As the mother of the bride to Kelcy I would like to add a couple of tips as well. I would pay the extra $700 to $800 for a suite. Even though the suite was quite spacious with a private deck, when we ladies were getting ready it was quite chaotic, so having the extra room I feel is a must. Another must is getting the extra hour (if you can) for the reception activities. Two hours goes by super fast. Bring hankies and hide in your dress. It’s hot and you don’t want to be sweaty for pictures. Remember blot don’t wipe 😂. One last thing I would suggest is try to get all your guests together for the fireworks and take pictures. It’s the end of an absolutely perfect and magical day and is the cherry on top. We were spread out all over the ship and I wish we could of gotten a group shot with the fireworks in the background. For you parents with daughters…this is a fabulous way to contribute to a wedding without the stress. Just show up and enjoy! It was so gorgeous and memorable. DCL weddings are top notch and I can’t recommend enough!

How did you gently encourage family/friends to book as soon as they can? They think they have a lot of time... but because of Covid it’s filling up fast... thank you so much for all your advice and info!!
Hey Sarah! As soon as we booked our wedding cruise we looked for a travel agent. I wanted to make life easier on my family because most of them had not been on a cruise. Once we found her, we sent out a mass message to everyone so they had all of the information. I did suggest booking a deposit so they would at the very least have a room and could get a full refund if they decided to change their mind later on. Once they booked with our travel agent she took it from there so I didn’t have to stress about it anymore! I hope this helps! Thanks so much for reaching out ❤️
We just started planning our Disney Cruise wedding for the Summer of 2023 and found this video very helpful! I would have never thought about putting the wedding favors in their rooms ahead of time and booking an extra hour sounds like its a must for the reception so I will definitely be asking for that as soon as we book! My main concern is my dress..... did you ship your dress ahead of time to the resort or did you carry that thing on the plane! I have had several bags get lost on planes so Im super nervous about that happening.

Ashley Walker Hi there! We used customized beach bags! We stuffed them with lotion, hand sanitizer, emery boards, koozies, lanyards, a few coconut cookies etc.

Hey!!! Another quick question! I saw pic of you guys on a Disney Cruise travel agents FB (Natasha) I wanted to know how you thought she was and if the booking process with your family went well. Did they get gift cards for booking with her etc? Thanks!
Hi Sarah! She did a great job of keeping everyone together! She also helped my group of 30 navigate the ins and outs of cruising with Disney (as all of us had never cruised with them or even at all). I do believe everyone received a gift card, but it varied depending on your room level. I hope this helps!
