Logan is more of a father to those kids than Kody. Who made sure to visit Ysabel after her surgery? Logan. Who makes it to every single wedding or major life event? Logan. And it seems like he wants nothing to do with the fame. I hope he's okay. He had it pretty rough.

The way Christine interacted with the little child asking “why did you and dad break up” was just so kind, you can tell she’s great with kids, I’m glad she got to spend so much time with the kids as they grew up, seems like she’d be great at it
Also, that little girl was so funny. When she snuck in another "HAVE DATES!" The tone of her voice. She's like a little postivity goblin😭I hope she doesn't live like this when she grows up.
I’m glad you mentioned this. The proof is right there that these religions are about power and sex and keeping that cycle going. There is no way that all these kids are getting what they need to really thrive without the power wheel.
fr lol and its also funny bc the way he said he "wasted" all those years trying to love her (uh, what?) just drove the point in. like ofc they dont wanna be with him. and he's too full of himself to see anything wrong. he constantly projects all the emotional abuse he puts out as if theyre the ones doing it
@Brittney Brisbin oh my god thank you SO MUCH this clip has been driving me bonkers for so long trying to figure out what it reminded me of and its that!!!!!
Kody is like the Mormon version of Henry VIII. Divorced beheaded died? More like 4 spiritual marriages, 2 legal marriages, and the emotional breakdown of 3 marriages and even more lives.
I always thought the ladies' support of the LGBTQ community was so sweet. Meri saying 'I don't always get the lingo right, but you're safe with me,' is so lovely. And Christine saying in an episode, 'if we want people to support our lifestyle, why wouldn't we support other people trying to do the same?' I actually thought it was quite sad that Cody was Cody. Just on a level, there's nothing wrong with polygamy or ~alternative lifestyles~ as long as everyone is a consenting adult. I thought there were moments in the show that were actually quite nice, and celebrated people living outside the norm.
The fact that Jannelle's respoce was and I'm praphazing here "oh honey I thought you had cancer. Thats all okay I love you I'm just glad your okay" Says a lot about her values.
I don't know if polygamy specifically as polygamy can really ever be divorced from the sexist attitudes of communities that took it up - polygamy being specifically one man, many wives as the only way to have plural marriage. Polyamory, aka whatever gender configuration doing plural relationships in whatever ways work for the people involved, I feel much better about actually being tenable as good relationships. A polycule could be one guy and several women, but the important thing is that those women are also free to pursue other relationships, etc
@@askerror1987 I'm really sorry. I don't understand why it's so hard for people to let go of a false image they had of someone and just love them as they truly are.

