The bond between the two of you is absolutely heart warming. My family did not grow up close, so I really enjoy watching the two of you. Great video, as always.
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. I think the Sonne team did a great job on the concrete slab. Looks pretty darn good if you ask me. Good job guys and the nice truck driver. That job done. Moving cattle around just takes time. You and dad are always good with the herd. Appreciate the attention you give the herd. Good herdsmen!!!!!!!! You both had a busy day but got a lot done. Laughed at concreting in your jacket and cell phone. Hope there was a easy way to retrieve them. Been there done that before myself. About it I guess. You all take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next. Good day Cole and Brian, that is why you enjoy the farm life. Thanks for everything. The Iowa farm boy from years ago.
We have poured some concrete. Once, just my son & I and the driver got out & worked the chute. When we finished the pour, I told my son pay this man. He was insulted. Would not take cash for helping, said it was his concrete until it was poured out. We never had another driver like him. That's some adjustable bull float. Use what you have or make one. Love it!
Ok so here's the best way you should do your concrete job: do it exactly how you know what will work best for the job at hand, which is what you did. Y'all don't need a bunch of people who can only watch n criticise, you are there doing it, not us. So job well done on a job well done as my beautiful Dad would have said. 😇💙 And Cole I'm sorry to say that as soon as I saw you with a hose I thought "Ooops that's goanna run over!" But hey, you're consistent. LOL! 😆👍 Love your work Sonne Farms - concrete n all. I can't wait for claving time. 💙🙏🦘🐨
I learned my lesson, as you just did, the HARD WAY, about doing a “small” concrete pour. I did a sidewalk and ramp at my old house. That was 25 years ago and I haven’t done ANY concrete SINCE!! Damn near killed me, MUCH respect for the concrete masons who do this for a living!
Well done on the pour. I loved the homemade bull float. There is absolutely nothing gained in your situation by paying someone an exorbitant amount to do that pour when you have the time to do it for yourselves. There is also no reason to go out and spend a lot of money on tools for an occasional situation. Your are pouring a cattle floor, not a dance floor. :-) Cole: I love the sweatshirt! Rock Tuff, indeed. He's my only hope.
I think you did a fine job. I have done my share of cement work so I know what its like. Hats off to Brian because cement work is damn hard work, no matter how small the project.
After I left the farm I remember coming home for a visit (I had moved about 500 miles away). More than twice... right after breakfast a big old cement truck would pull into the yard. And about 10 minutes later I was wearing a pair of dad's milking boots and shoveling concrete into the low spots! "This aint no GD Rest Home"
I know nothing about pouring concrete, but the job you did looks good to me. Watching the two of you was great fun, as always. I agree with Nancy about family relationships. I did not have a good relationship with my father, but the one you and your dad have is priceless. Let nothing come between the two of you. Thank you for your videos.
So proud of how well you two work together, there are many families that wish they had this in their family. Cole, I still think you would make a fortune as a model for western farm wear.
You guys did an excellent job on the concrete, I used to drive one of those concrete haulers & always helped the customers spread and finish the cement
Hiya boys👋 looking good as always, love the cement slab looks great 👍 I love the ending Cole let's the water run over, son you're just adorable, from the old woman in Oklahoma, I love you guys's life🤗🤗🇺🇲
Oh no not Half Slappy! Maybe it's hiding with the nickel..... Thanks for the look at that pasture, will be interesting to follow and see how it shapes up.
Poured at a very good slump which is good! Also wetting subgrade is the way to go to keep ground from soaking up all your water to quick! FYI, Always use expansion material next to fixed structures to allow shrinkage & help prevent shrinkage cracks!
Such a shame about needing another concrete trip. (I enjoy the sound of traffic on a country road, especially when we are expecting visitors, or a delivery, wondering which vehicle will be turning down our road!)---Today I got to wondering if the other kids envy the 1:1 time the two of you get to have each day. I enjoy seeing it.
I love your cement project!! 3rd wife’s bones 🦴 Lol 😂 keeping 1st & 2nd 😂 Love song of the day posts gotta pick a Bon Jovi song soon !! His classic !! Brian” under what condition would she say that” 😂😂 Cole at the very end of the video your facial expression said it all we didn’t even need to see where you were running to. That was a I FORGOT TO SHUT THE WATER OFF Look !! Great video thanks 🙋♀️😊💗
I think y'all did a great job with the concrete. Kattles sure aren't going to complain! I'll be definitely looking forward to the next video. Y'all make me laugh every video. Thank you from RI
I think y'all did a hell of a job with that concrete. Especially with the tools you had, including the wooden float and everything. That's actually kinda genius as you're doing 2 steps with the 1 tool. You're gonna have some good traction for them cattles (which is probably why you used it, lol). Anyway, nice job fellas! I'd hire you any day! 😂 PS - I appreciate the Cannadips discount code... I've been wanting to try it to see if it helps with my back pain, so when I saw you had a discount code I figured what the heck and ordered some. Looking forward to giving it a shot!
I’ll say it again. Concrete SUUUUUCCCCKKS! I could never figure concrete correctly either. Great job guys. I think y’all do better framing any way there at the Sonne frams
I so wish there were subtitles. is this what they said at 11:34 Cole: "All right. On to the next thing heh?" Brian: "No point in sitting here resting on our laurels, let's get to the next thing" Cole: "What's a laurel?" Brian: "uh, Lawrence Welk will tell you." The cows said they liked the concrete pour. No problem there!
been doing concrete for many decades and i must say i was impressed how great of a job you guys did . your pops even had the truck signals on point i got guys that cant even do that yet lol
We all understand that cattle and crops are your specialty ! That being said you guys did just fine on the concrete. A guy has to save money with today's farm economy and high input costs . That concrete will be just fine for the cattle . Great video keep up the good work!
I agree your concrete turned out very well. I just wonder if you should have left the forms up to morning.Just to make sure you didn't have a cement slide in an area. Like you, we weren't pros, but our neighbor knew a lot about a lot of building projects. We left the forms up all night, and if it was warm, we sprayed the concrete every few hours - so it didn't set up too fast. Prevented cracks from starting. We were making steps into doors, cement slabs as a 4 x4 ' entry or exit to a new door, patios & floors inside backyard sheds. We always over ordered & ended up doing an unplanned project to use up the extra. We usually ended up with cat foot prints, & our kids hand prints with the year of the project. Oh how happy the kids all were to get their hands pressed into the cement. ( Their reward for not stepping into our fool hardy projects.)
You did good 👍 Neverminde the critics, job was done right. Nice to see Cole still makes water puddles in all the right places 😅 Glad to see you walking much better Cole. You just might be able to beat the old man in a race to the Roast. If you wanted to of course. Salute Sonne's.....
As a farm kid myself I remember doing the same sort of thing many years ago. My job was to grab a 10 foot length of rebar about an hour after the concrete was poured and literally flog the concrete with the rebar to makes grooves or marks in the concrete about a half inch deep to rough up the concrete so the cattle would not slip on it.
Anytime you place a concrete slab-on-grade you should spray the surface of the concrete after finishing and it takes initial set with a concrete curing compound. This prevents the water in the concrete from evaporating into the air and will make the concrete last longer. You can get it a building material store or online and follow the directions to apply.
Don’t feel bad. I was gone on a trip and my husband was watering my outside plants. He left the water running in the front so long that it increased our water bill enough for the meter man to write a note on the meter reader sheet: “your water use has increased. You might want to check for leaks.” Laugh Out Loud !
The bond between the two of you is absolutely heart warming. My family did not grow up close, so I really enjoy watching the two of you. Great video, as always.

