How To Fix Floppy Pedal Hobie Mirage Drive

This is how I repaired my floppy loose pedals for my 2019 Hobie Mirage Drive 180 ARC. If your pedal is loose your foot will slide off and make your kayak movement slow and inconsistent. Fix that broken pedal easy. This repair will apply to 2019 through 2022 Hobie ARC Mirage Drives.
Things you'll need are:
-Heat gun
-1/8 inch diameter bungee cord
-screw driver
-putty knife
-needle nose pliers
-scissors
-lightwe

I love how you use a Leatherman tool. I have one on me all the time, and then flattening out the cord with the lighter is exactly how I do it. Too cool

I can see why it broke now, when I do mine maybe a piece of shrink tube will help in the axle hole to stop the sharp edges from cutting it , or try to smooth edges with a file. Thanks for the video 🍻 Cheers

This is great! I have to replace my left mirage foot pedal however cannot seem to locate it online unless I want to replace the entire drive. I've been pretty much pushing on the bar. Not super comfortable but can use the assistance!

If that pad comes off, try skateboard grip tape. There are lots of colors…you lose the padded comfort but that’s minimal.