No no, he juuuust married Robin to be able to legally recognize her kids or whatever. That's totally why, and not because Robin wanted to feel special! /s
I can't remember if Jen said this or if I saw it anywhere else, but it is very funny that Kody's wives have kind of unionized against him. And now that the kids are a lot older, seems like they're joining. And good for them!
Yeah, I've always been interested in this show, but could never watch it regularly because I can't even stand to look at him. I'm delighted Christine and Janelle are getting their own show.
That scene with Logan makes me so angry! “He just came super responsible” “takes responsibility very seriously.” NO! He saw that he if didn’t get up and feed his siblings, nobody else would! If they were really a family like they claimed. It would be the responsibility of all the adults to care for all the kids!
(TW/CW, graphic descriptions of pain) I honestly do not know how much the general population knows about scoliosis surgery/spinal fusion surgery, but since I had never even heard of it before I had it two years ago, I will share how big of a deal it is that Cody wasn’t there by Ysabel’s side and instead went to a friend’s wedding. It was legitimately the hardest, most painful, long and immobilizing thing that I have ever been through in my life. I couldn’t walk or use the bathroom for a week afterwards, I couldn’t even flip on my side in the hospital bed without my dads help. Even being sat upright in a wheelchair to get me into the car to go home was worse than any pain I had ever experienced before. The medicine I had to take tasted so foul I threw up a couple of times while drinking it. Ik that if you didn’t know what the procedure was, you might think it wasn’t that bad that Cody left Ysabel to officiate a wedding, since maybe he might have already promised to do so, but please hear me when I say that Cody leaving 19-year-old Ysabel during that time is one of the most malicious acts I have ever heard of. These surgeries are planned months to years in advance, and are debated highly among parents and surgeons if it is necessary to take place since the process is so painful and risks paralyzation, which meant Cody fucking knew for MONTHS that he was abandoning his child in perhaps one of the worst, most dangerous moments of her life, and that honestly makes me fucking sick to my stomach. FUCK YOU, CODY.
I'm so sorry you had to experience that. 🌻 When I saw this I wondered if it was a bit of a passive FU on Kody's part. I remember seeing an episode of Sister Wives where they discussed Ysabel's scoliosis and that, instead of surgery, they had decided to do exercise. I get the feeling Kody never wanted Ysabel to get the surgery, on top of him being a horrible person all round.
@@n.v.beeeee2149 ugh that is so disgusting but totally does not surprise me. Ik that we shouldn’t judge someone just based off of what we see on tv but Kody is one of the most soulless human beings I’ve ever seen on reality tv.
Someone else who had a spinal fusion here and that is purely evil that he wasn't there. I had mine during the height of COVID and it killed me to have to limit who come visit me. For someone to just choose to not be there for their kid is terrible.
I’m so glad you commented this because I feel like his terrible parenting is often overlooked because his terrible husbanding is so obvious, but it is soooo obvious that he does not care about the majority of his kids.
Paedon is mini Cody. In one interview I saw of him, he said respect and obedience from women are more important to him than love. Somebody even called him out & gave him a chance to walk it back, yet he didn't. I worry about the damage he's going to do in his life. He's also super homophobic. The shit he says about his two LGBTQ siblings is fucking awful & then he goes "statistically" there can't be just one who's "gay like [refuses to use Leon's proper name]." And says "isn't it a coincidence" the one who "is gay" ended up being the child of the abusive mother. As if it is somehow caused by having a shitty mother.
Paedon's statement is really ironic considering his constant and continuous physical and mental abuse of his sister Gwen(dolyn). By his own logic it's therefore his own fault that Gwen is gay married now. xD I guess Bea (Gwen's wife) really owes him then, lmao.
The fact that Kody saw Christin being happy for Janelle's camper like yeah maybe she doesn't like it but that doesn't come off as teasing it comes off as "I'm choosing to be supportive
at the first Women's March in DC (January 2017), Meri, Janelle, and a couple of their children (I think including Leon) walked right past me and my mom and I remember her being so shocked!
The best part of sister wives is seeing Cody flail around like a man-baby whenever one of his wives leave him. You can tell these women have been saying, "you don't have time for me, you don't pay attention to me, you gave me nothing so I learned to live without you" like 100x each before this. We get to see this moment of him going "But wahhhhhh" and them just staring at him like he's a toddler screaming about breaking their own toy. There's just nothing left there, just questioning what they ever saw in him in the first place. I'm also glad that Robin with her "I came into this marriage of uglies and I was PRETTY" attitude is stuck being the only wife now. Now SHE has to deal with him.
Is it weird for me to say I feel like this had a happy ending…? I feel like everyone is finding themselves, recovering,….its the best way things could have gone in a bad set of circumstances. I’m so happy for them❤️
Really feels like in a movie, the villains get stuck with each other at the end and everyone else can have a happy ending 😂 (from someone who's never watched an episode of this in their life and is simply going off of this video about it)
Well, Meri, Janelle and Christine are doing much better, but Kody and Robyn aren't. Also the kids are much better off away from Kody. He's very unstable and potentially dangerous.
Right?! I'm just as fair, but more yellow/warm toned, and dont think i could carry it off. Currently just going gray and not hating it - ashy light brown hair is a good compliment
Never really watched Sister Wives, loving your coverage, though. Wow, Robyn really said (without saying), "when I entered the family, I saw I was the thinnest/ most attractive." 😑
She said the other women had stretchmarks like it was a personal insult to Kody. But they had stretchmarks because of having Kody's babies. Robin is acting like the other wives went out and bought stretchmarks just to spite him, lol
The kinfe in the kidney scene made me think that a) Koday will never be an actor, that was so badly performed and b) dude, you are the last person to talk about kidneys considering you nearly killed Truly by neglectding her and she went into kidney failure.

