I feel like with the deerclops, one because the tree’s leaves are gone, but also because that was really the only known boss when RoG came out, so it’s really the only one that we can see clearly, while the others are covered in shadow due to our small knowledge of them at the time of release... maybe I’m reading too far into this...

You must have a lot of experience in the game if you can BASE your survival on someting else. If that's the case then I believe you could use the moonBASE for the special moonstone event? I noticed a few people pointing out how deer-clops isn't really hidden, and I actually really like that. Deer-clops got a warning ahead of time, with characters pointing it out, like with the hounds. While the other ones, even if they may shake the screen, seem unexpected, and you're not waiting all of night for it to show up.
i just realized, in the Autumn promotional image, Bearger is hiding behind the trees on the left corner, stalking Wilson as he cooks a fish, but: Bearger only appears in your second autumn, him stalking Wilson implies Wilson is *already on his second autumn,* dude's already spent over 70 days in The Constant and he haven't got a base yet

i really appreciate the time and effort Klei puts into making their music, i think Winter and Spring are my favourite themes as Winter sounds absolutely hopeless, and Spring is jazzy and upbeat. although Summer is great and Autumn is super iconic. i have the picture for Spring as my wallpaper, Wilson just looks really pretty in that one.

I adore the fact that the soundtracks represent their respective seasons nearly perfectly. The autumn track is the calmest, giving you a feeling of coziness. The spring theme is very cheerful, highlighting the way the nature around you is coming back to life after the dreaded winter. Meanwhile the themes of summer and winter have that melancholic sound, giving you a feeling of hopelessness which is further expanded by how unforgiving these two seasons are.

Don't get me wrong, DST is a great game, and a great change for the game, but there is something magical on the old Don't Starve, that feeling of loneliness and mystery that is kind of lost in DST. I will miss that.
It's a sign of the evolved state of the game. In the past, the whole point of Don't Starve was that the game was designed to punish you for trying new things or pushing boundaries, and yet that was the most fun part of the game: to venture into the unknown and live through it all. However, people found ways to succeed, and before long, the basic challenges of dealing with hounds, keeping up with stats, and dealing with the seasonal hazards were no longer threatening to players. I don't think it was the game no longer being bleak and extremely punishing that changed the way you felt about the games. It was simply that you learned to adapt, and you stopped being afraid of the unknown. With guides and wikis to help you through anything and teach you about the game, that was where the magic must have been lost in the game. I really like the direction Don't Starve Together is moving towards though. I think it's symbolic that the game is not merely just about being scared of everything and struggling to survive. Now, with everything that has been added, it's all about finding your own goals and devising your own way of making towards that goal. In a way, nothing has changed about what the developers intended for the players to do: make your own way through the game with no handholding. Instead, it's the sentimentality that has changed for the players. And I think that's just fine at the end of the day.

Autumn is very calm but what I don't like is the Bearger. I don't like winter at all because I freeze very quickly and the thermal stone lasts very little (and the deerclops, although it is very easy, it is annoying to leave your base to face it) OH I HATE MAC TUSK I LOVE spring because I don't freeze fast but there is something I hate more than anything... But I think Spring is sort of the most punishing season. It's like a trick to make you think you made it into a safe season, and yet the environmental hazards of the season are off the charts. Good luck getting your base ready for Summer when it rains frogs twice in a row, and a Moose/Goose just nested beside your base (it's also still freezing temperatures for the first 6 days unless you have 100% rain protection).

Winter always made me feel as if I were on the brink of freezing to death. Like there was a hint of despair and dread as I watch the days crawl by. Idk why but I like it.

Summer has a nice bounce to it, it also makes me feel like something is smoldering and I can’t see it.

It makes me feel as if I’ve just started out. It doesn’t have a lot of umph to it, so it’s last.

Don't get me wrong, DST is a great game, and a great change for the game, but there is something magical on the old Don't Starve, that feeling of loneliness and mystery that is kind of lost in DST. I will miss that.

It's a sign of the evolved state of the game. In the past, the whole point of Don't Starve was that the game was designed to punish you for trying new things or pushing boundaries, and yet that was the most fun part of the game: to venture into the unknown and live through it all. However, people found ways to succeed, and before long, the basic challenges of dealing with hounds, keeping up with stats, and dealing with the seasonal hazards were no longer threatening to players.
I don't think it was the game no longer being bleak and extremely punishing that changed the way you felt about the games. It was simply that you learned to adapt, and you stopped being afraid of the unknown. With guides and wikis to help you through anything and teach you about the game, that was where the magic must have been lost in the game.
I really like the direction Don't Starve Together is moving towards though. I think it's symbolic that the game is not merely just about being scared of everything and struggling to survive. Now, with everything that has been added, it's all about finding your own goals and devising your own way of making towards that goal. In a way, nothing has changed about what the developers intended for the players to do: make your own way through the game with no handholding. Instead, it's the sentimentality that has changed for the players. And I think that's just fine at the end of the day.

Autumn is very calm but what I don't like is the Bearger. I don't like winter at all because I freeze very quickly and the thermal stone lasts very little (and the deerclops, although it is very easy, it is annoying to leave your base to face it) OH I HATE MAC TUSK
I LOVE spring because I don't freeze fast but there is something I hate more than anything... THE DAMN, STUPID, FILTHY AND HATEFUL RAINS OF FROGS BESIDES THE FROGS ARE EXTREMELY AGGRESSIVE

But I think Spring is sort of the most punishing season. It's like a trick to make you think you made it into a safe season, and yet the environmental hazards of the season are off the charts. Good luck getting your base ready for Summer when it rains frogs twice in a row, and a Moose/Goose just nested beside your base (it's also still freezing temperatures for the first 6 days unless you have 100% rain protection).

Summer is the worst by far. Wild fires, overheat, less food and for the love of god you DON'T WANT TO FIGHT in this season. It's even worse when hounds appear, those things have burnt several times my base. And don't make me talk about the freaking Dragonfly!!
