Nice review. After watching your review I decided to go ahead and purchase this grinder. So far I've run several bags of beans thru it. I mostly grind for pour-over but also grind for espresso. I use medium roast for pour-over and medium and dark for espresso. It does a great job on both with the stepless ability to adjust to very fine for espresso and up to and past the point for pour-over. The VieSimple is easy to use, adjust and clean and in addition it is extremely quiet. 30g is the max for grinding. The hopper/bellows on the top "blow" out any residue. I don't know about grind consistency since I've been making frequent adjustments to dial in the grind. I think I've got it now for both pour-over and espresso though I may change my mind on that at any minute since I'm not a coffee snob. In comparison to my Timemore Chestnut C3 Pro Max it does a good job on both grinds. The fit and Finnish are excellent and the unit seems quite substantial. The only complaints are 1. The on/off switch is on the back of the grinder and it's not very convenient. 2. The grinder is very quiet when grinding but is almost completely silent when running empty. A small led light would be a great reminder that it is still on so it wouldn't continue running after finishing grinding.
Would I buy it again: yes. Would I recommend it: For someone on a budget I certainly would. There are no doubt many better grinders at much higher prices but this one seems to be a winner.

      Hi, very helpful experience review.
I have a question, is it better than the timemore c3 pro and is it good for uncompressed basket?

Great review - thanks for sharing. What kind of equipment are you using to extract your espressos? Also, I noticed one reviewer on Amazon complained that his unit was defective. In particular, he demonstrated shaft wobble on the inner burr, yielding in inconsistent grinds. Have you noticed any such defects?

It’s crazy how expensive single dose grinders are. Wish there where more budget ones like this though this one could use some minor improvement. It’s either this or one I found on amazon that can auto measure grams for espresso but it has mixed reviews.

I bought a KinGrinder K6 and it's comparable in consistencey, but does NOT get nearly as fine or coarse as the hand grinder (on sale $90, on Amazon). I can grind more and is great for most everything. I wouldnt use it with a nice espresso appliance that has an unpressurized portafilter.