i’m really sick of people calling every bad person they see a narcissist. there’s no way you can diagnose someone with something as complex as NPD over tv appearances. labeling assholes, cult leaders, and other abusers as narcissists, which directly translates to you saying they have NPD, perpetuates the massive amounts of stigma people dxed with NPD deal with. people with NPD, or with any other cluster B personality disorder like ASPD, are not inherently bad people NOR significantly more likely to be abusive or harmful compared to….. literally any other mental disorder. ofc there’s a potential for them to be abusive, but people with NPD are more often than not victims of abuse rather than the ones who are abusive. it is very harmful to dx someone you don’t even know through what you see in a heavily-edited reality show JUST because they’re a selfish asshole. i’m not mad at you, i’m just trying to educate because i see this narrative pushed so often when people with NPD are people who have struggles and deserved to be humanized and respected
@@wooogie672 while I understand where you’re coming from the term narcissist is a blanket term and can be used for people who have narcissistic qualities or habits and is completely independent of the medical term NPD. Saying someone is a narcissist is not the same thing as diagnosing them with NPD. Only a mental health professional can do that and that’s only if the person comes in for sessions, which due to the nature of narcissism is basically a non starter. Also I think you’d have to be blind to not recognise that Kody possesses some hard core narcissistic tendencies. As Dr. Ramani said you can’t diagnose someone for being a jerk but using the term narcissist as a description of someone’s personality isn’t diagnosing them. Edit: also someone I love went through horrific narcissistic abuse so while I understand that they are humans etc. I’m not buying the whole they’re more likely to be victims narrative. It’s just not true.
I'm sorry, the idea that someone with limited or no empathy is less likely to be an abuser is ridiculous. Now, they are still human, and they can't help the way they are, but that statement will only cause more people with NPD and ASPD to be abusive. My mother has a cluster b disorder. I forgive her abuse because she can't help the way she is, but that doesn't make her abuse okay. What a load of gaslighting bullshit.

I love this. My parents were swingers, and showed me sister wives as sort of a way to normalize it when I was younger. Things fell apart even worse that in SW, so it’s almost gratifying to watch things fall apart on their end. And I will forever have a mental connection to the show and family

Cody reminds me of one of my uncles whose on his 5th or 6th marriage. I lost count. He finds women online, charms & love bombs them for a few weeks/months then marries them. Then the real monster comes out & he becomes abusive. And every time a relationship fails it’s ALWAYS the woman’s fault.
1. How is it that Jim Bob and Michelle made a fortune on TLC but Kody et al are broke? 2. And Paedon is just a chip off the old block, he's JUST like Kody!
As someone who had scoliosis surgery as a teenager, I know how scary it can be for a kid and how much you’d want your family there. It’s a long surgery and you’re usually in the hospital for a few days. And then you have to relearn basic things like getting up from a laying position. It would be one thing if Kody was watching the rest of kids at home because Christine was at the hospital with her daughter. But he clearly wasn’t.
I can’t lie, hearing their voices sound like children makes the show so much more entertaining 😂 I’ve been following the drama closely, so I’m glad you decided to do this video!!
You can really tell that Cody use to have these women under his spell through the most traditional abusive cycle. His body language during arguments used to signal the women to 'not protesth' but once they realized their worth, the power with each other, they gained the courage to leave. When the women watch him throw tantrums now, you can see the disgust with how they know he is trying to get them back under his control.
20 seconds in, but if my husband thought it was funny to joke about not wanting to be married on national television, I would make it SUPER easy for him to get his wish. He’d have paperwork within the day.
Yeah, I've always hated "jokes" like that, if you don't wanna be with me, if I'm a burden to you, so much so that you told *the entire nation* ...yeah, it's over
Not surprised to hear that Mari hit some of the kids. She seems to be the kind of passive aggressive person with a deep well of anger. I'm honestly not surprised their whole dynamic was a sham. Mormans tend to put up this front that they're happy and kind at all times.
Vegas cul-de-sac honestly sounds like a dream to me. I miss my family a lot, but we can't live all together and it makes me wonder if this would work for us. Also imagine having your little queer commune living in a place like this 🥺 S mostly just daydreaming ofc, but the fact that they could have it and abounded it is very sad
Depending on the financial structure, Meri could also have insisted on a bigger home to protect herself financially. Like, whose names were on those deeds? The wife that lived in the house and Kody? But they collectively paid for everything? Yeah, I'd want an equal share in that equity (And her share wouldn't be equal if her house is much smaller).

