  • It snowed! I pick out my yarns (@3:00), begin warping up this monstrosity (@7:00), and try a lovely hem stitch (@20:00) for the first time!
Also ... about that SUPER twisty yarn from Matilda. Watch how it turned out! You may be surprised.

Every time I go to do a hem stitch,I have to figure it out all over again. I am enjoying this video very much.

Me too! I don't do it often enough to remember it. I need to weave more, but it has somehow gone down on my list of preferred activities.

I think I'm about 1/3 the way through now, Diana. I have a new project lined up for my loom, so now I am VERY eager to finish this one and get it off of there!

That shawl is going to be lovely when it is finished - nice colours! Like the hem stitch as it gives a lovely finish.

Warp floats are easy to fix.

Considering the difficulty you had spinning the yarn I think it looks quite nice. It has a little bit of a 'novelty' yarn effect. It looks like it could be used as warp since it was twisted so much. Looking forward to seeing your finished Tartan.

Thank you, Lori! I was also rather shocked by that twisty yarn. Spinning is always surprising!
