This sound made me anxious, because I knew that while I was listening to it, my chances of dying increased several times...
The thing i liked about the sanity in this game is not just because it’s a player effect, the sounds effect the player in real life (you could go a bit insane from this)
Something neat about a handful of the assorted sounds is that you can hear the nightmare phase in the ruins and even the ancient gateway charging up after you defeat the fuelweaver... which means Klei planned quite a bit ahead.

(They can kill the terrorbeak to regain sanity and obtain nightmare fuel)
This is easily the creepiest and best low sanity ambience in any game.
i think eternal darkness ambience is creeper imo
