    数運用しかないキハ120による三次→広島の展望ビデオです。
    手振れ補正機能offで撮影していますので
    車体の上下左右の揺れがそのまま反映され
    場合によってはクルマ酔いのような気分に
    陥る恐れもありますのでご注意ください。

    Very nice video as always. I am puzzled about the speed restriction 30 km/h not followed, there is a heads up at 35:40 then the actual restriction at 36:13. There are more restrictions after that one passed at much higher speed. How is this handled, is the restriction lifted and the drivers get a train order about this even if the signage is still there? I wouldn't expect the driver to simply don't care about it, so there is something I don't understand. I believe the restriction is between the yellow circular sign until the green circular sign, right?
    Could it be related to when track work is ongoing, and when they are not working, there is no restriction?

    Say, ato5kgyasetaito, what part of japan is this? it looks very remote but the scenery is fantastic. watching this i feel like im in feudal japan with iga and koga ninja clans serving the Tokugawa shogunate, AWESOME!

      まあハイパー田舎ですね、狩留家迄は電化見込みがあると思いますが以北では無理でしょう。

    Since I'm a people watcher as well as a Train Watcher I was disappointed to see the passengers blanked out at the stations. Otherwise this was a very good trip into Hiroshima from the uplands. Thanks much.

      I believe you will find this is a common occurrence especially with Japan's many rail fan videos. It's out of respect for the privacy of the people who are videoed.
      This courtesy is extended also to rail staff and overall I don't think is a bad thing.
      People watching is no problem, but FILMING them is quite another - most I suspect would not mind or care, but having ones face on a permanent record could be conceived as 'invasive'.

    I really like the idea of the mirrors at the stations, the driver can check if all the doors are closed and it is safe to start, They don't do that in UK, or anywhere else in Europe, as far as I know, and they should. It makes sense.

      They are indeed a good idea -- but they are used outside of Japan too. Here are UK examples (1) in Newcastle -- s0.geograph.org.uk/geophotos/05/65/82/5658290_ddd0b93a_original.jpg -- and (2) Hitchin -- c8.alamy.com/comp/EYJCK2/railway-platform-mirrors-fv45-on-station-platform-EYJCK2.jpg .

    三次はそこそこ重要な地方ターミナル。昔、水谷豊の浅見光彦シリーズでは、福塩線で来た人が、芸備線広島発の直前に、三次駅の高架通路で絞殺されるって事件がありました。
    三江線もなくなりましたが、芸備線の三次~新見も、維持できるのかな。

      下深川だと中途半端なんで、狩留家迄は将来的に出来ると思います。狩留家より北はまず無理でしょう。

    The censoring of peoples faces at each station was deplorable and spoilt the otherwise good video.
    Passengers are the reason there is train travel and I cannot believe that the Japanese people are so introvert that they would object to being filmed !!

      Politeness, local law, etc. In some nations you have to ask to photograph people. Especially if they are minors. Its called privacy.

    終点三次迄乗るなら快速乗ったほうがいい。特に甲立向原志和口で降りるなら尚更、時間無駄にかかる!
