It is said Guru Dattatreya ji point is claimed from Jain, if you see there you can find footsteps mentioned as Jain but not allowed now, by local people now.

The ambaji temple is located at the height of around 3300ft (around 5000 steps) which is half of the whole girnar yatra. there is another 'tunk'(chhoti pahadi) where 'guru dattatreya charan paduka mandir' is located. For that one has to descend and then climb again 5000 steps.
but this beauty of girnar walking trip of [AMBAJI MA TEMPLE AND GURU DATATREYA] IS AMAZING EXPERIENCE IN WINTER AND MONSOON TIME AND IN MORNING OH MY GOD. PLEASE VISIT JUNAGADH.

It is still halfway from the ropeway! you'll have to use steps to reach Guru Gorakhnath which is about 5000 steps away from ambaji temple.

During my younger days I climbed upto Dattatreya and after returning we had two days rest with painful legs. We enjoyed our trip.
We climbed girnar during school trip 4decades ago loved those food

Correction: Ropeway will take you till Ambaji temple - around 4850 steps. One has to further climb 5150 steps to reach Dattatrayji shikhar.
