Exploring the Ancient Ocean Floor for Shark Teeth and CRYSTALS! | Fossil Hunting in Florida

  • This was a very enjoyable little trip out to a certain location we rarely hunt. This location is known to hold rare great white shark teeth, even though it is not very concentrated with them (or any teeth, for that matter). This spot also holds fantastic calcite crystals and all sorts of beautiful fossilized shells. The best part of this hunt for me, by far, was just getting out and spending some time in the outdoors with some good friends.

The pink flower is Oxalis debilis, the large-flowered pink-sorrel or
pink woodsorrel, is a perennial plant and herb in
the family Oxalidaceae. Its original distribution is
South America but has become a very
cosmopolitan species, occurring in all continents
except Antarctica. It can be found in both
temperate and tropical areas. The flowers, leaves
      and roots are edible.

    Here from Dallmyd's channel.
Got a tip for you on plant identification? If you use an Android phone and have Google lens installed, open it up, select search with camera, put the plant in the centre of the square. Wait until you have multiple white spots on screen as identifying points (ideally the more the merrier) and hit the shutter button. Google Lens will take a photo, search images on the net and give you your results. You should then be able to identify the plant?
It works for all plants and trees, give it a go on plants you definitely know the name of to confirm. It'll even translate foreign menus in restaurants, road signs etc.

Giant clovers: Oxalis? They look just like what we had growing in the backyard over by this weird place that always had standing water-- this was NW FL, and we had a few artesian springs in the area, so I think it was a teeny little spring. They had flowers exactly like that and huge clover-like 3-leaved heads (sour if you chewed on them), and frogs would lay eggs in the water near them.

  • @Okiegirl85
