It was certainly a bug close to the camera lens. I see similar on my security cameras often. It's clearly a bug when it moves away from the camera and comes into focus.

Sorry I am late to comment but it may have been a ghost. Just the other day I was about to turn on a cab in my basement, when suddenly a male deep voice right next to my right ear says "I hear you". I was stunned as I was the only one in the house, so I said out loud; " I hear you too"! I did not hear anything after that. 2 days later I was watching Gone in 60 Seconds, right at the part where the guys are picking up the Hummer from the parking garage, the guy pulls out the doll, and starts singing she's a brick house, as I started to laugh, someone else was laughing with me. Again I was the only person in the house.

I've seen similar videos, it's an insect but it's too close to the camera's lens for it to focus on... therefore it looks like a blurry ball.
