    Ah HA! Very helpful video!
I just got a free Tekken 1 arcade and am working out it's issues. First and foremost, the main board for the CRT is missing and presumed sold off. I found a replacement online, but I wanted to make sure I knew how to connect the game board to the CRT board before I coughed up any cash.
Your video on how to open arcade cabinets was helpful as well.
    Thank you for your videos.

@Guywithair2 We have a link to the standard JAMMA wiring diagram on our web site under the post for this video. Since we get so many questions about Neo Geo wiring in particular, I will also add a link to the Neo Geo JAMMA wiring diagram in the same post. Please visit the web site for these details.

    GOOD TIPS

@masonsushi The majority of JAMMA harnesses that we've seen support up to 4 buttons per player with the rest of the button being mapped to the kick harness. We will be doing a video about the kick harness. Look for it soon!
We have also featured your question on episode 19 of our Q&A podcast. Please listen to it for more of our thoughts on your question. Thank you for your question and good luck with your future repairs.

@bergerdotcom Yes we do. Check out our video on Adjusting Dip Switch Settings On A Board for more information. Since the dip switches on every game are different, you'll have to consult the manual or search online to see which switches you will need to adjust. If you do a web search for "street fighter dip switches" you should find what you are looking for. Hope that helps.

Do you guys have a video of how to set up an isolated transformer/ AC power supply? I bought an empty cab and need to get an AC cable and power supply set up. Feeling fairly lost and overwhelmed so far on how to get it going

There's an article that our friend Bob Roberts wrote a while back that might help you out. Just do a Google search for the words "bob roberts ac wiring" and you should find it. He also sells a complete drop in AC power center for around $100 shipped. Might be the best way to go if you still feel overwhelmed after reading the article. Hope that helps.

So the jamma harness will allow 2 players up to 6 buttons each?? Also, could you do a video talking about a kick harness and how to install it?

Thank you for the video. When connecting a kick harness, do you need to run the ground wire from the kick harness itself to the kick buttons, or can you still use the ground wire that is daisy chained to all the other (punch) buttons going back to the Jamma harness?

In our experience, it’s fine to use the daisy-chained ground wires on the button switches that are connected to the kick harness. With that said, we tend to use the kick harness ground wires when we initially wire a game.
We also wanted to let you know that we will be covering your question on our Live Show Episode 74 on Thursday, April 8, 2023 at 5:30 PM CT on RUclips. Here's a link to the episode if you want to watch it live: ruclips.net/video/3ajMHqyO1eY/видео.html. Thank you for your question and good luck with your future repairs.

okay thanks. I cant seem to find his 100$ unit, but I can try to wrap my head around the power supply. I'm trying to make a Mortal Kombat 3 cabinets and basically need to do it from scratch. I have a monitor, the control panel/buttons, a switching power supply and an isolated transformer. Now I'm just trying to learn how to make one of these power sources and how to connect them to jamma harnesses and into my monitor etc. Has been a very confusing thing for me to learn so far.

Is it bad for a jamma edge connector to be missing a couple ground wires? I have a 56-pin edge connector on my arcade game and it runs fine, but I'm worried that the couple ground wires unattached from it are hurting my pcb and what not.

    Good stuff.
Sometime, it would be nice to see a video on the mislabeled, so called JAMMA, but non-standard harnesses which do things like taking ground leads and using them on buttons for players 3+. I have seen entire consoles destroyed, all the way back to the PSU, because someone plugged an "elf" game into a real JAMMA box. Sad but true.

I have a nonjamma game(zaxxon) can you tell me how if it is possible to convert it to jamma. They have converters to put my board into a jamma so I was wondering if I could switch the cab to jamma so I can just change boards to what I wanna play without having a room full of arcade machines. thanks

@ varcadegames do you have a video that shows how to turn off insert coin feature play for free? I got Street Fighter 2 and even though putting coins in is kinda cool I would like to not have to just don't know how to change it. Thanks

What ever happened to the chart you were going to put up ? Watched the whole episode waiting for it lol. Very educational, I’ve just bought my second machine not working so have no knowledge, also reward for any one who can help? I’m chasing the game card or board for back to the future so I can rebuild it for my partner. Is bttf Jamma ? Thanks.

You can find our JAMMA pinout chart on our website at www.arcaderepairtips.com/jamma.html
We are not aware of an officially licensed Back to the Future arcade game. Some people have used this name to create/market multicade games though. This unfortunately makes it hard to know if the setup in your cabinet is JAMMA. You can send some pictures of it to us and we can probably identify it. E-mail them to questions@arcaderepairtips.com for additional help.
