The Office Down Under: A New Boss, Same Chaos
Get ready to swap the Scranton Strangler for a Sydney stunner. Prime Video is bringing the cringe-comedy goldmine, The Office, to the Land Down Under, and it’s shaping up to be a roo-arling good time.
Debuting on October 18th, this fresh take on the classic format introduces us to Hannah Howard, a force of nature played by the hilarious Felicity Ward. As the newly appointed managing director of Flinley Craddick Packaging, she's thrown into the deep end when head office announces the branch is closing and everyone's going remote. In a desperate bid to keep her team together, Hannah hatches a series of increasingly bizarre plans, much to the bewilderment and amusement of her colleagues.
Joining Ward in this comedic caper is a talented cast including Edith Poor, Steen Raskopoulos, Shari Sebbens, Josh Thomson, Jonny Brugh, Susan Ling Young, Raj Labade, Lucy Schmidt, Zoe Terakes, Pallavi Sharda, and Claude Jabbour. With guest appearances from Susie Youssef, Justin Rosniiak, Carlo Ritchie, Rick Donald, and Chris Bunton, the show is brimming with local comedic talent.
Produced by BBC Studios Australia & New Zealand, Bunya Entertainment, and Amazon MGM Studios, the series was crafted by Julie De Fina and Jackie van Beek, who also executive produce alongside Kylie Washington. This Australian adaptation is the latest in a long line of global versions of The Office, following in the footsteps of the iconic UK and US series.
