What about moving the summing junction across a takeoff point and vice versa?

Glad you found the video helpful! In this kind of block diagram reduction, swapping the places of summing junctions and takeoff points isn’t allowed. If you try to do this, you will find that you actually need to make the block diagram more complicated with additional branches to accommodate it.
