I work remotely from the Philippines for law firm in Miami and am directly employed by them. Next year, I will attend a work-related conference in Washington, DC. I will travel solely for the conference and return home immediately afterward, as my employer has granted me only one week of leave for this trip. My employment contract stipulates that I must perform my duties exclusively from the Philippines, so I need to return home to work. Given my direct employment with a US firm and the fact that I receive my salary from them, will this affect my visa application? I'm concerned because I know someone who was visiting the US for the same purpose (conference) and was denied a visa because the officer mentioned they should not be receiving a salary directly from the US.

Hi my b1/b2 visa denied last week, my brother is US citizen and he filled i-130 petition for me. I own a manufacturing business (5 millions turnover). Im 33 unmarried. My parents got their green card few months ago.
Visa officer ask me 3 questions, purpose of travel? Who filled i 130 petition? What you do? And bang (214b)
