Amy, the Le Parfum for me was the one. That honey does come out in the dry down. I can imagine this in the cold weather will definitely be absolutely, stunning !
Hi Amy, I got the travel size of this one right away. I love how it lingers and makes a comeback for several hours after spraying on my skin. This was a pleasant surprise for me. I'm layering this new one with my bottle of libre intense, and I'm liking it alot. I like stronger scents, so this works well.
BTW I love this look, you look so autumn and chic~ I reaaaaaally love this flanker, I smelt it in store the other day. I have two decant samples of the intense and edt, as I do enjoy the scent of libre but the lavender is just too loud and strong for me. The intense was nice when it was winter, but still a lot of lavender. I really like this flanker and be picking up a travel spray until a cute 30ml is available. Those bottles are so beautiful and I really want one in my collection.
Great review! The dry down is what I love & look forward to most about the EDP. The Intense was a bit too sweet for me so I skipped on purchasing it. The Le Parfum is perfect and what I wanted the Intense to be. The ginger, saffron, & honey are excellent additions.
I didn’t like the OG…I can tolerate the Intense, but I don’t love it. My fave is the EDT..is beautiful with less lavender and tea so it’s fresher. I’m looking forward to testing this one to replace the Intense.
I just purchased Libre Le Parfum last week and I love it as an Autumn fragrance. I can understand how some of these darker/warmer scents would be difficult to wear in warmer climates. I am always looking out for fragrances outside of the typical "mens" category and this one is perfect ! ✌❤
I subscribed after watching 3 or 4 videos. I just want to say you are REALLY good at this. You have a high fragrance IQ. Not only can you visualize the evolution of the fragrance from spray to finish, but you understand and can clearly explain the mechanics behind why a fragrance does what it does. There are not many people who do this well or accurately. As someone who works in the industry close to the R&D capacity, I am VERY impressed with you. In many instances you are better than some people I work with. A perfume house should hire you. You would bring a lot of value with your technical analysis combined with your understanding of how people generally respond to certain aspects of a fragrance. I also believe you would be able to predict how successful or unsuccessful a new fragrance would be in the market.
I absolutely love the intense version, but I don’t own any flankers yet. Now I’ll have to smell this newest one. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about this fragrance 🌹

I was at Macy’s about a week ago and got a chance to smell it and I thought it just had enough of new notes to get a travel size. Unfortunately they did not have a travel size at Macy and when I went home and looked on Sephora it was sold out but they did have it on Ulta so I am excitingly awaiting my travel size from Ulta. I have the intense and I love it, ♥️I didn’t like the OG at all , for the same reason you mentioned . The intense dries down soft and marshmallowy on me . I think it will get even better the longer the vanilla sits and marinates with the other notes. I tried the la parfum and I liked it too but I didn’t want the spicy. I think I’ll get a travel size of that one 👌
After so much deliberating about this fragrance I finally decided I just had to try it which is strange because the other YSL Libres I really don't care for at all! Anyway I'm so glad I talked myself into it because this one well just WOW it's so beautiful feels much more feminine than the others. I'm going to go as far as to say I can very much see this becoming my signature scent.....at least for autumn/winter anyway and that coming from me is a very bold statement. I pretty much gave the same reaction as you Amy and was like yeah YSL you got me now this is the one for me. If I could sum it up in 1 word 'stunning' 🥰
Love it I have the regular YsL Libre and I only use it one day a year and in January but not on New years.i just bought it back in November I of last year. I have other YSL perfumes including Black Opium Extreme and it is really nice and I wear that one day out of the year.
Finally a review in this😍 Unfortunately something in this perfume (patchouli or Lavender) in combination with my skin , makes the parfume STINK😭😅 I do love this fragrance on others.

I love Libre EDP, i live in a hot climate too, but I feel in summer is when you can feel the citruses. I have problem with longevity with lots of fragances, but not with this one. I don't like sweet and candy like perfumes, so my favourite is de OG. I have smelled the new release and I miss something. I liked it, but the drydown is less original like lots of vanilla fragances. The opening is gorgeous thought.
Make sure you try it in a store or get a small size just to be safe since libre is such a polarizing DNA. ☺️🥰 I did have way better luck with this flanker so I think it will be better for those of us who struggled with the others. ❤️
I love lavender but when I tried the original Libre it smelled like an herbal bug spray on me. Even in the dry down. I was so disappointed, but this sounds heavenly.
To me the libre intense and libre le parfume smell very much the same. I got my nose on it last week. I just don’t honestly see the necessity of having this. if I already have the intense . I do however like the freshness of Libre Eau de Toilette. Love your fall look gorgeous!