Logan is more of a father to those kids than Kody. Who made sure to visit Ysabel after her surgery? Logan. Who makes it to every single wedding or major life event? Logan. And it seems like he wants nothing to do with the fame. I hope he's okay. He had it pretty rough.
he recently married! from photos alone he looks pretty happy and in love ^_^

I love ❤ this comment 😂!!!
Right!! Alternative life styles need to stick together.
Is Payton Christine's son or Janelles
Kody saying “manosphere” is the thing that’s finally forced me to stop and take a break

Can the show really call itself Sister Wives if the man no longer has the wives in question?
Real Housewives franchise has very few marriages now so there's that.
They could rename it to Kody Cries.
They take Kody out of the series and just focus on the Ex-Wives.
TBH probably an objectively better decision since, wow, Kody is going downhill FAST
Sister (ex) Wives
What is the technical term? I think they’re connected forever now

I can't remember if Jen said this or if I saw it anywhere else, but it is very funny that Kody's wives have kind of unionized against him. And now that the kids are a lot older, seems like they're joining. And good for them!
Satisfying really haha. He’s awful
When I saw this I wondered if it was a bit of a passive FU on Kody's part.

As if it is somehow caused by having a shitty mother.
he’s gonna get outed as a Josh Duggar type i’m SURE
Paedon's statement is really ironic considering his constant and continuous physical and mental abuse of his sister Gwen(dolyn). By his own logic it's therefore his own fault that Gwen is gay married now. xD I guess Bea (Gwen's wife) really owes him then, lmao.

Watching Christine leave and her whole journey this latest season was so satisfying and ultimately wholesome.
at the first Women's March in DC (January 2017), Meri, Janelle, and a couple of their children (I think including Leon) walked right past me and my mom and I remember her being so shocked!

I saw some video where Christine said she’s not a part of the Mormon church and that she is agnostic. My mind was absolutely blown!

Let's not forget how Mykelti revealed that she was parent-ified as Robyn's live-in nanny
‘Knife to the kidneys’ Robin is being all teary eyed and Christine I am absolutely convinced rolled her eyes at him.
One positive thing I’ve gotten from Sister Wives is how amazing of a mother Christine is and I’m so happy she’s finally happy.

I know you can’t arm chair diagnose but kody is the best example of a malignant narcissist I’ve ever seen on reality tv.
i’m really sick of people calling every bad person they see a narcissist. there’s no way you can diagnose someone with something as complex as NPD over tv appearances. labeling assholes, cult leaders, and other abusers as narcissists, which directly translates to you saying they have NPD, perpetuates the massive amounts of stigma people dxed with NPD deal with. people with NPD, or with any other cluster B personality disorder like ASPD, are not inherently bad people NOR significantly more likely to be abusive or harmful compared to….. literally any other mental disorder. ofc there’s a potential for them to be abusive, but people with NPD are more often than not victims of abuse rather than the ones who are abusive. it is very harmful to dx someone you don’t even know through what you see in a heavily-edited reality show JUST because they’re a selfish asshole. i’m not mad at you, i’m just trying to educate because i see this narrative pushed so often when people with NPD are people who have struggles and deserved to be humanized and respected
@@wooogie672 you can be an asshole with NPD, and you can be a nice person with NPD.
honestly dude I agree
I'm sorry, the idea that someone with limited or no empathy is less likely to be an abuser is ridiculous. Now, they are still human, and they can't help the way they are, but that statement will only cause more people with NPD and ASPD to be abusive. My mother has a cluster b disorder. I forgive her abuse because she can't help the way she is, but that doesn't make her abuse okay. What a load of gaslighting bullshit.

Watching the replay at work and I literally LOLed at my desk with the change of voice for Kody during the interview and then Kody and Robin😂🤣
I can’t lie, hearing their voices sound like children makes the show so much more entertaining 😂 I’ve been following the drama closely, so I’m glad you decided to do this video!!
Robyn's comment about Christine, "She gets to stay home", pissed me off. Like she's just sitting around eating bonbons all day.
Exactly! Robyn could see that Christine and kody had a connection, and Robyn wasn't having any of that.

She really is gorgeous. I freaking adore her.
Not surprised to hear that Mari hit some of the kids. She seems to be the kind of passive aggressive person with a deep well of anger. I'm honestly not surprised their whole dynamic was a sham. Mormans tend to put up this front that they're happy and kind at all times.
Oh yay! I was really hoping Janelle and Christine would still be friends and have each other
I thought they were?
the montage of unhinged Kody lines at the end is perfection. also hell yes a Christine/Janelle spinoff!

Yes. Meri did a great job of protecting herself… it was difficult to see at the time and now it’s clear.
