HDR does depend on the display. The display needs to be able to get very bright (hundreds or thousands of nits), otherwise HDR is not possible.
Yes, I know. At least a 1000 nits, 10 (even 12) bits coler and much higher contrast, real contrast and not dynamic contrast. This way we can both have a bright sunlight film from within a cave.
Technically my S8 screen id HDR ready but not exactly full HDR as in the A1 Oled TV mentionned above.
Still, in the end it's still miles ahead of any other current cell phone or any non-HDR tv 😉😁

Why I can't switch on 2160 hdr on my xz premium in RUclips , I can watch simple 2160 60 fps, but hdr video avaliable only in 1080p... Why? I saw videos where people switched 4k hdr on xz premium(I have latest version of this smartphone and RUclips) ...

Downloaded this (4k video downloader) and played back on my projector. Then saw the same demo in a shop on the Bravia. What i noticed on the shop tv was the detail in the black areas disappears. On my projector i can see the two rollers the blowing tube is resting on. So is that tv not set up right?

That's great to hear, it means you have a TV that can do RUclips HDR. All the videos on this channel are in HDR.

Are you sure it's real HDR? My TV will automatically change its settings to HDR once it detects it. It doesn't do that for RUclips though. Do I need a certain browser? I'm on chrome.
You need a long laundry list of things on PC. You obviously need an HDR display. You need a graphics card that supports HDR. You need the latest version of Windows 10. You need to go in the Windows 10 Display settings and enable HDR. And finally you need an up to date browser (Chrome or Edge).

Hello there sorry for the inconvenience, it was a problem with my internet. Apparently the download and upload speed dropped completely to zero for some unknown reason but now it's working fast again and this video is no longer buffering for me in 4K. Again sorry for the inconvenience caused.
