Hey I love watching craft videos....a tip for shiny stickers or magazine images can be put on the paper before the tea bag is put on on it will keep the shine from showing. Happy crafting.
These are so sweet! Just got into junk journaling this year and these would be fantastic to add into the books. So beautiful and looks like they are fun to make.
So glad you enjoyed it! There is a right side up view of the video available if you would like to watch it again or know anyone who would like to see it. :)
Thanks for sharing this great idea, i've never seen anyone do any of this before, but although i want to try this, if i use book pages, for me i'll save the white edgings of the pages, i'll cut them as strips & use them for paper beads.
Lovely idea for sure! I do have one question. You mentioned diluting the glue with 1/3 water, but then I saw you take straight from the glue bottle when you were gluing them at the end? Was that straight glue, then? 😊
@@4chicagogrl ok... I wondered if it might be something like that. Thnku... I just dried-out tea bags overnight and I'm going to be taking the Tea out tomorrow.
Thanks! Please forgive my amateur camera work. Was only my 2nd video so still learning. Almost didn’t post due to its issues, but thought it’s better than nothing and hopefull I will improve my camera work as I make more things ❤️.
I don't drink tea or cofee but have used them to dye paper, wondering what to do with the bag. I also kept the tags with the string to use somewhere. Marker pens are great to use if you don't have ink pads. Thanks for the inspiration.
Hi I've been playing with tea bags also and putting an image on one side and not covering it with tea bag but leaving it exposed and then smooshing the gluey tea bag up to the edges of the image. I'm excited to start trying some roundish images. I love how these can look mysterious when covered completely - enveloped? Happy New Year! ❇️
Thank you for sharing your ideas! I loved it!! I’m curious as to why you use glue? Does it seep thru the tea bag and make everything stick together so it’s just more flat? If you don’t use glue, and just sew it, would the result be more puffy? I can’t wait to try! Also I’ll try putting the sticker on the book page, behind the tea bag!
Very good idea; thanks for this tutorial. FYI: After you upload your video, there's a place in the editing tab that allows you to rotate your video so it appears right side up.
Thanks for the advice! This was only about my second craft video so I am still trying to figure things out. I apologize for the amateurishness of it, but wanted to share even though I almost didn’t because I’d known I “messed it up”!
Good question! I meant to address that further actually. You definitely want to use waterproof ink for stamping, because I used both regular and waterproof and the regular ones did bleed a bit, whereas the waterproof ones were fine.
So far I still have what I’ve made in a little box and I just look at them now and then, wanting to make more, lol! But the idea is as embellishments in junk journals and other such paper crafts and little art decorations. But I imagine there are a million ways to use them! Add one or two in a card to a loved one as a fun little gift! ❤️😊
I thought you make a garland with these using jute twine to string then. Use tea/coffee died fabric strips tied in-between the bags. Hang on mantel or kitchen window.
I forgot to mention about the shiny magazine page or sticker, if you paint it with clear gesso it will eliminate the shine. You can make homemade gesso, just RUclips it.
Forgive my shoddy camera work! I am still learning and figuring things out as I go. Trying to improve my set up. Please be patient with me and thank you for letting me know I was out of frame so much.
@@4chicagogrl my pleasure. you deserve to be known and good quality video is a big plus. I told the samething to another youtuber few months ago and she fixed it right away so you should find how to do it. thanks for the reply and good luck 😉😉
Hello again! My son looked at it with me and couldn't figure out how it turned out to have uploaded in such a low quality. In any case, we've tweaked things and hopefully upcoming videos will be better! Also, for what its worth, the mostly right side up version of this video (in the link above) was captured at a higher res! :).
Thank you and I’m sorry about that upside confusion! It was only my second video and I am still learning! I appreciate all the advice and suggestions 😊
I have just found your channel but I find that I have to stop watching... You show so much out of shot. Could you zoom out a little so we can see what you have in your hands and what you are showing. The same thing happened when you were ding the flip through of your mom's journal.
i apologise for the shoddy camera work! I am new and trying to figure things out as I go. I am trying hard to do better with each video. Thank you for letting me know it was unwatchable. I hope you don't give up on me! :)
I also thought it would be easier to focus if I only had one item at a time in screen instead of all the supplies, but I can try some other ways of filming and I'm bound to improve eventually!
Love this idea. Any and all themes welcome.
Thanks so much 😊

Will try that! Thanks !
I love teabag art and this is another idea for me to try! Thanks for sharing - a really fun video.
Go for it! Thank you I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
I have some round teabags...now I know how to open and decorate them! TY
You're welcome! Have fun!

SO fun! When I’m busy taking care of other things I wish I was making more of those! 😂
Glad I found you.. These are great! I love your technique!

I'm going to try this! I have a bunch of tea bags that I want to use. Just sus cbribed to your channel!
Awesome! Thank you!
I have never tried this, but I will be making some soon.
Thanks for watching! Its a really fun project!
Like your embellishments
Great teabag art! Great ideas.

Great idea! I do the very same thing in fact! 😊 heehee!
Super fun tags. Thanks for sharing.....Linda from Ohio.,
Thank you for watching! 😊
I don't have archival ink unfortunately. Wonder if u could glue first n stamp once dry? I might try it
Sure! That would probably work fine. Worth a try!
Lovely idea for sure! I do have one question. You mentioned diluting the glue with 1/3 water, but then I saw you take straight from the glue bottle when you were gluing them at the end? Was that straight glue, then? 😊
Thanks so much! I had added water and glue from a big glue bottle of clear school glue into the Elmer's bottle! :)
@@4chicagogrl ok... I wondered if it might be something like that. Thnku... I just dried-out tea bags overnight and I'm going to be taking the Tea out tomorrow.
You can use the non printed strips to stamp words on
Great idea. Now to save those tea bags. It would help if you could show what you are doing is in camera range.

I use shoe polish.
Thank you!
Interesting video, never thought of using tea bags this way.
Thanks! Me neither! Till it hit me! Haha! 😅

A fun project to do with teabags! Have to try this. TFS

Yes the glue holds it all together. If you don't use glue it might work but sewing may be kind of fiddly. Let us know if you try either idea!

@@4chicagogrl No criticism intended. The video is very helpful to me as I have wanted to create such embellishments. Best wishes.
Love this! Just wondering if your stamped ink ones bleed when you glue them? Water based I am assuming?
Good question! I meant to address that further actually. You definitely want to use waterproof ink for stamping, because I used both regular and waterproof and the regular ones did bleed a bit, whereas the waterproof ones were fine.

hello, what you do is very inspiring but the quality video is poor with 360p. Would be great if you can make it higher quality.
