- Ranking and reviewing the 7 different spiders of Don't Starve Together based on both their combat ability and how easy it is to obtain them.
Sorry it doesn't include the upcoming water spider. I'll probably make an updated tier list video when it comes out.
I try my best to use facts in order to back up my case, but ultimately this tier list is opinion based on my experience with Webber and the game overall.

warrior and dweller attack speed is rng, it's not dependent on any factors and can be between 4 and 6 seconds
Nuts, literally every time I tested it while making this video, they would attack slowest during the day and fastest any other time.
Guess I just got really unlucky (or lucky).
No it's not. It's exactly 5 seconds for an attack. The attack animation that takes about a second bleeds into the attack cool down timer making it effectively 5 seconds.

personally, id put warriors at s tier, because alongside all you said, their ability to prolong spider wars is hugely understated. trying to get a bunch of standard spiders to fight each other is a chore-their low health and potential to be stunlocked makes infighting end quickly, as the offending spider will be wiped out before additional spiders can aggro on its attackers-but with the extra health and inability to be stunlocked, spider warriors will make wars go on for almost twice as long. switcherdoodles take monster meat and silk, and warriors are essential to getting them en masse
it’s so nice to finally see a tier list through a utilitarian perspective rather than an opinionated one
For the shattered spider, if you get far enough. When you battle the celestial champion the snare attack drops tons of glass shards. I got 7 stacks from my fight. Makes it easier to craft bit idk if its even worth it at that point
but it is the end game boss though...

Dude this is quality thx for this good info, I recently Started a solo Webber world am was honestly shock on how op the nurse spiders are, I don't think I've made any healing except healing salves. Great video btw
imagine a very silly synnergy with wigfrid and webber where Wigfrid will assist webber in defending and buffing him and his spider crewmates, but in return Webber needs to sacrifice a few of his friends just to keep Wigfrid fed
Monster meat is harmful for non webbers

You can survive on monster diet
Use monster jerky, lasts longer and doesn't hurt you as much
I would put the normal spider in A tier. You can recrute them about as much as your computer can allow it and at this point, hp doesn't matter. If one falls another one takes its place.

Ah, this was just what I needed. I recently booted up a Webber world, and I was going to start befriending spiders, and carry them around or make switcherdoodles when I wondered what I should have quite an army of to pair with nurse spiders. Of course, while there's the new ocean spider (which I haven't looked into), this has told me about all I need to know. Now I can have fun massacring the ruins with dangling depth dwellers.
You should have waited for the update the waterlogged biome spider you missed in the category
only use i found is on crabking if you want kill malbatros use minimum of 3 splitters and 2 nurse

The op strider guide
The best team I ever made was 5 healers with 10-13 spitters. You can have 5 slots for necessary itens and carry ALL your spiders for everywhere and your army is pretty much invencible against almost every mob/boss
1 fact why did klei not add when we eat a kind of switcher doodle I turn to that spider?

I'd say a regular spider should be higher due to the accessibility u can feed more spider doodals 2 the spiders but u may argue u can do it with any spider but why would I do that in the first place
Fun fact: If you use webby whistle, alied spider won't eat meat that is on the ground
Is there something special with the timing? Every time I do it, it is always a half second too late.
Ghost hunt spam tier 3 can force a spider queen out quicker

Aren't they just fancy looking normal spiders that walk on water tho? Only practical reason to get them is to cheese crab king
Also this video is probably made before the update. Uploaded and made(edited, voice over, etc) is different
@@karolfortuna8522 they have double the hp of normal spider and don't eat meat from the ground it seems(might be a bug).
but they're pretty expensive

The easiest crab king kill is made possible by striders. B tier for that at least
I normally don't care how much damage the spiders deal, as long as they draw aggro and tank for me to spam attack, they are good spiders, and nurse ones are unmatched
I would put the normal spider into S tier. Easily the most OP spider. And I won't count only the bissfights. Against hounds, bees, other spiders, civil wars, they are the most efficient and if we count that a swithcherdoodle costs at least 1 monster meat, I would choose 10 spiders instead of 2 spider warriors unless I'm playing against a boss. They are always avaliable and they grants an emergency food support.

Where sea strider
my favourite thing to do is rush to the labyrinth, get an insane army, clear the ruins, then lock all the spiders in a box at base. Then, I make about 2/3 spitters and the rest nurses. You can also make some striders for crab king. It’s insanely fun.
Is there something you can do about spiders pushing you around non stop once the size gets large enough? It makes it impossible to even go through even chest as the pushing is pretty constant. I really want to realize the commander of the army style but this gets in the way.

Spitter army? They are damn expensive! How are you sure it's woth it for a bossfight?

Friendly spiders attacking the same target as abigail, do the spiders also get the damage buff from the petals? Or is that a player specific buff?
If i m correct wendy gets 40% damage buff from petals and everything else gets 10% damage buff.

@@Ineverlost_control mandrakes are renewable but not very reliably, through klaus loot stash pool and through winter's feast tree fully decorated item pool as pan flute.
@@flarezen8142 for me there's nothing like renewable mandrake. Only renewable dead mandrakes. What's the point if i can't hear their cheerfull meep? ;-;
@@karolfortuna8522 I wish that using deconstruction staff on a pan flute would give you a planted mandrake like in singleplayer instead of a dead one. since they make good decor when planted

oh here in this video you talking about availability and combat ability and you say you cant take just combat ability for your tier list. you say in dont starve the efficiency is the most important... and that my friend is exactly what i meant is the problem with your "fastest deerclops kill" video. wigfrid beats evry char in term of efficiency and tahts why shes the best in evrything. she can even challenge woodie and maxwell in chopping cause chopping you do in the forrests where you have a lot of spiders and wigfrid can easily survive forever from eating monster meat also she can kill much faster and easier treeguards which makes her the minimum 3. best chopper in the game. she can beat maxwell and woodie for some time in chopping but on the long run they will get more logs
