- Training the muscles in these 4 ways are a big part of being able to play faster. No matter how good your technique can get, if you don't have the strength to support it, you won't be able to reach your potential for speed. I wish you all the best type of burn, muscle burn in your quest to become faster.

This is one way to make friends with the downstairs neighbours
drummers make friends :)
Psalm 143:8 - Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I entrust my life. Amen!
Yall if you guys believe in God, actually have a committed relationship with Him, read your Bible and pray.

Thank you brother! This topic is difficult to find being discussed... also stretching... very important for health.
Yes fit and healthy body = bigger potential on the drums
Good exercises. I always loved how I can practice drums literally anywhere.
Rock on!
Awesome as ever! I have started to incorporate the hand work into my routine.
Great to hear! and thanks :)
Nice, something to do while I'm at school😂
😂 very good thing to do 😀
Great methods. Thank you so much. I will definitely be doing this
Hope it helps!
Loving these videos bro!! Keep it up man
Appreciate it! 👍
Love your videos dude. I learned about the foot exercises from an old Flo Mounier training course and it really works. Noticed a big difference after practicing those for a week. Now to start doing these hand exercises. Thanks again for the tips, keep up the good work!
Is that a good course?
🙏

Thx I will try that out
Have fun with it!
careful though with this kind of stuff, Schumann crippled his hands thinking he needed a bunch of isometric exercises away from the piano ☝🏻
Definitely need to factor in proper recovery and rest in your routines. Any sort of strength-speed training if overdone will lead to decrease in performance or injury. However if done properly, is what makes someone able to play really fast with ease and relaxation (Chris Turner, Ricardo Merlini). My recommended is practice Monday to Friday 3 sets each as per video explanation, then rest Saturday and Sunday. And Piano is very different from drumset. Drumset is the only musical nstrument that actually requires a very strong muscular foundation if one wants to play upwards of 200bpm hands&legs, and actually use it with enough volume on stage or in the studio.
Love your content and all that you provide! I have feedback for anyone interested:
For lower legs, I highly recommend avoiding lifting your toes with your heels planted, because it trains you to move the pedal using your shin muscles as the motor force, which have much less musclar potential than your calves. You can achieve the same exact end result pedal motion by only dynamically activating your calf muscles. To train your legs to use calves as the motor force instead, practice on the floor, keeping your toes planted on the floor and striking the ground with your heel. Focus on flexing your calves and not lifting from the hip. This eliminates the shins from the equation and ensures you learn how to use the most powerful muscle in the lower leg to perform fast double bass. Cheers!
Oh yes the calves are great and I also do that training(included in my double bass routine) though because of the way I stay very close to the base of the pedal, I end up using quite a lot of shin muscles anyway and I've found that the heel down practice gives me more control and speed than the calf exercises over a period of training. So I do more of the shin and thigh now. And will continue to do that. However the calf is a strong muscle for sure and can be used to great speed and stamina! Cheers for that important input.
@@ArtOfDrummingHQ How interesting! I find that my shins play a definite stabilizing role in my technique. I can see that for you they play a more active role. In my journey, focusing on calves is what gave me the biggest double bass boost, and it's interesting to see others get good results with slightly different approaches. I definitely sit a bit farther from my pedals than you, but perhaps I'll include some shin work in the near future!
I'm also experimenting with a raised ankle exercise. Suspending it off the floor and doing those taps. That should in theory get both shin and calves in one motion haha and I'm finding that I'm weak at that but willing to train it to see how it effects drumming :) cheers man!
NICE. This is actually really helpful, especially for beginner training/skill buiilding early.
Ok, now can you do some videos on building up to complex rhythms with different limbs? (Legit request.)
I already have tons of those here , check them out :) ruclips.net/video/q8vI6-NX0ek/видео.htmlsi=h7T95f9FH2W3nyjX
Me in class
How long should i do this for? Lile 10 min?
I talk about that at the last part of the video
Teachers hated me for this but... I know it should be a bit louder
😂 probably a good idea to still respect the space you are sharing.
Chale, y yo haciendolo por 5 minutos cada ejercicio sin parar. Llevo un mes, les cuento cómo me fue al año
¡Ese es un esfuerzo increíble! esperando tu crecimiento