IT WAS NICE THAT THE DRIVER HELPED OUT.
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable.

Thanks for everything.
The Iowa farm boy from years ago.
Yes sir!!! I run a batch plant. All my boys help out, they always get a nice tip.
Love it!
After that concrete pour, I think you two should take up farming professionally, that's all I have to say. LOL
Cannadips
I had some severe anxiety going during that “placing” and finishing of concrete Should get some canadips I guess
@@snownuts80 A bottle of Jack Daniels more like LOL

Love your work Sonne Farms - concrete n all. I can't wait for claving time. 💙🙏🦘🐨
Mixer driver jumped in and helped! That's pretty rare tho not unheard of but ALWAYS APPRECIATED. Good video
Maybe he watches their videos, and knew there was cold Buish light in the 1 shed. Lol.
“ This is my cement trowel, there is many like it but this one is mine. Without Brian the trowel is nothing” LMAO
As the daughter of a masonry worker, you did great! It’s not an easy job and no one should fault you and Brian is right, the cows won’t care! 😂
Love to see the bond between Father and Son ,Cole looks like his beautiful Mom nice wrok men ,you are hard workers
Great video Cole, Brian, and Ellie. You have nice looking cattle.
Thank you for the great videos, Sonne Farms. Busy day, and well done.
RESPECT FOR SELF-RELIANT FARMERS!
For two who don’t know what your doing looks darn good
To me.Thanks to both of you for sharing

Cole: I love the sweatshirt! Rock Tuff, indeed. He's my only hope.
Cole: "You dingledorks, let's go". Seems like that should be printed on a slappy.
I love how dad talks to son telling him what to do during the pour.
I can just imagine how the birds and the bees talk went lol!
That’s next week when his girlfriend moves to SD!
So happy you both got your daily learnin in.
I think you did a fine job. I have done my share of cement work so I know what its like. Hats off to Brian because cement work is damn hard work, no matter how small the project.
Hey, used the link in the description for the pouches. Thank you.

