Im attending penn through their online program. The acceptance rate is higher for sure and they offer a "prove your way in" to counter the normal pre-university requirements those in lower incomes may not have access to but it's definitely the same teachers and standards of education. I just had to writing a quick thing saying that I am so unbelievably happy with my education so far. The classes are incredible, the institution is surprisingly down to earth, and with the right drive you'll go places after attending. My tip is to think outside of the box as far as you wanting to get in. It's a little different in my case since the average applicant is a bit older but what got me in was talking about my love for writing, my passion that was stoked by my grandmother, and how I found a passion for education through years of menial labor and hard work. They are for sure looking at a broader scope of people and I think seeing working-class youth applying is something that are trying to increase.

Just some advice: it looked like you didn't stabilize the video in the beginning when you talked about bullseye. This could've been intentional but just thought I'd let you know just in case. Great video, thanks!

why did you not go to penn? was it the cost? because miami gave you full ride and penn didn’t offer any? is it because you’re middle class so you don’t really qualify for need based income for penn?

she said in a vid it was cuz of cost

Penn is need-based, everyone is automatically qualified, it depends on your parents, and your income as well; that's why Penn doesn't give Merit scholarships. Penn is working with Questbridge, and if you get matched in the second round (which usually is a very slim chance since everyone is really competitive), you get a full ride.
