  • This is a simple crochet leaf tutorial by Ria Rose Crafts. You can make this crochet leaf in any type of yarn to make different sizes of leaves. Using the technique of increasing decreasing chains for the base will determine the size of your leaf. If you want a longer and bigger leaf increase the number of chains for your base. For shorter or smaller leaf decrease the number of chains.
    I'm not a professional crocheter so some of my caption/subtitle may not be the correct terms a pro crocheter might use but the video itself should be easy to follow. An easy step-by-step crochet tutorial.

    Ria Rose, it is a great tutorial.
    Would like to suggest to others using US Crochet terms,
    your Half Treble is US Half Double Crochet, and
    your Treble Crochet is US 'Extended Double Crochet'. Thank you so much for sharing your skill.

    Ahhh....just read a reply that those half treble crochet & double & a half stitches have different names in the US. The double & a half stitch is called an extended double & that half treble IS called a half double crochet (in the US). In the future I'll read more comments before posting...

      It's not actually a Treble Crochet. It is known as the Extended Double Crochet stitch. 😊

    Those aren't the treble crochet stitches I was taught - they're like double crochet & a half stitches. And that half treble crochet stitch? I was taught that was a half double crochet stitch, hdc. Guess it doesn't matter, it all works out into a very pretty leaf. Still, I have to pay close attention...

    I like this leaf pattern but I'm finding the first stitch tricky. I'm used to starting with a slip stitch and can't seem to slow this down to see how to make that first stitch. Help?

      If you made a slip knot (like I did), do 10 chains instead of 9.

    • @sweetnsassy4329
      @sweetnsassy4329 3 года назад

      @@mrchickenandthebudgies2506 thank you. I couldn’t get the stitches to come out right with only chaining 9 stitches using a slip know. I must have ripped out the stitches 6 times before I just decided to chain 10 stitches.
