carrots
½ cup finely chopped green pepper/capsicum
½ cup finely chopped onion
Salt as per taste
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tsp crushed red pepper
1 tsp black pepper powder
For the potato mixture:
2-3 large potatoes boiled and mashed
1 tsp salt
1 tsp crushed red pepper
1 tsp black pepper powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 ½ tbsp cornstarch
You will also need:
1 cup plain bread crumbs
Oil for deep frying
Mix all of the cheese mixture ingredients and set aside for a while.
Mix all of the potato mixture ingredients.
Apply oil to your palms and take a small portion of the potato mixture and flatten it.
Fill it with some of the cheese mixture tightly and close all sides making it into a ball.
Dip into the bread crumbs and make sure all sides are evenly coated.
Make a round shape. Make all the croquettes similarly and keep aside for 10 minutes for the bread crumbs to absorb all the moisture.
Deep fry in medium hot oil until golden turning once.
Drain the excess oil and have it with ketchup or as is.