I have the same feeling about this fragrance. I did not really enjoy original as it was too sharp like air freshener spray. Then intense version was a bit better, however, lacking something and bothering me. Le perfume on the other hand it the spot for me, very well balance and cosy to wear. Some people say it is almost identical to intense but for me it is a very different perfume.
i'm just waiting on sephora to ship it out to me lol . I smelled the original ysl libre and i was seeing videos that if you have the intense version you shouldn't get this and I don't have neither. So i had to try lol

If you prefer tropical, sweet and light florals then this definitely isn’t in that category. I do think this one is way less masculine but the libre dna is still there so it isn’t a safe blind buy for sure. 🥰
I understand that the fairytale body spray from b&b is compared to Libre. When I sprayed on in the bathroom my husband thought i had sprayed his acqua di gio absolu lol I thought that was interesting. Maybe it just came off as masculine to him.

In colder weather it did lots better, and I started to like the fragrance. Never purchased, because I mostly find it too 'cold' and can't wear it often. Really have to be in the mood for it. So have high hopes for this. Read different things on Fragrantica: was either more masculine or more feminine to Libre, so we'll see. Sounds like the perfect scent for fall. And frankly haven't got anything yet with honey or spices in it.
@@melindabucy8459 Test campaigns in Europe sometimes, and otherwise advertised as free samples on the homepage of a local big perfume shop, a bit like Sephora, but we don't have that here. And sometimes with new releases, I get ads for free samples on facebook.

I can't wear Libre or BBW Fairytale 😢 it just turns into a weird, lingering sharp scent on my skin. I got a decant of Libre from Microperfumes so I'm glad I didn't invest too much money into it.
No lie what sold me on this fragrance was its sexy sillage & monster longevity. I sprayed a tester strip in store and shoved it in my purse and forgot about it. 36 HOURS LATER I was laying in bed late at night and kept getting wafts of the most gorgeous spicy sweet orange blossom. I was intoxicated but couldn’t figure out what it was for the life of me. It wasn’t what I was wearing… So fast forward to the next morning I go grab my bag and find the card inside just radiating the smell. SOLD.
Sooo the question looking back now? Which lavender do you like the most?? Burberry Goddes, Libre Le Parfume or Mon Guerlain?? I’m lost I waited til now and idk which one to get I can only get one ☝️ 😢 boo?
Hello Amy. You always look so beautiful. I wish you did my makeup some day. :) Please tell us sometime what you are wearing and where you got it. I really like your tops. YSL is probably one of my favorite brands, I tend to really like most of the perfumes, but they do tend to be really strong, and sometimes will give me a headache and even make me nauseous. Libre is really classy and sophisticated, but I am afraid to get it because it's super expensive and I might not be able to tolerate it. Thank you for your amazingly detailed reviews. 🤣😂 oh I know you hate them! I started to hate my libre once I moved here but before that I enjoyed it (just had to be light handed with it) so this flanker just gave me everything that was missing from the others. It smooths out those sharp edges and has spiciness and warmth and the lavender isn’t as sharp and masculine. I still would recommend a sample or a travel size because it does still have the libre DNA for sure so it could still be a hate for you but you never know! 🥴😝 I was super iffy about it too so I went with the travel first. ☺️❤️ I would love to hear your thoughts on it like always 🙌🏼

I think Libre EDP is super pretty but it gave me a big headache. Had the travel spray. I did declutter it too.

Silage is strong for first 3 hrs and then it's moderate.

I can't wear Libre or BBW Fairytale 😢 it just turns into a weird, lingering sharp scent on my skin. I got a decant of Libre from Microperfumes so I'm glad I didn't invest too much money into it.
I can’t wear the original Libre either, I prefer the le parfum and that one I can wear 🥰☺️
No lie what sold me on this fragrance was its sexy sillage & monster longevity. I sprayed a tester strip in store and shoved it in my purse and forgot about it. 36 HOURS LATER I was laying in bed late at night and kept getting wafts of the most gorgeous spicy sweet orange blossom. I was intoxicated but couldn’t figure out what it was for the life of me. It wasn’t what I was wearing…
So fast forward to the next morning I go grab my bag and find the card inside just radiating the smell.

This version is very rich 🤑 I hate all the libres because of that lavender note.

Hello Amy. You always look so beautiful. I wish you did my makeup some day. :) Please tell us sometime what you are wearing and where you got it. I really like your tops. YSL is probably one of my favorite brands, I tend to really like most of the perfumes, but they do tend to be really strong, and sometimes will give me a headache and even make me nauseous. Libre is really classy and sophisticated, but I am afraid to get it because it's super expensive and I might not be able to tolerate it. Thank you for your amazingly detailed reviews. If you had to describe this fragrance/the notes in a few words without referencing the other Libre's or compare it to something outside of Libre, what would you say?
I would say it is strong, powerful and has spiciness and warmth to it. Has a thick sweetness to it. Smells sophisticated, sweet and sexy. ☺️❤️

🤣😂 oh I know you hate them! I started to hate my libre once I moved here but before that I enjoyed it (just had to be light handed with it) so this flanker just gave me everything that was missing from the others. It smooths out those sharp edges and has spiciness and warmth and the lavender isn’t as sharp and masculine. I still would recommend a sample or a travel size because it does still have the libre DNA for sure so it could still be a hate for you but you never know! 🥴😝 I was super iffy about it too so I went with the travel first. ☺️❤️ I would love to hear your thoughts on it like always 🙌🏼
