    Please visit Kailasa Temple at Ellora Caves in Maharashtra India. It's considered greatest architecture in history of mankind, because the way it was built seems unbelievable for even today’s time. The temple was built at least 1300 years ago. No stone or nothing was added they carved a mammoth Granite rock/mountain with intricate details. The Kailasa Temple is notable for its vertical excavation-carvers started at the top of the original rock and excavated downward. At least 400000 tonnes of stones have been removed in the process. About 7000 workers and their future generations worked for 135 years. One small mistake and you have to rebuild the whole temple because it's carved into the rock without adding anything, that too up to down.

    16:30 hahahahahahaha oh the energy of India! You know the energy has to be good when an entire group of people "self-stim" using their neck to bobble the head. Everyone knows about all the countries around India but I feel like India is still so under the radar. One of the oldest civilizations and still have so many practices and secrets unrevealed. All the herbs, concoctions, teas, natural remedies. I love Indian chickpeas and lentils. Even their most basic food is so delicious. Thanks for sharing all those dishes I'd never even heard of them.
    Is there a Netflix course on how to make a reality food tour? Your vlog game is off the charts. You guys are such an enigma. Your talents and endeavors are really awe-inspiring.

      There's truly, truly, nowhere like India. I think it ruins you for travel in a way-- nothing is ever quite as exciting as just a normal day here. Sure, I miss the calm and efficiency (and coffee!) of Korea, but there's something to be said for a healthy dose of unexpectedness when traveling. It's really not for everyone, so I feel lucky to have married someone like Pete who also appreciates it! And...we're working on Hays. ;) Thank you for the compliments! I'm really enjoying making and editing the videos from here...now just need to find some more folks to watch (and convert.) :) :)

    Great video as always! I think your editing style has evolved a little since your Korea videos!
    I think you really really nailed the intro montage especially. I love using montages to break up parts of videos and you did it great here.
    Also, the new microphone is DEFINITELY a winner. I said your audio was ok before, and it was. But I can definitely notice a significant improvement.
    With the lens attachment, honestly it's hard to notice much difference BUT honestly with cinematography, you aren't SUPPOSED to noticed so that's probably a good sign that everything looks natural and great. You can probably notice the difference when you're editing side by side, and if you pointed it out to me I'm sure I would too. But it all looks great and I can't wait to see what else you get up to in India 😊
    (I'm a veteran of old bald and bankrupts videos if you know him. I'm sure Pete would love his videos. He used to make loads in India)

    • @StephandPete
      @StephandPete  Год назад +3

      Thanks for watching, Kyle! And for such thoughtful comments, as always. I really enjoy changing it up as we change countries. I'm trying to get snappier and let India do the talking...but I still struggle with being concise! An editor I follow on YT (Hayden Hillier-Smith-- do you watch his stuff?) always talks about "murdering your darlings" but it's really hard in practice! I can't tell the difference in the lens attachment when not talking to the camera, but when talking to the camera, the main difference is our heads aren't cut off, which I really like. Pete watches Bald and Bankrupt but I've only seen a few! Hope you're well and best of luck with the move to Seoul soon.

    • @KairuinKorea
      @KairuinKorea Год назад +1

      @@StephandPete Being concise is really hard. ESPECIALLY if you're a vlogger lol. I remember when I made my soekchon lake video, I recorded the entire weekend and put it into two videos,but being concice and making it flow linearly is really difficult.
      I've never even heard of him haha xD I don't watch any editors, but I have definitely heard the phrase! (I heard some people say "kill your babies" lol, and it is hard. And yes, that definitely makes sense! Generally a wider lens is better for vlogging. I hear alot of people swear by 20mm angles for vlogging. Because while wider angles show more, they can distort faces. but some people still like a 16mm.
      I am not surprised that pete watched him haha xD I'm doing well thank you ^^ Just 3 weeks left now! And I hope to get back to making semi regular videos after that c:

    Guys, if coming into India after some time, I would suggest take a day off and have some Indian yogurt or Yogurt-related stuff into you. Those probiotics will condition your body for the coming days in India.

    india has huge variety of food. in every 50 km food changes. whenever you visit a restaurant you can ask for special Thali of that state you are in. in thali you will get most popular food items of that state. a thali can be both veg and non veg type you have to mention which one you want. this is how you can taste more food item at once .
    most flavourful food are in Kerala known for its beefs and fishes
    for veg Chennai is the place
    Hyderabad has the best non-veg items
    Kolkata is the sweet hub of India
    for delicious snacks it is Gujarat
    Mumbai is the street food capital of India
    please visit North East India for best pork
    for Delhi Belly the city with the similar name is the place.

    Great video! Lovely seeing all of you enjoy your stay, but just a little thing. If you're serious about ranking best food in India , you have to visit Kolkata. I admit I'm biased because it is my hometown but you be the judge. (also it'll be nice to see Kolkata through your videos as I don't live there anymore and I cannot express how much I miss it ) :)

    please try to visit different places in different regions of India, land of diversity. all other countries are made on sameness but this is the only nation which has been made on diverseness. every state would feel like a different country. in every 50 km dialects, foods, culture change in the country. jungles, deserts, mountains, beaches, volcanoes india has lot to offer. in india temperature ranges from -60c to 52c. though the north india has taken lot of battering from invasions over last 2500 years, the south still maintains some of traditional india's culture. North, south and north-east of the nation are completely different to each other.
