This has to be someone from the writers as a coming out story, its just the nicest and sweetest ever makes me cry every time. And the acting was so great
2:15 the way Nicola's voice changes when she realised what Arthur is telling her brakes my heart. It reminded me of my coming out. I was in tears in this episode. Well done emmerdale and Arthur as well 🏳️🌈
Glad he came out to Nicola. She is basically kind of an Auntie to him cus of how close she and Laurel are. Arthur knew she was a safe person to come out to and that's always important.
Yeah, the last young person on this show that I can remember coming out at a young age was Aaron and he was already 18 by that point. After that it was people like Robert, Matty and Vanessa who came out well into their adulthood. Outside of Liv turning out to be asexual, giving this storyline for a teenage character played by an actual minor (if I'm not mistaken both Arthur and his actor are both only 15) might be a first for this show so they clearly have a lot of faith in him to pull off this storyline well.
Haven't watched Emmerdale in 20 years and at the time, Nicola was quite an unpleasant character, I watched this episode by chance and happy to see her so nice and supportive to this boy.
This really touched my heart a brought tears to my eyes 🥺 very similar to the way I came out I wrote my parents a letter one night and left it by the kettle for them to see. Was the hardest thing I ever did but the best 🙂 well done emerdale amazingly written xx

A really lovely scene and well acted as are they all on this brilliant soap. I guessed it about Arthur so it wasn't a suprise as such, the way Nicola was with him was lovely.