Dingle dorks -- best phrase ever!!!
So proud of how well you two work together, there are many families that wish they had this in their family. Cole, I still think you would make a fortune as a model for western farm wear.
I think you fellas did a fine job on the cow slab! Couldn't believe my eyes when I seen the driver helping!
You guys crushed it! Good stuff fellas!!!
The fun you guys are going to have with each other about this job will bring you laughs for years to come.
As a person involved concrete construction I say good job!
i appreciate that not everyone thought so
That looks like a very good job to me, you Sonne boys work good together. Good job!!
Awesome job on the concrete pour. Enjoyed the video.
You need to train those 25 racoons to do synchronised dancing across your concrete to leave a sure grip pattern for your cattle.😃
That South Dakota bull float is pretty awesome. I'd put a patent on that hot rod!
Great job on the cement work! Alot of us have been concrete workers by default or by being voluntold. LoL!!!
You guys did an excellent job on the concrete, I used to drive one of those concrete haulers & always helped the customers spread and finish the cement
that is so appreciated
The ingenuity put into this was awesome. It’s definitely going to serve its purpose. The cattle will appreciate it.
Still blown away by your work ethic. Brian is relentless.
thankyou
"You dingledorks" might be my new favorite saying.
Had my tropical cbd today thanks to the 20% off on you. Big THANK YOU 🙏
Hiya boys👋 looking good as always, love the cement slab looks great 👍 I love the ending Cole let's the water run over, son you're just adorable, from the old woman in Oklahoma, I love you guys's life🤗🤗🇺🇲
Brian, I got a magnesium trowel just like yours I don’t use anymore! Maybe I’ll send it on to Cole so he can be “like father like son”. LOL
Another Lake Sonne, and so it begins again, lol. Nice to see that somethings never change, lol. 👍👍❤️❤️
Oh no not Half Slappy! Maybe it's hiding with the nickel.....
Thanks for the look at that pasture, will be interesting to follow and see how it shapes up.
that concrete job is great! digging that home made wooden float .. the kattle and claves will love it!
Great weather your having at the moment perfect for the concrete job
Like you said the cows won't care and cleaned up so you don't have to deal with mud that's a win in most people's book
Poured at a very good slump which is good! Also wetting subgrade is the way to go to keep ground from soaking up all your water to quick! FYI, Always use expansion material next to fixed structures to allow shrinkage & help prevent shrinkage cracks!
Great job on the concrete.
I sure do need a new patio torn up and poured! It’s just a short drive to Texas!
Great video Cole and Brian
What I see is self-reliant farmers who poured and finished a nice slab of concrete. Good for you!
Such a shame about needing another concrete trip. That was indeed a good day, and an excellent video of it for us to enjoy. Thanks chaps!
You guys rock. Love your videos.

Hearing the Meadowlarks in the background always makes me miss “home” (SE Montana)!
Oh how we missed overflowing water 💧 tanks Cole. 😎 It just wouldn’t be Sonne Frames without them.
been doing concrete for many decades and i must say i was impressed how great of a job you guys did . your pops even had the truck signals on point i got guys that cant even do that yet lol
The concrete job looks great. The rain will help it cure slowly and become stronger. Thanks till next time.
I preordered the Cherry Pie Cannadips. Thanks for recommending it, I’ve been using it when doing yard work.
I thought I was the only one to use the term “dingledorks”!😂
We all understand that cattle and crops are your specialty ! That being said you guys did just fine on the concrete. A guy has to save money with today's farm economy and high input costs . That concrete will be just fine for the cattle . Great video keep up the good work!

You both did a great job.
I lost it when the camera was on the homemade screed. I could not stop laughing.
You did good 👍
Neverminde the critics, job was done right.
Nice to see Cole still makes water puddles in all the right places 😅
Glad to see you walking much better Cole. You just might be able to beat the old man in a race to the Roast.
If you wanted to of course.
Salute Sonne's.....
I use to mix concrete with my dad. In concrete mixer on farm. So much hard work

Don't worry about the comments. My favorite saying is; "Hey, it looks good from the highway".
Y'all did great! Keep up the good work!
My husband found a new channel to keep him entertained and it is actually interesting.
I hope its this channel
Excellent job guys👍💩flows down down 👍 hill Aloha from Hawaii🤙🏽🌴😎
...good job, looks great to me, i've had pros do worse, my grandpa used old bed springs for rebar.lol...keep safe
Roflmbo! Old 3rd ex-wives bones!!! That was a good one! You got me……nothing like Dr Pepper up your nose!!!❤️😂

Isn’t that a 2stroke engine on that screed vibrator ? Don’t forget that oil 😅
Good sharing 👍
