As an S23 user, the battery life in this video seems craaaazy good, my phone has a little bit over a year so obviously the battery is used up a little but still, the fact that that you recorded quite a bit during a day which like you showed is the most battery draining activity and if it weren't for that it would be even better is damn impressive. Tensor G4 seems to be behind either Snapdragon or Exynos in termns of performance but no matter which variant of base Sammsung you would go with I'm pretty sure both would die way faster than Pixel 9.
The S23 has a 3900mAh battery 🔋, the Pixel 9 has a 4700mAh battery 🔋 with a up-mid-range processor, it's normal that it has a better battery 🔋 life, and considering the screen and battery size of the Pixel 9, it is to be compared to the S23 Plus 🤷🏽♂️
Very nice video. Thank you for doing the base Pixel 9 here, everyone is focused on the pro models and it's so hard to find videos on my own regular Pixel 9. Battery seems to be a good start. It will take a couple of weeks to get the full benefit but I have liked the battery life so far myself. So far loving the Pixel 9.
Now, this is a real review. Battery life on data is a key test for smartphones these days. My Pixel 6 Pro gives me less than 3 hours of screen-on time on data. I used the iPhone 15 Pro briefly, and its screen-on time on data was more than 6 hours. So, seeing the Pixel 9 with almost 5 hours of screen-on time on data is not bad, but it still doesn’t match the iPhone, which is disappointing. The base Pixel 9 was rated to have better battery life than the Pixel 9 Pro XL online, so I expected more than 6 hours of screen-on time. Some people online claim they're getting 8 hours of screen-on time, which seems hard to believe and appears to be exaggerated positivity. I'm not saying the Pixel 9 hasn’t improved from the previous Pixel series (6 to 8), which were quite mediocre in battery performance, but claiming 8 hours of screen-on time is hard to believe, especially considering the Tensor chip’s Exynos modem.
Regarding the watch, I had the same issue with my Samsung Z Fold 6. You need to disconnect it from your other phone before connecting it to your new phone.
I had the same issue with my Pixel watch not wanting to connect. I did two things to get it to work. One was I did a factory reset on my watch and I made sure to update my watch on the Fitbit app and Pixel app. Never used a Samsung watch but maybe updating the watch itself or a factory reset would help. Great video! I've been curious about how good the base Pixel 9 was and it looks impressive. The battery life in particular looks improved noticeably on it.
For a late 90s & early 2000s, I can agree with the masses that it’s a solid show. More about the personal life than it is dramatizing the mobster/mafia lifestyle
Regarding the video analysis, marquess Said recently, that he pays extra money to get professional closed captions in multiple languages. I guess that Gemini can scrape more accurate data on video content out of those.
Go in your watch and actually click reset, and put it back to factory , then add it to your phone, I had the same issue. Transfer doesn't seem to work if it's not Samsung to Samsung. But the reset worked and paired fine to my pixel
I have mine and I haven't had ANY heating issues. I've been having it on data only with the hotspot on and using it for about 6 hours of screen on time. No overheating or even heating. You'll notice it has a temperature (not cold) but nothing to where you need to stop what you're doing I'm testing it this weekend on wifi and data to see how much longer it runs before it needs to charge. So far it's lasted 6-8 hours (100% to 10%) with data only, hotspot on, AND about 3-6 hours of screen on time
the phone is good, and camera is decent. The body looks premium , its just the screen. The bezels are thick to me, because I use the S22 and the bezels on S22 are slimmer than Google pixel 9. Idk but the screen bezels makes it look cheaper than its competitors. I am impressed from the battery performance, and the camera, but just that thick bezels is so unattractive to look.
‼️Hey yo Dayo mah man, I hear the 4K 30 is not really 4K 30.‼️ I hear it actually records at 1080p and then uses the video boost option to first upload to servers, upscales, AND HEN download a 4k version of your file... Please check this. Cause if it's true, that could explain why your battery was conserved during the recording.....
Uh no. Let me correct you right there, the 1080p->4k you are talking about there is a completely different feature which you have to choose explicitly to do before hitting record(which he would've mentioned if he did). you can either record 4k60/30 the real way OR record in some other resolution and THEN upscale it to UPTO 8k. So, the recording in the video was actually 4k 30.
As a Nothing Phone 2 owner, I have been LOOKING for videos in comparison to the Pixel 9 or Pixel 9 Pro XL. I would LOVE if you did a full comparison between the two and is it worth the switch from NP2 to Pixel
My pixel xl 9 is going back to Google. Getting mad hot 🔥🥵. If it is a sunny day you getting surely worried it really heats up. Not to mention the lower download speeds via wireless or cellular. Unfortunately not worth it for me I know better got the iPhone 13 pro max and the sw4 ultra. Gemini needs a lot of work I ended up using Google assistant.
i had this problem with my galaxy watch 5 pro and my pixel 8 pro. its a problem a problem with Samsung. i reset my watch, re downloaded the app and restarted the phone all several times. After doing that Samsung wouldn't let me sign back into my account on any other device if its not Samsung. no matter what i try i cant log into Samsung on a pixel. If you find an answer let me know
Google is strangely the only manufacturer that is allowed to copy the design of iPhones without it shocking anyone, but above all to sell smartphones at high-end prices ($800 to more than $1000) with a mid-range processor (even Apple 🍏 doesn't have this privilege) 🤔
Why you spamming in videos? You stupid iSheep, Apple is playing with you every year with same old trash iphones that doesen't even have any cooling system like vapour chamber
Two non-Pixel observations: 1) blah blah blah blah ... _squirrel_ !! and 2) saying a shopping area got 'bougie & gentrified," right before walking back to your _Tesla_ is certified comedy.
Why is a Tesla "bougie and gentrified"? I got a Tesla because I got sick of paying for oil changes, smelling fuel, paying gas prices and so far has been nearly flawless for 3 years. But I guess I'm bougie and gentrified because I chose an electric vehicle...
Nice phone but new boxy design annoys me because they went from their own design feel to an Iphone/Galaxy design. I am sure that when my new 8a gets old and I am ready to upgrade, I will take whatever Pixel has to offer, but the 9 isn't much of an upgrade and I still prefer the pictures of the older Pixel hardware.
As time goes on and other apps get used. some apps may use more battery than others. I had a couple phone calls and streamed Sopranos on MAX. So the camera didn't use 29% of the current battery health. By the end of the day, it only used 19%. Thats the way I understand it.
The phone shows the share an app has consumed since last charge or in the hours you select. At 3:45 he shows that the phone is at 54% and the camera has 29%. That means the camera app used 29% of that missing 46%, not that he used 29% of the whole battery. He then used also other apps that drained more battery, so that's why camera's battery share lowered to 19%
I owned a Google 6 Pro back in the day and returned a few days later. I’m an Apple fan boy and extremely deep in the ecosystem. I would love to try the Google 9 Pro XL but I still would never be able to switch fully. I don’t know how you guys do the Apple to Android switch when you’re heavy on one side of the ecosystem.
