  • [Intermediate] Redo tutorial for how to fold the Mini Magic Ball (designed by Yuri and Katrin Shumakov - www.oriland.com ) using a new easier method that uses no tape or glue.
This video is dedicated to all of those who have been struggling to fold this beautiful and amazing Mini Magic Ball. If you are one of those people, please proceed with care -- make exact folds and don't rush; pause the video if you fall behind. Judging from the comments on my other Mini Magic Ball tutorial, about half of you had major trouble folding it. Hopefully, this time around, a much greater percentage of you will achieve success. If you are one of those who have already mastered this model, that's super!...Let's please be kind, supportive and encouraging in the comment section to those who are still struggling to fold it. Thanks!
In this tutorial I show how to fold it from a 4.25- inch X 11.5-inch rectangle which is simply half a sheet of letter-sized printer paper. It also works from half a sheet of A4 paper (I tried it!)... On the initial pleating sequence, you'll end up having to make one extra pleat to complete the fan, but it still happens to come out perfectly with an odd number of sections along the length, so you don't need to cut anything off.
It can also be folded from a US dollar bill (3X7 rectangle) and I have a separate tutorial for that: • $1 Dollar Mini Magic B...
This is the Mini Magic Ball, but I have another tutorial for the full original Magic Ball here: • Origami Magic Ball - N...
The Magic Ball and related designs were published in the book "Origami Magic Ball Wonders" available on Amazon: www.amazon.com/dp/1505835054 or the digital version: www.oriland.com/store/ebooks/main.php Upon purchasing this book I now see that it contains a method for folding the Mini Magic Ball without tape (dating back to 1996!), but my method is different in at least two ways:
    1. The folds in my method are made from a different angle which saves the folder from having to reverse dozens of creases
    2. The final lock uses a one-unit overlap instead of two which is a little more efficient in its use of paper.
I wish you good luck and good skill in following this tutorial, and more importantly..... HAVE A BALL!!! (...and not a crumpled one!)
Here's the link for where to buy the paper cutting tool I showed in the intro:

Hi friends! This is my fifth and FINAL Magic Ball - related tutorial! I have many new models that I want to refine and teach and I'm sure many more that I have yet to design. I always enjoy hearing your ideas for what new models you would like me to try to design. Cheers!

jeremy make a tutorial of flasher bigbang cause origamists nowadays can fold almost all of your origami so making a tutorial of
    flasher bigbang will do good
