YAS, THIS! I was missing this game so much, so I wanted to play a little more all these six years after it's original release. One thing led to another and another video was born. Always glad to have you, Mirko.
Thanks for this - Kind of annoying that I've 100%'d the game but still need like, not exaggerating, 800k+ overcharge just to have the weapons, not to mention amps that still need upgraded. Definitely one of my only bad things to say about this game is that I think they screwed up the pacing with this bit. Otherwise, an absolute joy to play!
Ya, I completely agree. I've also 100%'d the game (other than the buck national achievements) and I had to do a LOT of grinding to get everything else in the game. It's not really fun to have to do the same thing over and over just to finish with all the purchases, but whatever. The game *is* a blast when you're actually doing stuff in it.
so funny: I accidentally figured this out on my own, and looked up a guide to see if there was a less tedious way. This method isn't horrible but it's still a bit of a pain.
Yeah, sorry about that. I didn't know when I first made the video, but I'm glad that I at least included the alternative farm method here which _does_ still work for Xbox (even if it's unreasonably slow). The intended method for farming Overcharge in the Xbox version is through the "Night Defense" mode. This doesn't exist in the PC version, so they added the alternative method which I made the video to get the word out.
It's great to see that you still reply to comments frequently even on an older video, unfortunately I play on the Xbox version so this method doesn't work for me, I'll have to resort to the old farm or wait for the DLC to go on sale and see if the content in it saves me lol anyway, I just came to wish the channel success and praise your video ;)
Thank you! I'm sorry about that. I'm glad that I include the old farm method in this video too so that people could use that option if they needed. The intended method for farming Overcharge in the Xbox version is through the "Night Defense" mode, though. That mode isn't in the PC version, so I made this video to tell people about the alternative options. I tried to give a warning in the description because I didn't actually know about it being PC exclusive when I first made the video. I actually changed the original thumbnail too to make the "PC" part easy to see. Honestly, if you ever get a good PC, the Steam version is about the same price as all the DLC for Xbox and sales are pretty common, I think. I know that playing through the main game again would be a bit of a drag, but I figure it's good to know what your options are.

Ya, I agree. This game was a ton of fun to play through and so I'm _really_ happy that it finally got a PC port. As far as getting a Sunset 2, that's unfortunately _very_ unlikely. Insomniac Games (who made Sunset Overdrive) were bought out by Sony. Since Microsoft owns the publishing rights, the best we could ever see is either a spiritual successor from Insomniac through Sony that would likely be exclusive to the PlayStation or a cash grab sequel from Microsoft that has been given of to another company to develop which probably wouldn't come out any good. Both options are probably not very likely, though, as I don't think the game had incredible sales numbers or anything so having potentially risky obstacles like that are more likely just going to kill it than anything else.
In game there's at least two references to there being a sequel but out of game it's never been mentioned. Sony and Microsoft have seemed more willing to work with one another recently, it could happen in a some years.
I'm glad I could help. I was running into the same problem, which is why I decided to go ahead and put something together after doing some math to make sure, haha.
The Overcharge reward was one time only in the Xbox version, but that was changed for the PC version of the game. You could always re-earn the cash in both versions. Glad I could point you in the right direction, hope you enjoy the game!
@@Deadforge Ya, sorry. On the Xbox version, it was intended that players would farm using the "Chaos Squad" game mode. They never added that into the PC version, so the purpose of this video was to highlight the alternative farming method that they built in to the game to compensate for that discrepancy.
That's wonderful! I loved this game, and I think the PC version is definitely the definitive way to play. There's some stuff that's kind of confusing if you don't know what it was for back in this game's XbOne days, but it's nothing major.
